Judge – Mrs Jane Eyeington (Meadowdale)

I would like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this well-run premier show. It was a rather warm day, so thank you to all exhibitors for the pleasure of your lovely dogs

Dalmatian

Puppy (1,0)

1. Page & Howell - Winflash Coco By Chanel

Very smart 11-month-old black bitch whose body lines are graceful and feminine, yet display the desired strength. She has a well-balanced and pretty head, with a flat skull, well-placed ears, and keen dark eyes. Her neck is of good length, flowing into a firm topline and a well-set, well-carried tail. Still to fully develop in forechest, but her brisket is down to the elbow. A free and positive mover, covering the ground well. BP & BOB

Special Yearling (2,1)

1. Page & Howell - Olilou Its Gucci At Winflash

This nearly 2-year-old black bitch presents a pleasing outline and is both happy and alert in her demeanour. She has a well-balanced head of good proportions, with dark oval eyes that give a very kind expression. Her clean neck is of good length with a slight arch. She has good depth to the ribcage, though I would prefer a little more fill in the forechest. She stands on well-boned limbs. I liked her profile action, not quite as tidy behind today.

Limit (2,2)

Open (2,1)

1. Page & Howell - Winflash Tom Ford

Strong and robust black dog, approaching 2 years of age. He stands foursquare with good body proportions and a pleasing flow to his outline. He possesses strength without coarseness. His head is well proportioned, with a dark eye and well-placed ears. He has a fairly long neck flowing into a well-held topline, with good fill in the forechest and development of the ribcage. Strong, round-boned limbs with tight feet. He used his muscular hindquarters to drive powerfully around the ring. Not quite as clean going away as his younger kennel mate. Expertly handled and in lovely condition. RBOB

Sealyham Terrier

Limit (1,0)

1. Mr & Mrs Khrenov - Gelodnea Guinevere

4-year-old bitch who was somewhat hesitant and unsure of her surroundings, so did not show herself to full advantage. She displays the correct oblong outline. Her head is balanced, with a lovely dark eye. She held a firm topline and showed sufficient development through the body. Slightly erratic on the move today.

Open (1,0)

1. Mr & Mrs Khrenov - Lord Of The Rings Of Taita’s At Gelodnea

Robust and sturdy 3-year-old dog who presents a pleasing outline when stacked. He has good body proportions and a smooth flow throughout. His masculine head features good width between the ears and a strong foreface. His dark eyes are alert and keen. He holds a firm topline both standing and, on the move, with a well-set and well-carried tail. Well developed in body, both wide and deep. He was a little untidy coming towards me today, but showed good drive from the rear.

West Highland White Terrier

Special Yearling (1,0)

1. Mrs Libich - Ivo Durga Era (Imp Pol)

16-month-old dog with pleasing overall balance. He has a masculine head of good proportions, a lovely dark eye, and small, erect ears that give an alert and keen expression. Beginning to develop through the body, though he lost his topline at times today. Strong hindquarters with good width of thigh and low-set hocks. Moved well from the rear with drive. Presented in a harsh jacket.

There is so much to admire in this 8-month-old red Lakeland Terrier dog. Exceptionally smart, he shows himself off with confidence and verve. I particularly liked his head and expression, keen and alert, with small dark eyes and neat, well-set ears. He has a good length of neck leading to a firm topline, with plenty behind the tail. He uses his hindquarters to drive around the ring with enthusiasm. Presented in a well-prepared, harsh jacket. Best Puppy & Puppy Group 1

Her strong neck of moderate length leads to a well-developed body. Forelegs are slightly bowed, ending in compact feet. She holds a good topline that rises to the loin. Moved a fraction close behind today but was free in her action. Coat of harsh texture.
