I’d like to start by thanking the committee for the invitation to judge my beloved breed, although two of the six entered were present I was very pleased with the quality of the exhibit's present.

PUPPY 

1 Shenleyvale behind orange eyes MR T W A& MISS R F BARREL

A 6 month gold and white bitch who presents a beautiful example of the breed at such a tender age, this is a well constructed little girl of fabulous substance, with a lovely outline held on the move, she has a pleasing round broad skull large dark eyes well spaced and full of expression giving her that typical sweet alert Shihtzu look, ears well placed nicely feathered and hang correctly, dentition correct. Her neck is well arched and flows smoothly over well laid shoulders, she has a broad deep chest with good spring of rib with short strong loins, a well set tail carried beautifully with the desired plume.

Her angulation is balanced front and rear allowing her to move with a free smooth flowing action

Her coat is of good texture and developing well, presented highly, a confident puppy with a bright future

Male gold brindle and white, 2 years old stood alone in the breed, however fully deserving of his best of breed. Attractive masculine head with warm dark round eyes correctly place and good width skull.

Cushioned muzzle with correct dentition. Good reach of neck flowing into well laid shoulders and level top line, maintaining his shape on the move, a sturdy body with good rib and substance. Tail set well and carried correctly over the back. Excellent coat texture presented in beautiful condition.

Moved soundly and steadily both coming and going with good rear drive, pleasing to see him flow effortlessly around the ring with style and balance and carrying himself with confidence and ring presence
