WALSALL & DISTRICT KENNEL ASSOCIATION – 8TH August 2026

It was a pleasure to judge Tibetan Terriers today. Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge. I would also like to thank my steward, who was friendly and fantastic at keeping the ring in order. Thank you to those who were able to attend. I thoroughly enjoyed my time today.

PUPPY (3)

1st MRS V MEEGAN, Avaness Make It Happen (9 months)

A beautiful black bitch who immediately caught my eye as she entered the ring. A very typical and feminine example of the breed, presenting with a lovely square and well-balanced outline. Correctly proportioned head with a lovely dark eye and excellent pigmentation throughout. Good front construction, balanced with well-angulated hindquarters, and good muscle for her age. Excellent overall balance and breed type. On the move, she showed good confidence, drive and purpose, with plenty of promise as she continues to mature. A very pleasing young bitch who I look forward to watching develop over the coming years. BP

2nd MR G & MISS H DAVIES & HONEY, Blue Blood Ambassador Way To Rock With Waterley (Imp) Svk (8months)

A lovely white and black dog with good breed type and an overall balanced construction. Slightly narrow at this stage, but well balanced throughout and presenting a pleasing picture. Lovely expression with good pigmentation. Good forequarter construction and well-angulated hindquarters, with a sound and purposeful movement. Still needs a little more maturity and development, but a very promising young dog with plenty to like.

JUNIOR (4)

1st Mrs J M & MR E LAWRENCE, Waterley Soldier Of Love (13 months)

A striking young black dog who immediately caught my eye. Excellent square outline with very good overall balance and breed type. Lovely male head with correct proportions and excellent pigmentation. Moves particularly well, with good reach and drive, showing confidence and purpose. Still quite raw at this stage and needs time to mature and develop but has much potential. A very pleasing young dog with much to admire. 

2nd MRS P GILBERT, Gandaki Sashi Sprout (13 months)

A beautifully constructed sable bitch, presenting a lovely square and well-balanced outline. Feminine head with good proportions and correct pigmentation, complemented by a pleasing expression. Good front construction, with a strong, level topline and well-angulated hindquarters. Overall, she presents a lovely picture with good breed type and balance. A little unsettled on the move today, but she has plenty to like and a very promising future ahead.

POST GRADUATE (3)

1st MR G DAVIES, Waterley Blanche Et Noire (15 months) 

I have had the pleasure of judging this lovely white and black bitch as a puppy, and today she has once again impressed me. A truly feminine girl who immediately demands your attention. She presents a beautiful, well-balanced square outline with excellent breed type and a lovely resolute expression. Well-proportioned head with correct pigmentation and a lovely dark eye. Good depth of chest and a pleasing lay of shoulder. She is maturing beautifully for her age and is very well balanced throughout, with her front and rear angulation complementing each other particularly well. Excellent overall construction and balance, allowing her to cover the ground with lovely free-flowing, effortless movement. A very complete bitch who, for me, ticks all the boxes. A lovely girl who I was delighted to award Best of Breed and see her go on to Reserve Best In Show.

1st MRS V MEEGAN, Avaness Anything Can Happen (5 years old)

A really lovely bitch with excellent breed type and a beautiful square outline. Well balanced throughout, with a lovely head, good pigmentation and a pleasing expression. Very good overall construction, with the front and rear angulation complementing each other beautifully. It was a real pleasure to see her moving so freely and naturally today, covering the ground with an effortless, flowing gait. Particularly lovely to see her shown on a slack lead, allowing her natural movement and balance to be appreciated fully. RBOB

2nd MRS J E JOHNSON, Waterley Rumour Has It At Ellmarven JW (2 years old)

A smart black and white two-year-old bitch of good size, presenting a lovely well-balanced, square outline. Feminine head with a pleasing expression and lovely dark eye, with excellent dark pigmentation throughout. Good spring of rib and depth of chest, although I would prefer a little more lay back of shoulder to complete the front assembly. Good overall balance with sound movement, although not quite as free-flowing or effortless as my first bitch today. A very pleasing young bitch with good breed type and plenty to like.
