Spaniels(Cocker) – James Kelly

Puppy (6/4abs)

1 Miss K Tagg – Crincoed Game Player 8m d Blue Roan – good head properties equal from nose to stop and to occiput. Square muzzle, nice eye shape and long low set ears. Well laid shoulder and very good front assembly with correct catlike feet good pads. Correct height to length ratio and long ribs short loin and nicely rounded strong hindquarters with nice tail set. Moved out well, true fore and aft, tail carried level.

2 Mrs K Ciupa – Velvet Petalwhisp 8m b Blue Roan – Much more immature than 1 but with pleasing head. Nicely balanced body and good feet. Just needs to body up which I’m sure will come in time.

Junior (6/3abs)

The first 2 in this class were a delight. It was a tough decision.

1 Miss M & Miss M Brothwell – Annilann Da Business At Wissant JW 13m d Blue Roan – Excellent proportions with very good shoulders and upper arm nicely tucked in elbows.

Classic head with lovely long ears nicely set. Lovely tight feet. Moved really well.

2 Mrs CA West – Edasiy Dream Upon A Star By Sheigra (Imp Can) 14m d Red – Very similar comments to 1. His expression was just melting. He has a real look at me presence. Again lovely feet and moved very well. Will watch both of these with interest and I’m sure they’ll swap places many times.

1 Mr D & Mrs A Marshall – Wissant Moon And Stars 3yo b Blue Roan – Super super little one that has so much potential. A very close thing for BOB she just needs to mature a bit. I really liked her head. But most of all her overall balance. Correct tail set just slightly lower than her super topline and carried level on the move. Reserve Best of Breed

2 Mrs DS Turner – Lochranza Celtic Spring At Dartemis 2yo d Black – A mature youngster with a good solid body and the right amount of muscle. Head qualities all good, bone good. Lovely coat and nice feet.

3 Mrs CA West – Edasiy Dream Upon A Star By Sheigra (Imp Can)

1 Mrs CA West – Sheigra Simply A Star JW ShCEx OSW VW 8yo b Black – Simply the whole package. Doesn’t look like or move like a veteran. Fabulous head really square muzzle super eye shape and nice long well set ears. Lovely flow from neck to shoulders long ribs and nice gentle croup with correct tail set. Really super from the front straight well boned and super tight feet. Covered the ground well and really drove around the ring. Super proportions in profile and excellent coat well presented. Best of Breed

2 Mr & Mrs D Leslie – Ferrersedge Shilling JW 2yo d Blue Roan – A bit immature here but nice balance. Nice head proportions and good length of neck. Needs to fill out and fill his frame.
