I would like to thank the Society for this appointment at this excellently run show. The Secretary should be commended for her hard work and jokes that came over the intercom during the day which kept us all entertained.

Was quite unsettled however has a nice head and good construction. Moved ok held top line on move

Lovely girl with stunning head, good neck into well angulated front. correct top line held on the move. Powerful movement. In good hard condition

2 Convica Lead the Way - Oorloff – Basenji

Just 12 months old. Nice head and expression. Well constructed through out. Nice tail set and curl. Moved well with purpose

Very nice specimen of the breed, Lovely head, correct angulation to front, good depth of chest, correct top line, well ribbed back, firm rear end moved well.

2 Convica Fast & Furious – Oorloff – Basenji

Nice head good shoulder placement, nice top line held on move, good rear end which powered movement forward. Good tail placement and curl.

Stunning head, long neck into correctly constructed front end, nice top line, well ribbed back with plenty of heart room. Rear angulation and correct muscled tone powered this boy round the ring He pushed the winner in the group hard and it was a difficult decision between the two of them

2 Empetthounds Genesis into Tiffwazz – Valentine – S/H Dachshund

Nice head, eye shape and set, front and rear angles match. Well ribbed back, powerful movement and held the top line when moving.

8 month old girl who has a very nice head and expression. Correct eye colour, good ear set and length. Nice neck into good front. Well boned through out. Level top line, Well angulated rear, correct tail set and carriage. Just needs a bit more confidence. Best AVNSC Puppy and Puppy Group 3

Correct height to length ratio, Lovely head and eye. Nice length to neck, Good depth to chest and short loin. Nice long muscles on rear legs, Very graceful movement Best AVNSC

2 Une Daphne Des Vallees Longeronnaises with Bleucolline (Imp Fra)- Rigby & Bird - Basset Blue de Gascogne

Nice young lady however was quite hesitant. Nice head and correctly angled front and rear. Strides out well.

I have admired this hound for a long time and was shocked to find out that he is now well into veteran as his looks and attitude are that of a hound half his age. His construction and condition is as it should be, his coat is amazing and his movement is a joy to behold as he powered round the ring so effortlessly . He could not be denied BOB and Hound Group 1

Nice male, well constructed, and in good solid condition with a lovely coat, however not as good as 1 on the move

Good head, ear set and expression, nice neck into well constructed front, would prefer better rear angulation, moved ok

1 Cynetkoy River Pheonix – Holt – Res BOB

Very nice male with good head, nice dark eye, nice front and rear angulation which gave him powerful ground covering movement.

Limit

1 Nykarth’s Under Wraps – Holt \- Best of Breed

Lovely boy presented in great hard condition and good coat of correct texture. Appealing head and expression with ears set correctly and of good length. Carried a level top line with good tail carriage when he powered round the ring.

2 Jamar Miss Skylar – Bishop

Nice girl with good head and expression. Well constructed, held a good top line and tail carriage on the move. No 1 just had the edge on movement.

Nice head, good ear set and length, well constructed with coat of good texture. Moved well but would prefer slightly more tone to rear end muscle to enable a little more drive

This male has great character and does not show his age, he is well constructed with a cheeky glint in his lovely dark eyes. Moved well

Nice puppy with appealing head and expression, good length of leather, nice neck into well constructed front and rear, carried top line well on the move and moved powerfully for one so young

2 Harvidene Breaking Dawn – Unett

Nice puppy but needs to muscle up, head and expression were good, length of neck and construction were ok. lack of muscle hindered what could have been good movement

1 Harviene Cuckoo in the Nest – Unett - Best of Breed

This male really caught my eye as he is well constructed and in good muscle tone which enabled him to power around the ring. His head is and expression are correct as is his pigmentation. Lovely length of leather, nice neck into well constructed front, level top line held on the move, powerful rear and correct tail carriage. He has no exaggeration at all and looked like he could go all day if required

Nice looking bitch as you would expect from this kennel, and much of the above apply to her - she just didn't put the effort in when moving which cost her best of breed

This was my star hound puppy of the day, 10 month old male full of attitude His head is very well shaped and his dark eyes show a hint of mischievousness, Correct length of neck and nice front and rear angles, good bone and well muscled. Level top line with good tail carriage. lovely powerful movement for one so young. He is certainly one to watch in the future,

Nicely constructed and carrying good muscle, level top line and tail carriage when moving but just not as forward going as 1

Quality hound with great construction and not exaggerated. appealing expression with good pigmentation, good wide nostrils, correct length of neck, good fore and aft construction, moved well

2 Haggatty Callisto JW - - Whitton – Res Best of Breed

Another lovely hound but just not as forward in movement as 1which cost him 1st place, he had a better head shape than 1. Construction and muscle tone is good.

Nice male with good head and ear set, nicely constructed front with good dept the chest and good length to the ribbing, good ground clearance, strong rear end. Moved well

2 Lokmadi Charles Dance – Hawdon

Similar in construction to 1 however not as powerful on the move as he appeared to be a little reticent today.

Head was little snippy for me, construction is ok however would like more depth to chest and better length to ribbing, tail is too long as it was on the floor when moving.

1 Olphae Governor JW –Lewis

Very nice hound with lovely head and furnishings, correct ear set length and fold, nice length of neck into good front, level topline to correct tail set and nicely constructed rear end. Good bone and length of leg with nice size to his webbed feet. Correct texture to coat and nice solid ground covering movement with good walk to trot transition.

2 Olphae Ember – Lewis & Wheatley

Another quality hound for this successful kennel and much of the above applies to her. Her transition from walk to trot was not quite as positive.

A stallion hound that I have admired since he was a puppy. Very handsome head, correct ear set and fold, very good shoulder placement, level top line into correct croup. Good rear angulation. Strong bone through out. Correct tail carriage, lovely walk to trot transition. Powered round the ring effortlessly.

21 month old male who has nice head and front construction, level top line and good tail carriage. Moving was a bit close on the rear.. He was also a bit shy.

Nice head and expression, good length to neck into well laid shoulders, level top line, correct rear angulation with good tail carriage. She was also a bit nervous.

Very nice male with lovely head, good length of neck into a well constructed front end, level top line and good tail carriage, powerful well constructed rear end enabling him to move with purpose and drive. Has good strong bone.

2 Gabisa Hob Nob with the Baron – Geeves – Res BOB

Another lovely male however on the move he was a tad close in the rear which cost him a place.

Very pretty young lady with a lovely head and appealing expression, good length to neck flowing into correctly angulated front, good bladed bone, adequate depth to chest for age and not too much tuck up, Rear is correctly angulated. Moved well

Nice male with good head and dark eye, Nice front and rear, good top line and correct tail carriage, moved well

Front construction was troubling in this class and consequently none of the front moment was as it should have been.

This young lady is just as the standard says, well muscled, very graceful and not exaggerated in any way. Lovely head with good dark eye, correct ear set, good length to neck into well set shoulders, nice bladed bone, good depth to chest and not too much tuck up, nice rear with correct tail set and lovely economical movement.

Very nice male and very close up to 1st, Well constructed and good muscle tone enabling him to move very well, Just preferred the overall picture of no 1

My star of the day. This young lady is still raw but exudes quality, She has a great head with lovely ear set and length, good neck into correct front end, good depth to chest, carries and great top line and correct tail carriage, well angulated rear end with good muscle tone, Moved economically with fantastic reach and drive. Pushed hard for BOB but had to give way to maturity. Was overjoyed when she was awarded Gundog Puppy Group 1 & Res Best Puppy in Show.
