Thank you to the committee for the kind invitation to judge at this friendly welcoming show. The weather, understandably, meant there were some absentees and I hope everyone had a safe journey to and from the show. Thank you to all who entered; I was delighted with the quality and thrilled to see my Puppy Hound Group winner awarded BPIS and my Veteran winner place BVIS.

Developing nicely at 15 month old. Masculine head with good expression and eye set. Moved freely showing a good springy action, once settled in the later classes. Promising overall shape with pleasing shoulders and quarters. RBOB

1st Virgo’s Am Ch Suni Sky Full O’Stars by Sumahari (Imp USA)

Dignified hound, with good carriage. Nice head, with correct eye and expression. Super neck leading to good front. Nice depth and length to the body, well made quarters to enable easy, true gait, which came into his own in the larger group ring BOB HG2

Lots to like about this pretty 7 mth old with superb expression, correct ears of good length. Lovely type and though a little bum high at the moment she has great construction coming from nice lay of shoulder, correct feet, good depth of chest and well ribbed. Good quarters and well let down hocks giving good stride BOB BP HPG3

Nicely made 2 year old with pleasing head with kind dark eye. Good through the body showing correct ratios giving good balance and correct off the croup to good rear quarters. Moved very true.

2nd Pocklington-Hall’s Merlin Do Casal Dos Choupos (Imp PRT) ShCEx VW

Giving a little away in age at 8.5yrs but still fit and sound. Good head with excellent proportions and well set eyes and ears. Nicely proportioned and moved out with a good stride.

Stood alone but a lot to like abut this 2yr old male. Typical head with well defined stop and equal proportions, Strong neck with good shoulder placement and oval ribbing, nice over croup to high tailset. Moved out nicely BOB

Well boned male, rising 3yrs, and displaying typical Beagle attitude. Strong head with good length to ears. Compact through the body with balanced angulation and well let down hocks. Good feet and showed a free ground covering stride. BOB

1st West’s Delsaux Twenty Carat Golden for Kendalldax

Both lovely examples and just preferred the movement of this 17mth old. Very feminine head with correct almond eye set. Lovely length of neck with balanced front and rear. Good topline with strength through the body. Moved out well with good footfall. BOB

2nd Page’s Giovanni Rude for Kokodax (Imp LTU)

Handsome 18mth old male with nicely proportioned head. Pleasing forechest and standing on good feet. Good topline held on the move, with good rear quarters.

Really liked this smart 13mth old. She moved out as if she owned the ring showing excellent drive and correct footfall. Pretty head of correct proportions with good ear carriage. Lovely neck leading to good topline and well developed front. Nice depth and well ribbed. Good rear quarters and parallel behind, correct feet. BOB HG4

2nd Bell’s Indiko Cast In Cream At Tolberg

Litter sister to first and many of the same qualities. Lovely feminine head with correct dark almond eye and well placed ears. Long neck, with good front and showing strength through the body. Just not as precise on the move today.

3rd Kirby’s Deliciaedax Dominion 

A little unsure of himself but moved nicely when he found his stride. Good proportions throughout and balanced angulation. Pleasing head with good eye and ear set. BP

Maturing 20mth old built on graceful masculine lines. Lovely head with dark eye, well arched neck and good infill for age. Nice depth to body, well ribbed and good arch to loin. Balanced rear with good second thigh and well let down. Moved with an easy true gait.

I liked this girl’s presence and she moved true with grace with grace despite the size of the ring. Lovely head with good length with dark eye and good earset. Nice reach of neck flowing onto a good topline and rise to underline. Good feet and pasterns and well let down hocks, Shown in good condition. BOB

Pleasing 21mth old girl with nice shaped head and dark expressive eye. Good front and nice infill, strong topline with good croup and tailset. Good rear, with straight parallel hocks. Moved out with enthusiasm.

Really liked this elegant 8mth old girl. Beautiful head conveying strength with a large dark eye. Good reach of neck leading to balanced front, nicely boned to good feet. Nicely tucked up and strong through the body for age. Good length to stifle and nicely balanced. Moved very true and flowing as she settled BOB BP HPG4

Lovely girl strong girl shown in beautiful hard condition. Pleasing head and eye, good arch to neck with good forequarters. Good depth to body with correct length of rib, and strong topline. Balance forequarters with well let down hocks. Moved with an easy gait.

Lovely male who has substance, yet elegant and was presented in superb condition. Long lean head of good proportions, with correct eye and ears. Super arched neck. Nicely boned and good front with pleasing underline, good topline and nice off the croup, leading to super rear quarters with developed second thigh and well let down hocks. Giving a balanced picture that was confirmed with sound true movement, covering the ground effortlessly. Stood away in the groups. BOB BP, HG1, HPG1, BPIS

2nd Searle & Rawlinson’s Majestrian Lavender Haze For Whipsearle (Imp ITA)

Pretty 9mth old who understandably is still developing strengthen all through. Pleasing head with good eye and neat ears. Lovely length of neck and nice front assembly and good depth of chest. Moved out better in the later classes as she settled.

B&T Coonhound.

Promising 7mth old full of breed type and super proportions for age. Correct head with parallel planes, wide nostrils and clean round eyes. Crest to neck, leading to well laid shoulder and stood on super feet. Nice depth to body for age, strong all through. Good length to rear quarters with well let down hocks. Came into her own on the move and pushed hard in the group. Wish her well for the future. BP HPG2

Super young man who made his handler work hard, but showing true character. Good wedge shaped head with oval eyes, well set ears of good length. Nice length of neck with good infill, balanced angulation and strong through the body.

Very smart 15mth old. Mascline head of good shape with long foreface. Good length of neck set on clean well laid shoulders. Strength through the body with pleasing tuck up and topline. Very smart pretty 23 mth old who powered round the ring. Good head and dark almond eye. Pleasing front with good angulation, strong through the body and short loin with level topline with slight rise. BAVNSC

Feminine 7mth old of lovely type and pleasing outline. Nice expression with a long lean head. Nice ratios through her body and balanced angulation with nicely developing rear enabling a super stride. BP

Looking back at my records I previously judged this stylish hound as a 2 year and now at the age of 11 yrs old my previous comments still ring true. Super expression, good reach of neck with balanced front and rear angulation. He conveys strength with a level topline and broad loin. He comes together on the move with a smooth, springy action and is true fore and aft. Delighted to see him awarded BVIS. A credit to his owner.

2nd Clark’s Magida Sabith Al Sahra At Thiefside ShCEx VW (Imp DEU) Sloughi

Beautiful, strong, yet feminine 8 yr old presented in hard condition. Head of good proportions with correct eye. Body of good ratios and holding her topline with good tuck up. Moved true fore and aft.
