Critique

Can I just take the opportunity to than the officers and committee of Omagh & District Canine Club for the kind invitation to judge the utility and working group along with the vulnerable native breed class. Special thank you to all the exhibitors who afforded me the opportunity to access their dogs and taking my decisions so graciously.

McKeown Mr D: King Richard – mature male who was enjoying his day out. This boy conveys the impression of determination, strength and activity. Head of good proportions with large wide open nostrils. Eyes round and of moderate size. Nice rose ear set well apart and high away from eye. Strong muscular neck. Broad shoulders, poweful and muscular. Brisket well let down with rounded rib. Forelegs straight and strong hind legs large and muscular slightly longer than forelegs. Appeared to trot with short quick steps with weight transferring from side to side.

It Ch Catch me if u Can Shen Te Chows at Taylorian – Owner Mrs O Taylor

Quality two-year-old male shown alone. Attractive head and expression with good eye and correct pigment. Well-developed shawl and scowl sound in shoulder, and well ribbed. Moved with the desired rolling gait, true both fore and aft, maintaining a balanced and pleasing outline throughout.

1st Kuanyin Her Comes the Girl – Mr & Mrs Campbell

Black smooth-coated bitch of pleasing mature type. Attractive head with good ear placement and pigmentation. Correctly constructed in shoulder with good spring of rib, producing a balanced outline. Held herself well and moved soundly with correct Chow movement. In good condition and gave of her best on the day. Bob

2nd Bet on me Shen Te Chows at Taylorian – Mrs O Taylor

Lovely 11-month-old puppy with excellent breed type. Particularly impressed by her head and expression, with correct pigment and an attractive shawl and desired scowl, well constructed shoulders and moved confidently, carrying herself beautifully. Currently between coats, but shows great promise for the future. Delighted to award her Best Puppy in Breed and BPG1

Elite Fred – Gillian Woods

Young black immature puppy of 9 months, very shy and a little uncertain on the table, backing away from me initially, but moved well once settled and encouraged. It was lovely to see a new puppy and a new handler in the ring. I wish them lots of fun and enjoyment as they learn and grow together.

Bony love of Jordanovski – Mr &Mrs Duffy

A lovely eight-month-old puppy who made an immediate impression. Balanced throughout, with all the essentials appearing to be in the right place and giving a pleasing overall picture. Moved around the ring with confidence and purpose, showing an easy, natural action. Presented itself well, carrying both outline and attitude with assurance. Still very much a youngster, but showing promise — one to follow with interest. Bob & Bpib

Good length of head with well-set ears and correct bite. Clean neck flowing into well-laid shoulders. Good rib length with a short, coupling. In tight hard jacket and furnishing. Moved with purpose and drive, maintaining top line on the move.

1st Tamilanda Bright Star for Dalmarno (Dalmatian) – Mr & Mrs N Webster

Young boy of just six months, very outgoing and friendly, head of fair length, head entirely free from wrinkle, medium eye, oval in shape, bright and sparkling, nice ear, good mouth, nicely arched, light and tapering neck into well laid shoulders, forelegs perfectly straight with strong round bone down to feet and a slight spring in the pastern joint. Good top line, nice ribs and carried well back, well-defined withers, round, muscled second thigh, good turn of stifle and hocks well let down, round feet with well-arched toes, tail reaching to the hock, moved with great freedom.Nice clean markings Will watch this boy with great interest. Another very nicely marked young dog. Head of good length, bright well shaped eye. Clean arched neck into clean shoulders. Good spring of rib. Held top line on the move. Good bone and feet Another one I will watch with interest.

1st IrCh Snugines Vogues Legacy – McVea, Cutts &Galvin

Presented a pleasing feminine headpiece with well-shaped eyes. Good length of neck leading into well-angulated shoulders and a straight front. Well balanced throughout, with good proportions for size and frame, correct length of rib and loin, and good rear muscling. Correct tail set and tail length to hock. Moved freely and soundly. Bob G1

2nd Ir Ch Snugines Trinity Harp – J Gallagher

Another very nice girl nice head piece with well shaped eye and ear. Nice reach of neck, good front, rib and loin. Well muscled rear. Moved well, these two I am sure will change places many times.

A nicely constructed girl with a straight front, correct bone, and a well-developed forechest. good-length head with a strong under jaw. Square and compact overall, with a firm, slightly sloping topline and balanced angulation. Moved freely and efficiently with good reach and drive.

Strong head, square muzzle and deep stop with correct eyes and topical ears well set. Strong neck, nice front assembly with straight front legs, large round feet. Held top line on the move, hind angulating matching front.

2nd IrCh Int ch Eald Stone Calf with Neaphen –(Sussex spaniel) Mrs Arrell

Nice head moderate curve to scull with stop and frown Strongly built boy well boned, deep chest and well misled thighs nice seton of tail that never stopped wagging. Moved with the topical Sussex roll carrying head just above level back.
