Special Award Classes

Judge – Mrs Jane Eyeington (Meadowdale)

I would like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this friendly and well-run show. A huge thank you to all the exhibitors for the pleasure of your super dogs, lovely to have quality exhibits with close decisions.

Junior Dog/Bitch (5,2)

1. Miss Irving - Twinan Silver Dollar

Impressive 10-month-old dog puppy, confident and full of mischief. I appreciated his balanced proportions and masculine strength, which give him a shapely silhouette. He has a handsome head with a flat skull, well-placed ears, dark eye and pigmentation. His strong, clean neck flows smoothly into a firm topline, finishing with a well-set and well-carried tail. He stands on straight, well-boned limbs, displaying good depth of brisket, easy to span and a prominent forechest. He drives around the ring using his strong, moderate, muscular hindquarters. Presented in a coat of good texture.

2. Mr & Mrs Galloway - Chadbrook Treacle At Lejamla

Smart 8-month-old bitch of pleasing size and feminine throughout. She has an attractive head with a flat, gradually tapering skull, well-placed ears, and dark eyes. Her neck is of good length, flowing smoothly into a firm topline. She shows sufficient depth for her age and is easy to span. Her hindquarters feature good width of thigh, a nice bend of stifle, and low-set hocks. She moved with drive from the rear, though her front action could be a little tidier.

3. Miss, Mrs, & Mr McDonald - Twinan Ivanna With Donurie

Post Graduate Dog/Bitch (8,1)

1. Jackman - Navigareamor Storm Gerrit

Well-constructed 2-year-old bitch displaying a balanced outline with good height and length ratios. Most feminine of heads, with a flat skull, slightly shorter foreface, and dark, almond-shaped eyes with dark pigmentation, all contributing to her appealing expression. Her clean, well-proportioned neck flows seamlessly into a firm, well-held topline to a well-set, and carried tail. She has the right amount of depth and spring of rib and was easily spanned. Her hindquarters exhibit a good bend of stifle and low-set hocks, enabling her to move with drive.

2. McCluskey & Young - Tiltser Voulez Vous Avec Chadbrook

Very smart and outgoing 2-year-old male who presented himself confidently. He is ideal for size and balance, with a handsome head and a hint of mischief in his dark eyes. He shows good depth of brisket and a well-filled forechest, standing on well-boned limbs and tight feet. He maintains a firm topline both standing and moving, with an ever-wagging tail that is correctly carried. His moderate hindquarters display excellent muscle tone, today I just preferred the rear drive of the winner. Presented in excellent coat and condition.

3. Klocankova & Pool - Shadlisa Dream Girl

Open Dog/Bitch (7,1) Lovely class

1. Mr & Mrs Lane - Kulawand Wicked Waffle

Smart 4-year-old bitch, who has good overall proportions, balance, and a graceful flow to her outline. When standing, she presents a shapely silhouette that blends functionality with femininity. Her attractive head features a flat skull, neat ears, and dark, almond-shaped eyes that miss nothing. Her keen, alert expression is endearing. She exhibits good length of neck, some forechest, and a brisket with ample depth that is easily spanned. She maintains a firm topline and a well-set tail. Her angulation is nicely balanced both fore and aft. She moved with enthusiasm and drive, displaying her happy demeanour.

2. Mrs Evans - Kulawand Wicked Whisper At Jackapack

There is much to admire on this bitch, I see she is the litter sister to the winner and shares many of the same desirable qualities. She is pleasing in size and balance, presenting a shapely outline when standing, with nothing overdone. Her head is feminine, featuring a flat skull, well-set ears, and dark eyes, giving a keen yet gentle expression. I appreciated her front assembly, with forelegs neatly positioned beneath her and a well-developed forechest. She has the correct shape and spring to her ribcage, along with a well-set, well-carried tail. Although not quite in the same condition as her sister today, she was presented with a good jacket.

3. McCluskey & Young - Chadbrook Arran JW
