1st Vallance’s Rowanmyle of Prudent Lore - A 17 month old beautiful blue belton bitch who sadly was lacking her finest clothes today but this did not distract from her super construction, sound movement and showed off her balanced outline. Long, lean head with oval skull, defined stop, head planes equal. Well developed muzzle with clean lips. Expressive eyes, dark brown and well set in her pretty face. Ears low set. Reachy neck with good arch flowing elegantly into well laid shoulders. Good depth of chest for age, forelegs straight with quality, rounded bone. Ribs carried well back, strong, short loin. Muscular hindquarters with good width to thighs, well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. Correct tailset and carriage with typical slashing movement. Powered around the ring displaying free, effortless reach and drive. Tidy coming and going. Couldn’t be denied BOB in today’s entry.
2nd Taylor’s Kanietter Kocoa - 5 year old tricolour male. Handsome head, masculine but not coarse, skull oval with plenty of brain room, well pronounced occiput, stop well defined, muzzle strong with well developed flews. Dark eye giving intelligent expression. Ears of correct shape and set. Good amount of neck into well placed shoulders. Good depth to chest, straight forelegs with strong bone, well padded feet. Correct length to body, deep ribs with good amount of spring. Hindquarters matching angles of his forequarters. Silky, wavy coat of good texture. Moved steadily.

2nd Cormack’s Polmennor Silver Ball - 17 month old male who just didn’t quite have the maturity of 1st. Handsome head of good proportions, oval skull of good width and depth with plenty of brain room. Strong muzzle of good length, clean flews. Kind eye and expression. Good ear set. Would like a little more neck, moderate lay of shoulder, chest of good depth. Good body proportions, well ribbed back with strong loin, nice topline, just needs to mature and body up a little. Hindquarters well developed with angles matching that of his fore. Moved ok.

1st Walker’s Sunlea Beryl The Peril - Black pug bitch of good size and enough substance. Proportionate round head, with short, blunt muzzle, well pigmented black nose with wide open nostrils. Large, dark round eyes, clear and expressive. Neat ears. A nice reach of neck fitting into well laid shoulders. Forelegs are straight and well boned. She is a shade longer than I would like, but her body is fit and in good muscular condition. Ribs well sprung. Hindquarters are muscular and her angles match that of her forequarters. Moved well.
2nd Cowie’s Roxmarr Whole Loatta Rosie for Megipugi - A nice 4 year old fawn bitch who was more cobby than 1st but just carrying too much weight today. She is feminine with a round head, short, square muzzle with lovely wrinkling and detail to her forehead. Clear, dark, round eyes well set in her pretty face, good pigment and correct earset. Enough neck into a sound front, good depth to chest. Well sprung ribs carried well back with a short loin. Hindquarters of correct angulation. High set, double curled tail. Moved soundly.

1st Cairns’ Anzhela Scent Francis JW - Handsome young man of 2 years old, topped this class with his balanced outline and movement. He is of good size for a male and has nice substance for his size. His head is round with a short, square muzzle, well pigmented with clearly defined wrinkle, not overdone in any way. Large, dark, round eyes so full of expression, neat little ears of correct set, shape and size. A good neck with slight arch fitting smoothly into a sound front assembly, shoulders well laid, straight forelegs with quality bone and neat feet. Cobby, compact body in fit muscular condition, ribs well sprung and carried well back to a short, strong loin. Hindquarters well muscled with good bend to stifles and low set parallel hocks. Beautiful round head with fine wrinkles and good work in her forehead adding to her pleasant expression, her muzzle is short and square with good width to underjaw, nose black and with wide open nostrils. Large, dark, lustrous eyes, round in shape and well set, neat ears. A good amount of neck, well crested and fitting seamlessly into a sound front. Good depth of chest, well boned forelegs, neat feet. Cobby, compact body, well sprung ribs carried well back, short, strong loin, level topline kept at all times. Her hindquarters are well muscled with correct angulation. High set tail with good curl over her hip. Moved soundly with typical action.

