Hampshire Gundog Society

2nd May 2026.

Curly Coated Retriever.

Puppy (0)

Special Yearling (1)

1. Sutton, Whitehouse & Sutton Foxriever Immortal Spirit JW. 22-month exhibit and what a showman he is, typical in outline, not overdone, masculine in head, good bone and excellent coat, would prefer more strength in rear movement, a pleasure to judge. BOB.

Postgraduate (1)

Sutton, Whitehouse & Sutton Foxriever Immortal Spirit JW.

1. As above.

Open (1)

1. Sutton, Whitehouse & Sutton Foxriever Grey Ghost SGWC. Another of super type, tight feet, deep chest, lovely body and maturity all over, there was much to like but he lacked the showmanship and enthusiasm of 1. RBOB.

Golden Retriever.

Minor Puppy (3,1)

1. Morss & Montreverde Olvinglay Polari (Imp Ita). 8-month-old chap, very mature for his age, his head and expression really appealed, well off for body, he is balanced in angles to the fore and rear, super coat and very well presented. BOB.

2. Gaffney Haydengold Moment to Shine. 6-month youngster appreciated the coat, colour and texture, a little longer in body than 1 but not incorrect, would prefer slightly more breadth to the skull, but otherwise a promising prospect.

Puppy (4,1)

1. Morss & Montreverde Olvinglay Polari (Imp Ita). As above.

2. Kiley Xenowey Highlight Of My Daye. Very much appealed, would prefer a touch more length of leg, but scores in head and neck and put on a very good performance for one so young, were unlucky to meet 1.

Junior (2)

1. Wainwright Ashbyglen I Dreamed A Dream. Upstanding chap, handsome in head and expression, level topline, which was held on the move and moved around the ring with ease, very much considered him for higher honours.

2. Gaffney Haydengold Moment to Shine. As above.

Yearling (2)

3. Wainwright Ashbyglen I Dreamed A Dream. As above.

Undergraduate (2)

1. Norman Tonara Silverton. Quality exhibit of correct size and substance, balanced and typical, sadly lacking in coat today, which was a shame as there is much to like and she a real honest and worthy exhibit.

Graduate (2,1)

1. Linfield Tonara Yellowstone JW. Lovely mature male, laid lack temperament, lacked a little enthusiasm on the move, really appreciated the length to leg to length of body ratio, which was spot on, with nothing overdone, pushed hard for BOB. RBOB.

Postgraduate (2,2)

Limit (2,1)

1. Gulliver Tonara Moon Talk. Stood alone but appealed immediately, super silhouette, head and expression appealed, shown in the best of condition and moved well and covered the big ring with ease. BOB.

Open Dog (4,1)

1. Tubb Pauternapaws By Sea With Alsutu. Unassuming chap, not the flashiest, but showed well, a touch too much stop for my personal taste, moved very well and held his topline, a real honest exhibit.

2. Todd Van Gogh Of Sunshines Valley With Toddrosa (Imp Bel) JW. Taller and more robust male, not moving with the freedom and fluidity of 1 today, good neck into well laid-back shoulders, would prefer to more to his head.
