Kington Horse Show And Agricultural Society

Many thanks to the officers and committee of Kington Agricultural Show for inviting me to judge, and to my steward for his assistance.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Special Yearling

1st. Jones, Mrs S — Itsa Pansy with Droleus. A very raw seven-month-old tricolour bitch. Lovely head with correctly set ears, a well-defined stop, correct scissor bite and dark eyes giving a typical soft expression. Ample reach of neck, well-laid shoulders and a good top-line, which she held on the move. Soft, silky coat, well feathered for her age, with well broken markings. Still very much a baby, but everything in the right place. A promising puppy. BPIB.

2nd. Hopkins, Mrs T J W — Droleus That’s M’Ceiniog Aur at Gwawr. Another lovely bitch, a ten-month-old tricolour. Nice head with well-set ears, lovely dark eyes, the desired stop and a very sweet, soft expression. Bite undershot at present. Good reach of neck, well-laid shoulders and a level top-line. Soft, well-feathered coat, with markings not quite as well broken up as those of the winner. Nicely angulated at both ends and moved well around the ring.

Stood alone in this class, but nevertheless a pretty bitch with a correct stop, dark eyes and well-feathered ears. Ample reach of neck, straight front, level top-line and good angulation. Soft, plush coat with good feathering. Moved with drive around the ring. BOB.
