HOUND GROUP

There were some super dogs to judge in this hound group, and I was able to shortlist eight, all excellent quality and they could easily change place on a different occasion.

1st – CH/INT/MULTI CH BUSHWACKER OCEANS ELEVEN – Basenji really smart dog who has won a CC under me in the breed. Still really like him and thought he looked super in the group, striding out well with typical movement.

2nd – SOLETRADER BASIL FAWLTY – Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen - In runner up spot was this young PBGV, can’t say that I have seen him before, today he looked a picture on the stack. I am sure he will have a bright future ahead of him.

3rd – KINDEACE HIT THE ROAD JACK JW – Long Haired Dachshund. One I judged in the breed and thought he was very smart and he really strode out in the big group ring to take this place.

4th – BOWDONIA ELPHABA – Whippet – Another I judged in the breed and really liked her, still young, I thought her very exciting.

HOUND PUPPY GROUP

1st – BRIARMIST FIRE AND ICE TO TEKALHAUS (IMP AUS) – Long Haired Dachshund a super youngster who I am sure has a bright future ahead of her.

2nd – BULLDAXIT'S ARMANI MY WAY – Smooth Haired Dachshund – smart youngster, sound as pound on the move.

3rd – BALLAUREN'S DIAMOND – Whippet – very clean in outline and really excelled on the move in this big ring.

4th – CLOUDSIDE XANDER AROUND BRAEGO – Wire Haired Dachshund – on the stack I thought he was super, just needs to find his feet on the move to complete the picture.

ST BERNARD

CLASS: 166 - LIMIT 1 entry

1st PARLESHAN EBONY ROSE (IKC) BOB.

What a super youngster, she has a super outline on the stack and that first impression was reinforced when I got my hands on her. She has a feminine head and a pleasing expression, good breath of skull, well defined stop and well set eyes. Super through the neck into a well assembled front, stands on well boned legs and good feet. Well made in body, ribs well developed for her age, firm in loin and level topline, tail set on well. Quarters well developed with stifles well bent. Super on the move. Stood alone but such a worthy winner and I am sure will have bright future ahead of her.

1ST VALENTO ENIGMA CODE BOB.

A lovely lady who I thought was very promising, she has a super head and expression, enhanced by lovely dark eye. Well assembled front with depth of forechest and ribs well developed for her age. Stands on good legs and feet. Body well made with good overall proportions, hindquarters well angulated. Moved out so well, held her shape throughout, in excellent coat and condition. Very happy to award her BOB, I think she will do well.

1ST GIANNI ITSPETTICOATTAYLES AMONG LILLINCA. RBOB.

Two year old bitch with a lot to like about her, she scored in head, well shaped with a good muzzle and chin, eye well shaped and of good colour. Good through the neck in to a well made front assembly, stands on good legs and feet. Well made in body with ribs well sprung, firm loin. Hindquarters well developed. Preferred her on the move to the 2nd today, she had a more typical action. In good coat and condition. Pleased to make her my RBOB.

2ND SAXTEAD TOOT SWEET AT TIMARNEA

4 year old bitch of good overall type and balance, good head and expression, ears set on well. Slightly longer cast in body than the winner but held her shape well. Quarters well developed. In excellent coat. Today she wasn’t as good on the move as the winner, and I would have liked a better front action.

1st LILLINCA BEES BLISS BOB

This lady was super on the move and really scored today. She has a beautiful head and pleasing expression, enhanced by a kind eye. Good through the neck into a well assembled front, stands on good legs and feet. Body well made, ribs are well sprung and firm in loin. Quarters are well made with balanced angles. Tail set good. Coat in excellent condition and of good texture. My BOB today.

2nd VELROK RINGING GOLD JW

This one looked good on the stack but wasn’t as tidy as the winner on the move. Good head and expression, good neck into well set shoulders, would like a tidier front. Body well made with ribs well sprung, good through the loin, held his topline well, excellent tai set. Coat is in super condition.

1st DAVRICARD ARTEMIS . BOB. BP.

A lot to like about this young lady, very pretty head with a super expression which was enhanced by a super dark eye, ears set on well. Super clean reach of neck in to a well made front, stands on well boned legs and excellent feet, well made in body with correct depth of chest for her age, good through the ribs and firm in loin, held her topline throughout, Well developed quarters. Moved out so well, with an excellent stride, for one so young that I couldn’t deny her both Best Puppy and Best of Breed.

1st PUDDLEHILL DOCTOR STRANGE 

Dark tri-Coloured male looks good on the stack. Pleasing head of good width, he has a decent front assembly, would like him a little tighter in elbow and a touch more return of upper arm. Well sprung ribs for his age, stands on legs with good rounded bone. Firm in loin with slight tuck up. Liked his hindquarters that are firmly muscled. Moved well.

