First of all I would like to thank the Minehead & District Canine Society for the honour & pleasure of judging this Open show. I must then thank my efficient & capable stewards who kept me on track & looked after me through the day. Most of all I would like to thank the exhibitors who rose from their beds at early hours & drove many miles to give me an entry and take my decisions in a good sporting manner.

A nice puppy dog with good expression, scissor bite, good set ears, good thick double coat , he has a good reach of neck, spanable ribs well laid back to a good loin & strong quarters, moved and handling ok.

2nd- Thistlemead Fedora (Heeley, Ms M)

Attractive youngster puppy bitch, nice head, shown in good thick coat, nice pleasing in rib, strong in loin & has a correct short tail.

 Beautifully sized, balanced bitch in excellent condition being well muscled & shown in neat tight harsh coat. Appealing feminine head with a keen expression ,perfect scissor bite & neat ears. Good reach of neck, good shoulders & good ribs easily spanned & nicely carried back. Good topline & underline, moved and handling very well(B.O.B.)

2nd-Clydebeck Opal-(Taylor Mrs S A & Miss J A)

 A smart nicely headed bitch with a good reach of neck good topline & tail set. Right for size & well muscled with good quarters which she used with drive around the ring, moved and handling well.

3rd-Earthtaw Snow Leopard(Hydon J) A nicely sized puppy dog who is good to go over, very nice head with a beautiful expression, scissor bite, dark round eyes, good set ears He has spans easily & has a good length of rib & back with nicely turned quarters, very happy puppy in the ring, moved and handling very well.(B.P.I.B.)

Masculine dog put down to the minute in good thick harsh jacket on a thick pelt. Good topline & tailset, strong well muscled quarters & neat feet. Good strong head with strong muzzle, dark eye & neat ears, perfect scissor bite, moved and handling well.

 Pleasing head with feminine expression, shown in good condition with harsh coat, well muscled throughout, good length of rib & body, nicely turned quarters, moved and handling ok.

shown in the best of condition with a good harsh coat ,nice head with a good expression, scissor bite, he is balanced overall with & has a good neck & topline finished by a well set tail. he is easily spanned & his ribs are well carried back, moved & handling very well.(R.B.O.B.)

1st-Carnkie Ragged Robin-(Jackman, Miss N S & Mrs S R)

A nice dog with large strong head, broad skull covered in a large well presented silky soft white topknot, and fore face with strong jaw and teeth. Muscular strong neck into well laid back shoulders well angled to upper arm, deep chest with good width. Body of good weight with well rounded and sprung back rib cage, nicely coated in harsh pepper jacket with soft undercoat. Muscular hindquarters with good return of stifle, moved and handling well.(R.B.O.B.)

2nd-Diamondandie Ruby Sunrise-(Mcgunness, Mrs C J)

Bitch with a lovely outline that covers the ground well on the stance. Feminine strongly built head, nice set of ears, good stop separating kind alert well set apart dark brown eyes, all narrowing into a balanced strong muzzle with a black nose. Slightly arched neck into well laid shoulders with slight dip behind and rise over her loin, to her well rooted tail set on and carried well, moved well and handling ok.

A stunning looker on the stance who looked very handsome, on the table, he felt so correct firstly being of a good height and with the length to his long strong body, covered in a harsh textured coat of good length with a good soft linty undercoat. Masculine strong head covered in a beautiful silky top knot, nice skull with well positioned ears nicely tipped. Correct domed forehead narrowing to his large dark brown open eyes set well apart, strong muzzle, head held well on strong neck set into laid back shoulders nicely angulated with width and depth to chest, a correct backline with a rise over his loin, strong muscular hindquarters with a well rooted and feathered tail. Super rear angles with a good return to his stifle and let down hocks. Short correctly built and balanced legs and round tight feet, moved and handling very well.(B.O.B.)

An attractive strongly developed head with a broad skull and well presented creamy white top knot, head narrowing to a strongly made muzzle well set on and hung thin ears with tassel ends, correct stop, sweet expression to large open brown eyes, proud head carriage on an arching of neck to well laid back shoulders well angled to upper arm and depth and width to chest, well bodied and sprung ribs well back into a short loin, short strong well boned legs and compact feet, moved and handling well.

1st- Saffdales Countess Cobra-(Mccammick, Mrs R)-Retriever(Golden)

Almost 10 months old bitch, stood out as the most well-balanced in the class, with minimal fuss from her handler, she showed off his well-proportioned head and good muzzle length, a very nice kind expression; she has well-placed ears that she uses effectively, her front assembly is first class, featuring a clean neck and well-laid-back shoulders, she has a firm, level topline and an excellent tailset, her forechest development is appropriate for her age and build; she has ample turn of stifle and width in the second thigh, she moves steadily and effortlessly, covering the ring with good forward reach. This young bitch is likely to take her time maturing fully, which I see as a positive.

2nd-Membully The Sting Of Wisdom(Barrett, Mrs H)-French Bulldog

Male with dark eyes, well set ears overall making for a pleasing masculine expression. He has a lot of bone and substance, especially for a young dog. Lovely front with neat feet, stands straight and strong with purpose making him clearly masculine. Handled and moved very well.

Very nice dog present in excellent condition , good size and excellent balanced outline ,masculin head with dark glinting eye and well placed ears, perfect bite,strong and muscled neck has good bone and substance, Straight front. Good depth of body, short coupled and well ribbed ,very good topline and excellent front and rear angulations, Moved very well especially in profile and showed with confidence.

2nd-Farlap Kaleb(Westron,Mrs S & Mr S)-(Bloodhound)

What a super youngster ! Beautifully balanced male with a good head expression, correct bite, clean eyes, correct ears set, good neck running into well laid shoulder , excellent bone and deep ribbing, correctly front and rear angulation, his movement is a joy to watch with great reach and drive .
