Beagles

A pleasure to judge a quality entry of this wonderful breed at this vibrant and well organised show.

Puppy (5)

1 Beard’s Kellitcreed Mrs Doubtfire

Super young male of 10 months. Full of quality and maturing well. Well shaped head and typical expression. Strong neck leading to well placed shoulders. Well boned without being overdone. He has good ribs with enough width and depth. Firm over his couplings. He has strong quarters and was shown in good muscular condition. Moved so straight and true. Should go on to do well. Best Puppy.

2 Leader’s Davricard Artemis

Another full of promise but at 6 months is giving so much away. Feminine in head with well-placed ears and good eye shape. Well laid shoulders. She has a firm level top line abnd good rear angulation. She too moved out well for her age. Very promising. I wish her luck.

3 Bridgeman and Logue’s Kingswin Gifted

Junior (2)

1 Hardisty’s Blunderhall Jackson

What a super young male. No surprise to see that he carries his JW title. Striking in outline and does not disappoint on closer inspection. Well-proportioned head with good ear placement. He is well boned without excess. Well ribbed through with firm top line. He has strong quarters with good angulation and plenty of muscle. Hocks are well let down. He moved with reach and drive, carrying his tail correctly. Best of Breed in this competitive entry. He looked and performed well in the group.

2 Rushworth’s Campionfield Scrumptious

This 12 month tri girl has plenty to admire. She is feminine in head with good length to her foreface. Long, well placed ears give the desired appealing expression. She is straight in front and has short couplings. Good width to her quarters. She moved freely. Just lacked the finish to compete with the older male.

Post Grad (3, 1abs)

1 Dawson and Goodall’s Rundle Gambler

Another good one! Still only a junior and so much to commend him. Well proportioned in head with good eye shape and colour. Strong neck of correct length leads to well constructed shoulders. Well ribbed for his age, He has a straight, firm top line and good rear angulation. He moved well away from me showing plenty of drive. In profile, held his topline well and carried his tail correctly. Reserve best of Breed.

2 Bridgeman and Logue’s Kingswin Celeste

Another promising puppy. 11 months sweet tri girl with lovely expression from her well shaped head and correctly shaped dark eyes. She is balanced through with good angulation front and rear. Her hocks are well let down. On the move, she showed plenty of reach in profile.

Open (2)

1 Coates’ Gladstyle Stone Mason

This 2 year old tri has a pleasing head with kind expression and well placed ears. He is straight in front and has a well proportioned body with good length to his ribs and a firm, level top line. Well angulated quarters with good width to his thighs. He moved freely and lightly covering the ring well.

2 Webster’s Rossut Vizier for Houndscoast.

Heavier built 3 year old with dark eyes and low set ears. He is well boned through with good layback of shoulder and well turned stifles. Preferred the refinement of the winner here.
