English Setter

P (1): 1 BP Wynne-Evans’ Droveborough One Love, tricolour bitch of 10 months, standing in the rain, bless her, with nothing to hide with her wet coat showing her clean outline. Clean neck, strong bone, lovely to go over her front – elbows snug to the chest wall, strong topline, good ribbing, correct bend of stifle, & happy mover - easy & free. Lovely well made pup.

PG (5,1 a): Litter siblings 1 BOB Kerr’s Latjeata Angel Blue, blue belton bitch, elegant & feminine in appearance & really nice to go over, pretty head with good depth of flew, good bone for size, taut across the loin, good rear angulation, rear pasterns vertical to the ground, held her topline on the move; 2 Beasley’s Latjeata Jack’s The Lad JW, upstanding blue belton dog of 19 months, stately in appearance, presents a nice outline with a clean topline, good rear angles. Needs time to drop down into himself & fill out through the front. Well presented; 3 Wynne’-Evans’ Droveborough Blue Pearl.

O (3,2a): 1 RBOB Latjeata Cup Of Kindness JW, orange belton litter sister to 1 & 2 in PG.I thought she was a lovely quality. Feminine, pretty head with good depth of flew, nice to go over, correct topline, good rear angulation, rear pasterns vertical to the ground. She took a while to settle, thought the whole thing was a game but when she got going, she really showed how lovely she can move. I liked her a lot.

Retriever (Flat Coated)

P (1): 1 BP Woodhams’ Flatcharm Mr Potato Head, black dog of nearly 9 months, lovely strong boy, good bone for size, brisket down to elbow, strong through the topline, correct turn of stifle, moved well. Just needs to tighten through the front pasterns which will come with age.

J (2): 1 Young’s Gemswin Just Like Heaven at Larksburn, stood out, so very well balanced, lovely bone, pretty head with intelligent expression, stands on tight round feet, in super condition – taut across the loin & well muscled second thigh, moved out well. Quality exhibit; 2 Sutton’s Riotousrose Jennifer, black bitch of 16 months, stands well in outline, correct rear angulation. Would prefer a better return of upperarm & a little more sparkle on the move.

PG (2): 1 BOB, G1 & RBIS Bell’s Curlycrest’s Sweet Home Chicago (Imp Nor) JW just 2 years, lovely quality boy, appeals both standing & moving, lovely to go over, stands on beautiful tight round feet, well made through the front quarters, strong topline, muscled through the body & hindquarters with moderate turn of sitfle, moved the best in the challenge, moving straight & true. Delighted he won the Group & RBIS; 2 Smith’s Esined Double Delight, black bitch of 4 years, good bone for size, strong over the topline, in good body condition, taut through the loin, moved okay with a different handler but not the pizazz of 1 – think she was done with the rain!

O (1): 1 RBOB Woodhams’ Kulawand Casanova, black dog of 3 years, appeals in outline, clean neck into shoulders, holds his topline well, strong through the loin, good bend of stifle, muscled quarters. Not as precise in rear pasterns on the move.
