Vulnerable Native Breeds Open Show

Saturday 15th August 2026 – Judge Mr David Bell

A most enjoyable show and a unique combination of breeds, well supported with a great atmosphere. This hard working committee has certainly put on a show that would make returning an easy option, well done.

Parson Russell Terriers

Puppy (3,1)

1. Baker Pacolito Veni Vedi Veci Well boned puppy, good size and well off for bone. Pleasing head with good length to muzzle, dark eye. True in front, ample fill and straight legs of good length. Good length to neck, firm topline, easily spanned. Moved true with an easy good length to stride. RBOB

2. Woods And Boorman Vixenview Blizzard Just 6 months Good length to leg with wide hindquarters. Will need to develop in chest but has a balanced outline and moves true going and coming.

Special Yearling (2,0)

1. Baker Pacolito Notorious Loved her head, good balance to muzzle and skull, flat between the ears which were well carried. Lovely dark eye well set. Chest deep to elbow, good width to hindquarters with enough turn to stifle. She is true on the move with good length to stride BOB & BP

2. Woods and Boorman Wayward Got You would prefer to see a little more strength in jaw. Has a firm topline, just dropping away a little over the croup. True on the move and has a harsh coat

Limit (4,1)

1. Bigland Heythrop Tempura Loved the head on this boy, good width and strength to muzzle, flat in skull, ears correctly placed and dark rather small eyes which gave a super expression. Chest deep, spannable, strongly muscled arched loin and wide in hindquarters. Moved true. He was a little flat in feet .

2. Smith Digaden Top Notch Has a deep chest with good return of upper arm. Her expression was spoiled a little with a rather larger round eye.

3. Woods and Boorman Wayward Talia

Open Dog (2,1)

1. Bigland Heythrop Toptag Overall well proportioned dog, with good front angulation. I found him a little over muscled in rear and would have preferred a little more width and strength to head. True on the move, good tail set and carriage, well let down at the hocks.

Open Bitch (3,0)

1. Bigland Heythrop Taranna She has free movement with good extension, which won her this class. Dark eye, flat skull and well placed ears. Chest deep and well ribbed back, strong in loin, wide across the quarters.

2. Jacob Gontoground Pallas Athena Slightly lighter in build than winner and lacked extension on the move. Has good balance to head, feminine with a dark well shaped eye. Good muscle definition in hindquarters.

3. Woods and Boorman Wayward Ge Ge
