Many thanks to the secretary and committee for my invitation to judge these utility breeds today. Thanks also to my ring steward, Pete Appleby for his assistance in the smooth running of the ring, and especially the exhibitors for their entry, on such a very hot afternoon

Class 57. Lhasa Apso Post Graduate (3,2)

1st Chesterfield, Lynn & Colin, BURNSETT ONYX 

9-month-old black with white female of good size and overall proportions, showing a pleasing outline in stance. Well placed head of good shape with lovely dark eye. Strong neck into well placed shoulders. Moved slightly close away and correct towards, with a good side gait when settled. In the challenge, came into her own showing a super carriage and fluid far reaching movement around the ring to secure her BOB B AVPUPPY Gp3

Class 58. Lhasa Apso Open (3,2)

1st Chesterfield, Lynn & Colin, AINTSHE UNLOCK THE SWAG INTO BURNSETT

18 months old black with white male. Well up to size. Very good well developed head with lovely expression, and beautiful dark eye. Showed a very typical outline and carried himself well. Good ribbing. Moved correct away and towards. Demonstrated a good free sidegait around the ring. Just lost out to the previous class winner in the challenge.

1st Givan, Miss Leah, AFTERGLOW SEEMS LIKE HEAVEN WITH SUDEO 

3 years old black female of correct body proportions. Very feminine head with beautifully shaped well set eye. Lovely chiselling on muzzle. Strong neck into well laid shoulders showing good angulations. Strong back. Well angled hind quarters. Moved correct away and towards with very free easy and far reaching sidegait around the ring. The whole picture was one of balance which gained her BOB and Group 1 today.

1st Simpson Christine, ROMINJAY KING OF MY HEART 

2 years old pale red and white male. Well shaped head with strong muzzle which was proportionate and balanced. Strong ears and well shaped eye. Strong neck into well laid shoulders. Very good overall body proportions, with good bone throughout. Balanced angles front and rear. Three quarter tail was well placed on the back. Moved out correct away and towards with far reaching powerful animated sidegait retaining outline, which ensured his BOB and Gp2 today.

2nd Davies, Mr Peter, CH REDWITCH THIS IS ME AT SHINZAM

6 years old red with black overlay, impressive male of very good type. Excellent pigment and colour throughout. Very pleasing head and eye with well placed ears. Strong neck leading to rather long back. Moved slightly close away, and when coming towards, was flicking left pastern out to the side. Moved out well in sidegait, retaining outline.

1st Krogulec, Mrs Anna, LILY ROSE BAAROSZERO 

11 months old striking red female, well up to size. Strongly pigmented throughout. Very good overall proportions with clean outline. Well placed shoulder with good angles. Hind angles could perhaps be a little more. Coat texture good. Well proportioned head with typical expression, enough wrinkle, and clean dark eyes. Correct scissor bite and well pigmented black tongue. Moved slightly close away and correct towards with good fluent sidegait showing power and maintaining backline. BOB and Gp4

Class 71. AV Utility NSC Open (2,1)

1st Divers, Mr & Mrs Linda & Mr D, Ms J Divers, NERADMIK LET THERE BE ROCK AT MURMANSK (Keeshond)

11 months old male of stretched proportions in full puppy coat. What a fantastic outgoing and friendly temperament. Lovely wedge shaped head, good lively expression and erect ears. Would prefer greater depth in markings and stronger bespectacled look. Very correct angles front and rear. Moved correct away and towards when settled. Needed time to settle on the move around the ring and was a little erratic today in the high heat. I was pleased to see that he began to settle in the later classes.
