Horley & District Show Society

First of all I would like to thank the committee for entrusting me for my first judging appointment. It was a wonderful experience and I was blessed with super well-behaved specimens. I’d like to also thank my efficient steward, helpful and always ready when required. I  had four wonderful Norwegian Buhunds to judge, all of good confirmation, temperament and fulfilled the breed standards.

1st Draccus Yang. (Rawlinson & Beeney) A lovely happy and fearless bitch with a beautiful expression, and a good wedge head. Good proportions for a youngster, correct tail set and angulation, a light active mover and settled into an appropriate pace. She looked like she enjoyed the experience and continued throughout the day BP, RBOB.

2nd Draccus Yin. (Curnow) Brother of (1), another happy and fearless youngster with good proportions throughout. He stacked well and was happy to be examined. He had a lovely coat, a straight topline and a good tail set.  A more solid youngster with a deep chest, who moved well once he settled. He paced and crabbed a little on the straight but corrected in pattern work.

1st and BOB Mazads Nom De Plume. (Corin & Camm) A happy, handsome and confident dog who presented well, was in great coat and shined today. He is a strong muscular dog, has a masculine head with a defined wedge, he is well proportioned, good bone, with good angulation, and moved so elegantly and effortlessly around the ring. This lad could do a hard day of work. Well  done.

2nd. CH Kligenthal Almuric ShCEx. (Corin & Camm) Father of (1). A well composed calm dog with a lovely expression and lovely dark eyes. Stacked beautifully, good wedge head, solid chest, level topline, correct tail set, good bone. He didn’t move as well as (1) and crabbed on the pattern work. He moved better around the ring at a good pace. Lovely to see him in the show ring again.