Two year old bitch who was well put together, head pleasing, shoulders well set, stands on good legs. Would like her a little better in shoulder and tighter in elbow. Good through the body, firm in loin and well made quarters. Moved well, scored in profile action, just a little untidy as she came towards me.

1st CLARISMORE CROWN PRINCE JW. RBOB.

Smart dog, compact and had good overall balance and proportions. I likedd his head piece, well shape and enhanced by a dark eye, giving a masculine expression. Well made in body, ribs well sprung and firm in loin, well developed quarters with a good bend of stifle. Moved out well with a typical action. Just pipped by the charming puppy for top honours today. RBOB

1st JENTIKI DARK NIGHT FOR CANKASPER – RBOB

Very promising puppy with a pleasing head and good expression. Clean outline with good proportions, sound front and rear construction and a good topline. In good coat for age, developing with good texture. Moved well for one so young, showing good drive and balance just needs to tighten up in front action, happy to award him RBOB.

2nd CANKASPER LILLIE BLU MOON

Another pleasing puppy with a good head and expression. Good overall proportions and developing well through body. Shaded cream coat well presented. Needs to fill her frame which she will do as she matures. Movement ok, needs to find her feet a little to complete the picture. A promising youngster.

1st HEDGEFEN ODDS ON FAVOURITE FOR CUNANNUN – BOB, BP

Smart youngster, just 10 months, has a pleasing head, good eye and correct expression. Excellent proportions and a pleasing, balanced outline with good topline. Stands on good legs with good strong bone, well developed in body, needs a little more fill in front which she will get as she matures. Well-developed quarters. Has a pleasing coat with good feathering. Moved very well, with good reach and drive. Presented in excellent condition. Well-deserved BOB and BP.

1st EMERALDAX NAKED KISS

Mature exhibit, 2 years old cream bitch, she has a good head and pleasing expression. Good length and balance with a firm topline and good underline. Well-developed body. Not quite the front of the yearling winner. Coat well presented and appropriate to the variety. Good movement just lost her shape a bit on the move today. Well-handled.

Very promising puppy with a lot to like about him, pleasing head, good expression and nice proportions. Good body development for age with sound topline and underline. Short, close coat in good condition. Moved well with good drive and balance. Pleased to award him Best Puppy.

2nd WHITEWEBBS OBI WAN

Nice puppy with an attractive head and good expression. Needs a little more confidence. Good overall proportions and developing body with sound topline. Good bone and pleasing feet. Coat good and well presented. Movement was ok although could use a little more drive and lost his shape on the final run round.

Another puppy, just 8 months with a pleasing head and excellent expression. Good length, balance and body proportions, with a sound topline and good underline. Stands on well boned legs and good feet. Quarters well developed for her age. Coat short, close and well presented. Needs to find her feet on the move to complete the picture.

1st WHITEWEBBS EXCALIBAR

Well balanced black and tan, with a good head and pleasing expression. Nice length and good body development, with a sound topline. Good bone and feet and a pleasing overall outline. Coat in excellent condition. Moved well with good drive in profile, just a tad untidy on the up and down.

2nd ROZAMIE TIGER FEET

Super overall shape on this dark brindle, with a good head and expression. Good proportions and pleasing body, with adequate bone, a tad soft in topline today. Nice coat and good presentation. Movement good, with plenty of drive.

1st LOGETTA BOOM AND BUST – BOB

Hard to believe this red lady is nine and a half years old. She has an attractive head, good expression. Well balanced throughout, with good length, body and topline. Correct bone and good feet. Short, close coat in excellent condition. Moved extremely well, showing good reach and powerful drive, especially for her age, while retaining a lovely outline. Very well presented and showed confidently. A deserved BOB.

2nd RIVERBRUE WOLFBERRY TO SUMARIC – RBOB

A smart young man, just 2 and has pleasing head and good expression. Good overall proportions and body, with a sound topline and pleasing underline. Good bone and feet. Coat excellent, very well presented. Good movement with sound rear drive. Had to settle for RBOB behind the lovely Boom and Bust.

1st BIMINI ALFIE MOON AT CLAVENNAE – BOB

Very good dog with an attractive, masculine head and good expression. Excellent proportions and pleasing body with a sound topline. Scored in front construction over the second place. Well boned legs and good feet, with correct furnishings and a pleasing coat. Moved well with good reach and drive, more accurate in foot fall. Pleased to award him BOB.

2nd ROSENBACH CHRISTMAS STAR

Another 2 year old, Good overall quality girl with pleasing head and expression. Good proportions, body and topline, with adequate bone. Correct coat and furnishings, presented well. Good movement, though not quite the overall balance and drive of 1st.

