Breed Results: Afghan Hound (Day 2) 352. Afghan Hound - Post Graduate Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST 475 - Cloudside Ice Angel (Miss L Aynsley) A well constructed self masked cream bitch, who appealed for her proportions and balance. She is balanced in head with excellent strength of underjaw and triangular eyes. Pleasing neck into well laid shoulders and good length of upper arm. Chest reaching to elbow and well filled in front. Level topline and good fall away at the croup. Well muscled hindquarters. On the move everything really comes together, she has typical springy gait and covers ground with excellent shape and tail carriage. Was pleased to see her go on to win Hound Group 2! Breed Results: Beagle (Day 2) BOB 478 - Molesend Linnet (Mr M W & Mrs J S Goldberg) RBOB 483 - Mackhovie Elladan (Mr K R & Miss C R Macdougall & Kelly) BP 482 - Mackhovie Alala (Mr K R & Miss C R Macdougall & Kelly) 354. Beagle - Special Yearling Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 1ST 482 - Mackhovie Alala (Mr K R & Miss C R Macdougall & Kelly) Difficult to split 1 & 2. Preferred the head and expression of 1. Pleasing outline when stacked and of good proportions. Well made in front, well laid shoulder and complimentary upper arm. Level topline, short strong loin. Excellent rear quarter angulation and well muscled. Moved well up and back and felt held a firmer shape to topline in profile. 2ND 477 - Mackhovie Astraea at Molesend (Mr M W & Mrs J S Goldberg) A feminine bitch, better for size than 1 and of ideal proportions. Again, has excellent front construction, good depth and fill of chest and level topline. Well bent stifle and in good muscular condition, she used this really well on the move, unfortunately not holding quite as firm a topline moving as 1. Nevertheless a very active mover, covering ground with her low reaching front and excellent drive. 355. Beagle - Post Graduate Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST 478 - Molesend Linnet (Mr M W & Mrs J S Goldberg) So pleasing on the eye, this tan and white bitch is excellent for size, substance and is feminine. Her head is of ideal proportions, and her soft expression and well set ears finish off a lovely picture. Well laid in shoulder with good return of upper arm, chest reaching to elbow with good front fill. Well bent hind quarters, well muscled and used to her advantage on the move, holding a firm level topline, with great ground covering stride. A really lovely bitch, I was pleased to see she also won Hound Group 1. 356. Beagle - Open Entries: 5 Absentees: 2 1ST 483 - Mackhovie Elladan (Mr K R & Miss C R Macdougall & Kelly) A smart tricoloured dog. Appealed initially for his proportions and typical shape. Although I would not want him any stronger in head, it is of equal proportions with well set ears. Well laid shoulder and good length to upper arm. Textbook topline, well set and carried tail with slight tuck up. Well muscled moderate hindquarters. Kept his excellent shape and was very active on the move with low reaching front and drive from the rear. 2ND 476 - Ch Molesend Ibis of Breskar JW (Mr M & Miss K L Butters & Theobald) Tan and white bitch, good for size, but slightly longer in loin for ideal proportions. Good length and strength to neck into well laid shoulder, OK for return of upper arm. Keeps a level topline stacked and moving and has excellent rear quarter angulation. Moves well up and back but didn’t have the fluidity in front movement as 1. 3RD 484 - Bayard Bee Good (Ms M Pocklington-Hall) Breed Results: Deerhound (Day 2) BOB 490 - Kynroan Lindisfeorna (Dr R & Mrs J Pounder) RBOB 491 - Packway New York New York (Dr R & Mrs J Pounder) 358. Deerhound - Post Graduate Entries: 3 Absentees: 2 1ST 490 - Kynroan Lindisfeorna (Dr R & Mrs J Pounder) Feminine bitch, excelled in profile movement. Pleasing head of good proportions and well muscled neck. Well laid shoulders with good return of upper arm but would like some more front fill. Could be more shapely in topline. Well angulated and muscled hind quarters. Moved well going away but could be more tidy coming towards. 359. Deerhound - Open Entries: 3 Absentees: 2 1ST 491 - Packway New York New York (Dr R & Mrs J Pounder) A well made bitch, appealed for her typical outline. Excellent head, eye and ear carriage giving a lovely expression. Preferred shape to topline compared to the Post Graduate winner, but could not match post graduate winner on the move. Would not like any more angulation in the rear. Moved ok up and back, but not could have a touch more stride in profile. Breed Results: Rhodesian Ridgeback (Day 2) BOB 494 - Msingi Fancy That at Cynami JW (Mr L & Mrs C L Hall) RBOB 493 - Msingi All About Me of Cynami JW (Mr L & Mrs C L Hall) 362. Rhodesian Ridgeback - Post Graduate Entries: 4 Absentees: 0 1ST 494 - Msingi Fancy That at Cynami JW (Mr L & Mrs C L Hall) I really appreciated this well made bitch, she is good for size with pleasing head, ears and expression. Well angulated front and rear and when she began cooperating with her handler she covered ground well in profile and was sound up and back. 363. Rhodesian Ridgeback - Open Entries: 4 Absentees: 2 1ST 493 - Msingi All About Me of Cynami JW (Mr L & Mrs C L Hall) Good head and reach of neck leading into well laid shoulders. Has enough shape to topline and underline. I’d not like her tail any higher set. Won this class on movement, used her rear quarters well moving away and in profile. 2ND 492 - Kenquince Pisonia of Cynami ShCM VW (Mr L & Mrs C L Hall) 12 year old bitch, stronger through than I’d like. Pleasing shape to topline and preferred her croup and tail set to 1. Would not like any more rear quarter angulation. Showed her age on the move today, not quite as active as the class winner.
