Durham County Canine Association 12th July 2026

Judge: Mrs Heather Corkin (Fouranfass)

Many thanks to the secretary and committee for my invitation to judge these pastoral breeds today. Thanks also to my ring stewards for their assistance in the smooth running of the ring. It was a very hot day.

BELGIAN SHEPHERD DOG (GROENENDAEL)

Class 210. Special Yearling (0)

No Entries

Class 211. Limit (1,0)

1st Revloch Shakira at Kelflyn (IKC) (Mrs L & Miss J Ormsby & Donaldson) BOB

3-year-old female shown in very good condition. Lovely square outline with correct angles front and rear. Croup a tad long. Well-proportioned and shaped head with good bite. Lovely neat ears, and melting expression. Moved slightly close away and correct towards with lovely nimble sidegait.

Pleased to see she later made the cut in the group.

Class 212. Open (3,1)

1st Hawksflight Paparazzi at Domburg ** (Miss K & J Bird & Caden) RBOB

8 years old male with slight white shading on chest. Occasionally stood a shade long in body proportions, with a strong topline. Correct angles front and rear. Good head and expression with slightly large ears. Moved correct away and towards and gaited effortlessly around the ring which ensured his win today.

2nd Revloch Kasanova (IKC) JW ShCM VW ShCEx OSW (Mr P, Mrs J & Miss K, Miss J Lawless & Donaldson)

12 years old shown in glowing condition. Lovely square body with matching angles front and rear. Slightly steep in croup. Moved correct away and towards. Would prefer a freer gait.

BELGIAN SHEPHERD DOG (MALINOIS)

Class 213. Post Graduate (1,0)

Walter Rachelchadburn (Miss K & Mr A Parkin & Grimley) BOB

3-year-old male with excellent pigment throughout. Stretched body proportions with exceptionally good musculature. Well angled forehand, but hind angles less so leading to a rising topline. Head could be more typical, with rather large ears. Moved correct away and back and covered the ground with ease around the ring. Lovely temperament.

Class 214. Open (1,1)

BELGIAN SHEPHERD DOG (TERVUEREN)

Class 215. Special Yearling (1,0)

1st Niavana Time Lord (Mrs M Arkley) BOB BPIP

7 months old paler sable male, still with a little puppy coat visible. Tall square dog with lovely outlook. Very good and matching angles on a well-proportioned body. Masculine head with parallel planes and dark well-placed eyes. Scissor bite. Ears seem a shade large at this stage of development. Lovely pigment and beautifully shaped eye giving a pleasing expression. Took a little to settle at first but soon got into a good flowing stride.

I was pleased to see that he was awarded Reserve in the puppy group later in the day.

Class 216. Limit (1,0)

1st Luavjan's Moulin Rouge (Imp Ita) (Miss J Donaldson) RBOB

2-year-old female. A paler sable. Well proportioned and shaped head with sweet expression. A little reserved at first. Lovely square body with good angles front and rear. Upper arm a little steep with very good hindquarters. Moved correct away and just slightly out at elbows towards. Moved out well in sidegait.

Class 217. Open (0)

COLLIE (ROUGH)

Class 218. Post Graduate (1,0)

1st Timeless Destiny Star Actis over Barrenclough JW (Imp Pol) (Dr L W Boyle) RBOB

3-year-old sable female shown in lovely coat and condition, with good pigment. Sweet expression, but eyes were quite small. Proportionate ears, carried rather low. Slightly stretched body proportions with good angles front and rear. Would prefer a tighter bite. Moved well away and a little out at elbows towards, moving out well around the ring.

Class 219. Open (1,0)

1st Barrenclough Heart of Gold JW ShCEx OSW VW (Dr L W Boyle) BOB

Nearly 9-year-old sable male shown in profuse coat, with lovely condition to it. Good body proportions with high wither. Matched angles front and rear, giving a very balanced picture. Balanced head with well-placed eyes and ears giving a typical expression. Would prefer a slightly larger eye and more correct bite. Moved correct away and towards with good sidegait around the ring.

PYRENEAN MOUNTAIN DOG

Class 220. Special Yearling (3,1)

1st Lisjovia Nitty Gritty (Miss L Holmes)

Mature, 11 months old female with profuse shaded coat. Excellent pigment throughout. Correct body proportions with well angulated shoulders and hindquarters. Super bone. Well up to size for age, carrying a little weight today. Moved correct away and towards and had a free sidegait. It was a very hot day, and this affected her animation in movement.

2nd Lisjovia Crowning Glory at Casiann (Mrs A Cave)

Sibling to no1. 11 months old female of good size with beautiful white coat shown in good condition. Tall, with good bone, but appears a little rangy at this stage of development. Good pigment. Good body proportions. Movement was correct away and towards, with animated sidegait around the ring.

Class 221. Post Graduate (2,0)

1st Lisjovia Pardon The Pun (Miss L Holmes) RBOB BPIB

Sibling to both presented in the Special yearling class.

11-month-old male. Substantial, very impressive with an abundance of coat. Excellent pigment with good head and well positioned ears. His eye showed the slightest bit of haw; however, I am sure this will disappear as his head develops with maturity. A few patches of colour were visible in the coat, but not to the skin. High withers and good length of body with matching bone. Very well proportioned for age. Moved out well in the ring and fought hard for BOB.

Delighted to see him awarded 3rd in the puppy group later in the day

2nd Lisjovia Nitty Gritty (Miss L Holmes) (Winner of Special Yearling)

Open 222. Open (1,0)

1st Ch Polar Light Pride of America JW (Imp Usa) (Miss L & Miss S Holmes & Mcbain) BOB

3-year-old female with attractive, profuse white coat. A picture in stance. Lovely feminine head with dark pigment and the sweetest expression. Body of correct proportions, with good ribbing. Moved correct away and slightly out at elbows towards. Showed a lovely flowing sidegait maintaining a firm topline.
