Breed: 2 breeds CC and IG

Thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge their open show and for the excellent hospitality. The catering was excellent. Also thanks to my capable stewards and to the exhibitors for their entries and sportsmanship.

Chinese Cresteds.

Puppy (2) 1st, BPIB and BOB, Bowers Riveralca Lewis, smart looking youngster full of confidence and attitude, liked his overall balance and outline, handsome head with clean cheeks and soft eye, used his well placed ears attentively, good length of neck which he carried high on the move, chest developing well for age with close elbows, nicely rounded rump and correct tailset, which was carried high when moving. Soft clean skin. In the challenge for BOB, his showy personality took him to BOB as well as BPIB, an exciting pup with a good future ahead. Heard after shortlisted in group. 2nd, Symons Riveralca Barra, litter brother to 1st but in powerpuff version. Another smart puppy but not as together in body and movement as his brother today. Super cute head and expression, dark eyes and clean cheeks, also using ears well. Holds pleasing outline on the move. His puppy coat was nicely presented. His young handler did an excellent job with him and I’m sure they both have a bright future.

Junior (1) repeat of puppy, R Lewis.

Post Grad (2). 1st Bowers Riveralca Morar JW, feminine girl who is well balanced all through. Pretty head of good proportions, clean cheeks and tight lips, soft dark eyes, Her plume is long, flowing and eye catching. She has tight elbows and good chest, with good rear angles. She moves gracefully holding a level back and high tail carriage. Smooth, soft skin in good condition. In the challenge, not as positive as her younger brother on the move due to change of handler. 2nd Wards Oozoo blu min wild, powderpuff girl, who has a pleasing outline, feminine head with correct eye and ear placement but a little short in muzzle for me, but has clean cheeks and tight lips. Has good length of neck but preferred front assembly of 1st as she lacks chest and elbows bit loose, has well rounded rump and holds level back. Moved out ok but not as positive as 1st.

Open (4). 1st Parkers Ynchreenoo jinny the witch among Khatira, really liked this girl as she is full of breed type but today didn’t have the showmanship of the puppy, as dropped her ears and tail a tad on the move. Pleasing head of good proportions, clean cheeks and tight lips, soft expressive eyes and gorgeous plume. She has slender legs set under body with tight elbows and deep chest, well muscled rear with good angulation, excellent skin. A picture of elegance and a star in the making. 2nd Olivers Ynchreenoo Masterpiece at Sarelidan, This chap was outgoing and showy but was let down by condition of his skin. He has dark eyes and used his ears well, but I would prefer a tad more muzzle length. Clean neck carried high, Has good body proportions and holds level topline when moving, Well rounded and muscled rear and used his hocks well. 3rd Bowers Bryelis Im on my way to Riveralca.

Italian Greyhounds.

Puppy abs.

Junior. (2, 1a). 1st, BOB, Mellis Lamoye magnificent matteo, A rather tall chap who impressed with his free movement and showmanship on the day. Handsome head, with expressive dark eyes and dark nose, Good length of neck leading to sloping shoulders, good ribs and slight arch over loin. Shown in muscular condition and excellent fine coat.

Post grad. (2, 1a) 1st Chau's Amore dreaming in Firenze at Sfizimio Imp USA, very pretty feminine girl who has a pleasing outline, loved her head and expression, correct body proportions, legs straight and set under body, well angulated rear and arch over loin, a picture of grace and elegance but seemed a bit overwhelmed by the occasion and although moved precisely didn’t quite have confidence of junior boy which was a shame. Coat was short and gleaming.

Open (2) 1st Mellis Petoski first edition for Lamoye, also a large chap who is starting to show his age round his muzzle. Won here on confidence and showy movement, nice fine head, dark nose, good through front and rear with strong pasterns and hare feet, moved freely. In good muscular condition. 2nd Bradleys Rilloby line of duty at Emmzar, pretty and elegant girl, appeared overwhelmed by the noise in the venue and so not as confident as winner, lovely expressive eyes and well placed ears, graceful through body with fine legs, well angulated rear and gentle arch over loin, shown in great bloom. Moved correctly holding nice outline.