Smart dog with good head and expression. Good overall proportions and body with a pleasing topline. Nice bone and stands on good feet. Presented in excellent condition. Good movement with sound drive and balance. A very pleasing exhibit.

2nd KINDEACE LONDON'S CALLING JW

Another smart dog with an attractive head and good expression. Nice length of body, with a sound topline and good underline. Good bone and feet. Excellent coat and presentation. Moved Ok but wasn’t as fluid as the winner a bit untidy in front action today.

Coat of good texture and beautifully presented. Excellent movement with good reach and strong rear drive, maintaining a sound and balanced profile. Showed extremely well. A deserving BOB and later pleased to award him Group 3.

2nd KINDEACE YOU WEAR IT WELL – RBOB

Sibling to the winner and another quality exhibit with a lovely head and pleasing expression. Good proportions and body with sound topline and underline. Coat excellent and very well presented. Moved well with good reach and drive just thought her brother has a tidier action. Very close up and RBOB.

Very promising wire-haired puppy, very striking on the stack. He has a pleasing head and good expression. Good overall proportions for his age, body well-made and firm topline. Correct coat texture and developing furnishings. Moved very well for age with good drive and balance, just needs to tidy up in front action which he should do as he matures. Today RBOB, BP and later Puppy G4.

Attractive mature wire with good head and expression. Good overall proportions, would like a better front assembly. Body propositions good, with sound topline and good underline. Good coat texture and furnishings, presented well. Moved soundly with good drive, just not a tidy in action as the principal winners.

I thought this one was really smart, mature with excellent breed type. Good head and expression, pleasing proportions and a strong, balanced outline. Good body and topline, stands on well boned legs and good feet. Excellent coat and finish, presented to advantage. Very good movement with good reach and drive, held her shape well. Happy to award her BOB.

2nd VELANDOR ILLUMINADA OVER SALEEHAH

Another attractive puppy 9 months with a lovely head and good expression. Good neck and shoulder placement, pleasing topline and developing body. Good through the ribs and underline. Well-made quarters. Moved well with good reach, although not as tidy as the winner in front action today. Very promising.

Smart youngster. Lovely head and expression, good neck and shoulders and a pleasing topline. Good ribcage and underline. Excellent overall balance and elegant outline. Moved very well with good reach and drive, good rear drive. Very well presented and handled well.

2nd KATIESUE'S SHOTGUN FRED

Good youngster of 12 months, so giving away a lot in maturity. He has a pleasing head and expression. Good neck into well placed shoulders, good topline and body development. Not as fluid on the move as the winner today.

Excellent young lady, I liked her make and shape, super breed type and very pleasing outline. Beautiful head and expression, good neck and shoulders and excellent topline. Good through the ribs, correct bone and excellent feet. Very good movement, with effortless reach and drive. Presented and shown beautifully. A deserved Best of Breed and later Group 3, I will follow her career with interest. 

2nd DAPPERDIVA SUGAR AND SPICE AT SALATINI

Another pleasing bitch with good head and expression. Good neck into well set shoulder placement, pleasing topline and good body. Good feet and well boned legs. Clean outline and good movement with sound reach and drive, just tended to lose her shape a little on the move.

I liked this lady, mature with attractive head and expression. Wouldn’t want any more of her but she is not overdone. Good neck and shoulders, excellent front, pleasing topline and excellent body proportions. Good through the ribs which are well sprung, with correct bone and good feet. Excellent quarters. Lovely outline and in good condition. Moved very well with good reach and powerful rear drive. Very nicely presented and showed well.

2nd BOWDONIA SKY FULL OF STARS JW

Another lovely bitch with a good head and a lovely expression. Good neck and shoulders, sound topline and well made in body, a little shorter coupled than the winner. Good feet and correct bone. Excellent outline and very good movement. Nicely presented and showed well, just lost her shape on the move in the run off today.

Really smart bitch, who just got better and better as the class went on. Lovely head and expression, super eye. Elegant neck and good shoulder placement. Stands on well boned legs and good feet. Strong topline, good ribcage and underline and correct bone and feet. Beautiful balanced outline. Excellent movement with good reach and drive, today in the challenge she lost her shape and topline, which cost her the top spot. RBOB.

2nd SELINKO STARGAZER

Stood this chap looked a picture but just threw the towel in on the move. Smart dog with a masculine head and excellent expression. Good neck, shoulder placement OK, good overall body proportions, ribs well sprung. Lovely outline stood.

Excellent body development for age with a deep ribcage. Good feet and sound construction. Moved well with good reach and drive, maintaining a pleasing outline. Best AVNSC.
