O D/B (2/1) – 1st Davies & Davies Calmarlin Ophelia To Bettyhill BOB G4, PG1 11 mnths pepper bitch. A top class youngster with plenty to like and not much to quibble with. Presents a balanced outline with correct dip behind withers, rise over loin and flow into low tailset, held scimitar-like on the move. Body of good depth and correct length – not over-long – giving the correct, weaselly outline. She has strong round bone and plenty of depth to her body, well let down. I particularly liked her feminine head with strength, plenty of width, big teeth, and lovely dark round eyes giving the typical Dandie melting expression, all topped off with a pale profuse silky topknot. A bit out of coat today, but still expertly presented and her handler managed to overcome her youthful desire to “preserve energy” to show her good movement.