Black nose with wide open nostrils. Dark, sparkling eyes, round and fitting well in his face, neat little ears set high on his skull. Neck of correct length into good front assembly, forelegs straight with small, compact feet. Square, sturdy body with well sprung ribs carried well back, strong, short loin with slight tuck up. Long head, narrow and flat, typical wedge shape, strong muzzle of good length and strength, strong jaws, black lips fitting cleanly. Dark, almond shaped eyes, obliquely set of correct size. High set, candle-flame shaped ears, fine leathers and of good size. Elegant neck with slight arch flowing gracefully into correct shoulder placement. Forelegs straight and of quality fine bone, enough chest, elbows held close to body. Compact body with ribs carried well back, strong, muscular loin with correct amount of tuckup. Muscular hindquarters with good width to first and second thighs, well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. Moved so soundly covering a lot of ground and illustrating an extended trot so typical of this breed.
2nd - Barbi’s Cilleine Last Wicket for Sparlero (Griffon) - Delightful youngster of just 11 months. Red rough male, well sized and of good substance for age. Cobby and square in outline and just shows his devotion to his young handler, and it’s obvious that the feeling is mutual! Large, round, handsome head with monkey-like expression, well defined stop, muzzle short, well turned up chin and with good width to underjaw. Nose well pigmented with wide open nostrils. Large, dark round eyes so expressive, black eye rims and well set apart. Neat, high-set ears carried semi-erect which he used well. Moderate amount of neck, slightly arched and fitting soundly into well laid shoulders, good depth of chest for age, forelegs straight and well boned. Compact, cobby body with level topline, ribs well sprung and carried well back. Sound hindquarters with angles matching that of fore. Moved well from all angles. Delighted to see him also go BPIS.
3rd - Moss’ Quissmar Lightning Chaser for Mamose (Bichon) - Another smashing young male who is of good type, shape and size and his ice-white coat is presented to perfection. Super head with masculine yet sweet expression. His skull is slightly round, moderate stop and muzzle of good length with good width to underjaw. Lovely pigment with black nose, eyerims and lips. Large, dark, round eyes, forward facing and so full of expression surrounded by lovely dark haloes. Neck of good length, slightly arched carrying his head proudly. Sound front assembly with well laid shoulders, straight forelegs of quality bone, good feet with black pads. Still to develop in chest as expected at this age, body is of correct length, ribs well sprung and carried back to a short, strong loin. Broad, well muscled thighs, well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. Tailset correct and tail well plumed over his back. Moved beautifully in profile, just ever so slightly close behind at the moment. A very promising puppy.

4th - Corbett’s Starceylon Empress by Mandistarz (Chihuahua Smooth) - Sassy little girl who put on an excellent performance in this strong puppy group. So well schooled for one so young. Feminine with apple domed skull, defined stop, short, pointed muzzle of correct length. Large, round eyes of good set, colour harmonising with coat colour. Ears large and flaring which she used well. A good reach of neck fits into a sound front assembly. Body not too long, ribs well sprung, short loin and a level topline which she kept at all times. Hindquarters strong and well angulated. Sickle tail. Moved with brisk, purposeful strides.

He has a slightly rounded skull, fine, pointed muzzle with defined stop. Eyes are well sized, round well placed in his handsome face. Lovely, large ears with excellent fringing. A correct amount of neck fits seamlessly into well laid shoulders, forelegs are straight and slender with fine bone, hare-like feet. Good depth of chest, body in super condition, well sprung ribs carried well back to a short, strong loin. Hindquarters well developed with good bend to stifles and low set parallel hocks. Handsome head with broad skull, muzzle is strong and of good length with good width to underjaw, stop well defined, well pigmented nose and eyerims. Expressive, large round eyes well set. Well fringed pendant ears. Nice reach of neck into a sound front. Good depth of chest, forelegs straight and of quality bone. In good body condition, well sprung ribs carried well back to a taut, short loin. Hindquarters are muscular with a well rounded bum and good angulation. Moved well.

Good reach of neck, well crested and flowing seamlessly into well laid shoulders, good depth of chest, forelegs straight and of quality bone. Ears large and erect. Enough neck into a tidy front, forelegs straight and slender with moderate bone. Chest well developed, muscular body, well ribbed back with strong loin. Level topline kept at all times. Well rounded rear with angles matching that of her fore. Supple skin in good condition. Moved well with elegance.

2nd Topham & Maltas Chalksvilles Running Eagle at Virlees - 10 month old eyecatching bitch who sadly was not playing ball today and would not let me go over her. On first glance she is so well balanced and has good breed type. Balanced outline and of good size and shape. She has a feminine head of good proportions, strong muzzle. Eyes dark and of good set, shape and size. Ears well placed. She has a good reach of neck. Still to develop in chest and body as expected at this age but has plenty of time to mature in body and mind. Sound hindquarters. Moved typically. With more confidence this girl could be an exciting prospect.

Head feminine, proportionate and strong, well filled below eyes, muzzle of good length, well pigmented nose and eye rims. Strong neck of correct length into a sound front assembly. Chest deep and forelegs straight and strong with quality bone. Well ribbed back with good spring, muscular loin and a level topline. Hindquarters sound and muscular. Moved steadily.

