Welsh Corgi (Cardigan) Special Award Classes

Special Award Junior D/B (4,1abs)

1st) Finch & Craske’s Ancksunamun Fa Mulan - Full of confidence with a real look at me attitude, feminine foxy head of good proportions, excellent ears of good size which she used to advantage. Medium eye with excellent expression. Muscular neck of good length, leading onto well laid shoulders, enough bone with tight round feet. Deep brisket and well sprung rib, level topline and well set tail in excellent body. Strong hindquarters which are well angulated. Moved soundly.

2nd) Fricker’s Twinan Truly Scrumptious - At this moment she is quite raw but only just into junior and presents a pleasing outline. Super feminine head which is foxy with moderate stop. Ears of good shape and size and well set apart. Clean neck of good length. Well laid shoulders but not quite the bone or feet of 1st. Well sprung rib and good length of loin, needs to body up at this time. Well made hindquarters. Moved soundly when settled.

3rd) Field’s Under Moonlight Ferry Stile for Caiedw

Special Award Graduate D/B (3,0abs)

1st) Young’s Gowerston Genesis - Totally feminine throughout with the most pleasing outline. Feminine head, good length to muzzle and moderate stop. Medium eye, excellent ear of correct shape and set. Her front could be slightly better but she has tight round feet. Good length of neck which is in proportion with her build, well laid shoulder. Good length to her body with well sprung rib and deep brisket. Muscular well angulated hindquarters. Moved soundly with no exaggeration.

2nd) Anderson & Thomas’s Tamlin Hill Billy Rock (A.I) - all male who made his handler really work today. Strong head, medium eye and ear of good size and correct shape. Muscular neck, fitting into well laid shoulders. Ample bone and standing on tight, round feet. Deep brisket and well sprung rib with good length of loin, well bodied and muscular throughout. Well angulated hindquarters. He moved soundly although I feel he could have more reach if possibly moved at a slightly faster pace.

3rd) Anderson & Thomas’s Tamlin Boot Scoot Boogie (A.I)

Special Award Open D/B (3,0abs)

1st) Fitzpatrick-Graham’s Ch Ancksunamun Hallows Eve JW - Feminine head of good shape and proportions, medium eye which is set well. The best of ears which she used to advantage. Clean neck leading onto well laid shoulder with enough bone and round feet. Prominent chest bone, deep brisket and well sprung rib. Well bodied and in excellent condition. Well angulated rear quarters with good muscle. Moved soundly with plenty of reach. Handled to advantage.

2nd) Froggatt’s Wildcard Queen of Clubs for Gerefa - Smaller bitch than 1 but not too small. I particularly liked her head which is well made, good proportions with a moderate stop. Medium dark eye which is well set. To be critical her ears could be slightly larger but she didn’t use them to her advantage today. Good length of neck, well laid shoulders and a well made front with enough bone. Well sprung rib, good length of body and in good condition. Well made rear quarters, moved soundly.

3rd) Field’s Cruglwyd Cristyne
