Cocker Spaniel

Puppy (1)

1st Bacon - Timbric Calamity Jane. Attractive 7 month l/roan bitch, she is so feminine with a well shaped headband bright expression from a correct eye which matches the coat colouration. Lovely reach of neck and so well made for one so young with a pleasing balanced angulation and firm muscling. She was a bit enthusiastic and playful on the move but I saw a good profile action. BP

Yearling (1)

1st Walton - Chataway Let’s Jive JW. Bold, masculine black dog with size and bone to match. He has a good length to his muzzle with a firm stop and bright dark eye. His neck is of good length leading to a strong topline with plenty of rib underneath. Put down in gleaming coat he settled to move out with a good stride.

Limit (3, 1abs)

1st Fairhurst - Valefell Frosty Starlight. Smaller, lighter framed b/roan who still needs to mature on but has everything in the right place. She has a kind expression, feminine head which is so well balanced with lovely dark eyes. She has a good layback to her shoulder with enough rib and firm rear. On the move she was clean and tidy, just needs coat to finish the picture.

2nd Crawford - Totenkopf Dutch Double Deuce into Binibeca Black bitch who was carrying weight today which made her roll on the move. She has a square muzzle, bright dark eye and lowset ear. Put down in excellent, shiny coat

Open (2)

1st Walton - Annaside Let’s Dance. Smart black dog with a lovely balanced outline. His head is masculine but with a gentle expression and cheeky dark eye. He flows smoothly into a lovely layback of shoulder with forechest and depth of rib. Correct in length with a firm coupling and broad rear which he put to good use driving around the ring with a true merry action BOB

2nd Bacon - Timbric Doris Day JW Another quality cocker, so well made she has a pretty head with good length to her muzzle, the correct amount of stop and nicely rounded skull. She has a compact body with a strong topline and good angles throughout. Finished off with lovely muscle she just wasn’t as steady on the move as my winner.

Weimaraner

Yearling (1)

1st Murray - Silberliss Secret Oktober Well grown 23 month youngster with a lovely personality. He has a balanced head with width between the ears, just a little round in eye but good length to his muzzle. He has depth to his body with clean legs and feet, still a little raw throughout but once he settled he showed a lovely profile action with plenty of reach. BOB

Italian Spinoni

Puppy (2)

1st Whittingham & Wright - Riccini Carmen w/o 6 month bitch with such a sweet temperament when I caught sight of her I just smiled. Lean in skull with a pronounced occiput, well shaped eyes with a beautiful almost human expression and soft ear. Compact with enough depth for her age, she has a lovely lay of shoulder and correct outline leading to a well made rear, on the move she covered the ground so well with an easy steady stride I could not look passed her BP & BOB

2nd McGrory - Javal Same Old Scene w/o 10 months bitch at the rangy stage today. She has a lean head with a feminine expression and apparent occiput. Firm through the neck with balanced angles and a correct topline. On the move she showed drive, just a little loose at the moment.

Limit (2)

1st Hutt - Karankawa Kashira Honest, workmanlike bitch with a gentle, grave expression and correct divergent head planes. Well set shoulders with plenty of body underneath and a correct overall length. She has width to her rump with a good croup and tailset. Steady and even on the move.

2nd McGrory - Javal Same Old Scene (repeat)

Open (2)

1st Whittingham, Wright & Bexon - SHCH Rubino Spinone Del Mucrone with Riccini (imp ITA) Presents and impressive outline, so well balanced and square. His head is masculine but still has the grave, gentle expression, lovely divergent planes and clearly pronounced occiput. Powerful through the neck and shoulder with a true topline, harsh coat and well developed rear. On the move he covered the ground but wasn’t concentrating so tended to bounce which lost him top honours

2nd Whittingham, Wright & Bexon - Diggmere Cortona Sofia Del Riccini. Mature bitch with a feminine, typical head and bright intelligent eye. She is nicely made throughout, honest and sturdy showing the required outline with lovely oval bone and feet. Steady and tidy on the move but just could not match the charisma of my winner today.