Tapering muzzle of good length, well pigmented nose, lips and eye rims. Almond shaped eyes of good size and set giving intelligent, kind expression. Erect ears, well furred. Strong, proudly arched neck flowing smoothly into well laid shoulders, forelegs straight and of good length with quality bone. Good depth of chest, well sprung ribs carried well back, level topline kept at all times, strong, short loin. Hindquarters well muscled with well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. Good width to flat skull, good stop, muzzle strong and well tapered. Round eyes, well set in her pretty face. Pricked, slightly rounded ears. Good reach of neck into a sound front assembly. Forelegs short and straight with good bone. Nice length to body, well ribbed back, enough depth to chest, ribs well sprung, short loin. Hindquarters strong and sound with good angulation. Moved well.

1st Roper’s Twinan Raise Your Game JW - Lovely 2 year old bitch. Typy outline, well balanced, of good size and full of substance. Feminine head and expression, good width to a flat skull, foxy, correct amount of stop, slightly tapered muzzle of good length and strength. Eyes round, of good size and harmonising with coat colour. Ears pricked and slightly rounded which she used well. Nice reach of neck flowing into well laid shoulders, forelegs short and straight with quality bone. Sturdy body of good length, well sprung ribs carried well back to a muscular loin. Very good depth to chest, well let down. Hindquarters muscular with well bent stifles and low set hocks. Tail of correct set and carriage. Moved soundly with free, active motion.
2nd Evans’ Hortonpoint Blue Lagoon - 2 year old male, not quite the chest or front of 1st. Handsome head of good proportions, broad, flat skull, defined stop and a strong muzzle of good length. Round, expressive dark brown eyes. Ears of good set, shape and size. Well boned forequarters, short and strong. Nice length to body coming from ribs, muscular loin. Strong hindquarters. Moved well.

1st Arlo Barbi - Smart young handler showing his Griffon Bruxellois. This young man has such a fantastic rapport with his dog, encouraging his charge quietly and confidently. Freestanding his dog to perfection. Polite handler who had tidy tablework and executed patterns well. Tidy corners and shadowing. Aware of where I was at all times, making sure not to get in between the dog and judge. Should have a bright future as a handler in front of him.
2nd Jasper Chorlton - Another confident, calm and collected handler who handled his Shetland Sheepdog to the best of his ability. Aware of where I was at all times, didn’t break the golden rule. Good tablework and tidy lead control. Carried out patterns well with sharp corners. Freestood and presented his charge well, encouraging it at all times.

1st Amelia Patterson - A quiet, calm and sympathetic handler who topped this strong class of handlers. Handling a Pekingese so breed specifically. Presented face on, tidy table work, answered all questions and made sure not to get in between dog and judge. Moved her charge at correct speed to show of typical rolling gait and encouraged her dog quietly and patiently when he showed a little tiredness after a long day. Tidy lead control and shadowing.
2nd Lucy Mallinson - Polished handler who pushed Amelia hard in this class. Presented and handled her Whippet to perfection. Tidy shadowing, patterns and table work. Moved charge at correct speed, tidy corners and straight lines. Another quality handler.

1st Abigail Marshall - Competent handler who handled her PBGV calmly, encouraging her charge at all times. Showed teeth correctly, tidy table work, moved her dog at the correct speed with tidy straight lines and tight corners.

1st Zoe Davis - Confident handler who showed off her Labrador to the best of her ability. Made sure I had a good view of her dog at all times, freestood her charge as typical for her breed and shadowed well. Showed teeth well. Moved her dog at a suitable speed, tidy lead control, tidy corners and straight lines. Made sure not to get in between the dog and the judge.
2nd Jennifer Bartlett - Another good handler, presenting her Basset Bleu de Gascogne very well. Stacked her dog foot perfectly and shadowed well, making sure not to get in between me and her dog. Tidy tablework, moved dog at correct speed and executed patterns well. Lead could be a little tidier.

1st Caroline Gammon - Calm, composed and competent handler who handled her Hungarian Vizsla sympathetically, at one with her charge. Tidy shadowing and lead control. Presented and stacked her dog foot perfect, efficiently and without fussiness. Showed teeth well and replaced back leg when moved. Executed triangle and up and down well with tidy, straight lines and sharp corners.
2nd Mandy Corbett - Quiet, gentle handler who showed off her Smooth Coat Chihuahua so well. Unobtrusive and freestood her dog, gently encouraging her to stand fore square. Spoke to her dog at all times to keep her attention and use her ears and tail. Tidy tablework, showed bite gently. Moved her dog at correct pace and following the golden rule of not coming between dog and judge
