Judge: Dean Cordwell

A huge level of gratuity to the society for inviting me to Judge. Smooth running and well facilitated on all levels by the committee. The ring stewards faultless and efficient. What a fantastic setting for a show, allowing great size rings. As the day grew on, it became rather warm and this affected some exhibitors more than others.

Class 33 Post Graduate (0/0)

Class 34 Limit (2/1)

1st Cahppes Tailwind Takala at Valknut, Bogle, Miss Ailsa & Mr R Horsfield

5-year-old Seal female stood alone. Head proportions ok, pleasing eye and ear set. Good length of neck. Moderate angulation. Level Topline. Good spring of rib. Moved well once settled. Sound on the out and back. Preferred the stifle and muscle of the open winner in the challenge. RBOB

Class 35 Open (4/3)

1st Whitewalker Kings Landing at Valknut, Bogle, Miss Ailsa & Mr R Horsfield

Grey and WHITE Male. A Veteran who does not show his age at all. Has quite a masculine presence when in the ring. Typical Male head, but no too coarse and overdone. Good length and arch of neck. Well laid shoulders with balanced angulation fore and aft. Good depth of chest and proportions throughout, notably height to length ratio. Faultless topline on the move, true on the out and back. Excellent muscle tone for time of year. BOB

Australian Shepherd

Class 37 Puppy (3/1)

1st Liskarn Pharoah’s Favourite, Heggie, Mrs Jane & Miss T Douglas

An 8-month-old Male. Pleasing head proportions, with a good stop developing. Clean Neck, excellent front with balance throughout structure. Chest has good room for development. This young male really set himself apart on the move with no effort needed. A bright future perhaps. BP

2nd Jopium Red Mist. Lister, Mr and Mrs, Cameron Colette & Cameron Colette Lister

Another 8-month-old puppy, red tricolour female. A good head of type. Front assembly of promising nature. Good length of body to height ratio. A touch hight in the rear at present but should settle down with maturity. A very nice mover once settled, held topline nicely but preferred that of first.

Class 38 Graduate (1/1)

Class 39 Post Graduate (0/0)

Class 40 Open (5/1)

1st Lamintone for The Drive at Applecreek RL2 EX, Simpson, Miss Jessica

On the day this male tricolour just commanded the ring with his movement. Very well handled indeed. An example of good bone and substance but not too coarse. Head of good type and proportions and setting of features. Balanced fore and aft with ample angulation for reach and drive. Good depth of chest and spring to the ribs. Straight through profile and effortless on the move. BOB

2nd Winstead a Brave New World IR JUN CH (IMP Rumania), Heggie, Miss Jane

Another quality Male of excellent clean lines. A super head and sweet expression. Good proportions showing balance and strength across all angles. Moderate Bone. Body to height ratio shows in his movement and ability to control his topline at all times. Could have swapped place with 1st on any other day but just preferred the foot placement and gait of 1st. RBOB

German Shepherd Dog

Class 41 Junior (1/1)

Class 42 Post graduate (1/0)

1st Milesmeadows Heidi, Nicoll, Mrs Catherine

A 19month old female, lovely head and expression. Good length of skull with an eye and ear set to suit. A good assembly and proportions overall with promising space for maturity. I liked the energy of this girl and when it was applied on the move, her reach and drive was desirable. A bit unsettled on the day initially but did improve in the challenge.

Class 43 Open (3/1)

1st Kenleap Marble Swirl at Celtacastus, Nicoll, Mrs Catherine

A 20-month-old female, a good-sized head well-proportioned but still showing femininity. Good neck with a nicely angulated fore and aft. Chest depth ok. Won the class on movement with balanced reach and drive whilst holding her topline on the move. True on the out and back. BOB

2nd Droyales forever Proper at Echosands, Gibson, A

This well presented 18month old male was a little unsettled today. A pleasing head, masculine but not overdone, moderate angulation throughout and balanced. Plenty of room for him to mature into himself and come together, moved well and held is topline once settled
