Thank you to my excellent steward, Tasha for your efficiency and good spirit. Finally many thanks to all the exhibitors for your entries, staying the course and sportsmanship. I know the second show of the day is always tiring and the high temperatures made it even more so. I am aware that the conditions affected performance in some dogs and handlers. I was very happy with my final winners. BPD / BPB / Best Baby Puppy No entries VD 3 (1)William’s Flaxella Living Legend Of Gwendonydd. 10 year old well balanced, compact, strong and muscular boy well covered with lovely soft and silky coat of good colour and presenting a nice outline. His head is correctly proportioned and correct ear set. Eye colour and pigmentation are good and mouth and dentition ok. He has good reach of neck and straight, muscular forelegs. Rear angulation is good and he moves very well with drive, maintaining level top line. Best Veteran Dog 2. Grimes and Watson’s Janeyjimjams Jam Devlin. 7year old dog with nice soft wheaten coloured coat falling in loose waves. Muscular and strong with level topline and tail well set. He has good eye colour and excellent pigmentation. Good strong teeth with scissor bite. Adequate length of neck. Muscular fore and hind quarters with good bone. Moves well. PD 3 (1) 1.Fallon’s Snowmeadow Uncle Ugo At Crofftysofty Lovely 8 month old boy with plenty of nicely textured coat falling in loose waves - colour will come as he matures. He is compact, muscular and well angulated. He has good head proportions and planes, well set small ears, good eye colour and pigmentation and good dentition. He has well placed shoulders and forequarters, good reach of neck and level top line leading to well set tail. He has well turned stifles and and well let down hocks. He moved well in the class but unfortunately had had more than enough when it came to challenge for best puppy and this cost him higher honours. One to watch for the future 2.Francis’ Denzilly Making Waves with Sawheaten. Not as settled as 1, this 10 month old boy has lots of promising soft, well coloured, loosely waved coat. He has a nicely proportioned head with correct ear set. Eye colour and pigmentation are good and mouth ok. He has straight forelegs with good bone. Good chest and muscular hind quarters with adequate turn of stifle. Tail well placed but held a little tight at the moment. Moved ok JD 1 1.Lui’s Eblanahalls Gold Fascinus JW, At 12 months old this strong, muscular, well balanced, compact boy demands attention. He stands four square with head and tail up and is certainly a happy dog full of character. His coat is at a difficult ‘in-between stage’ but is a good colour and developing a nice wave. He has good head proportions, planes and well defined stop. Jaws are strong and excellent scissor bite. He has good depth of chest, well laid back shoulders and straight forelegs with good bone. He holds a level top line on the move and has a well set, well held tail. Rear quarters are muscular, stifle well bent and hocks well let down. Pleased to award him Reserve Best Dog in Show and look forward to watching him as he matures. Sp Beginners Dog 2 1.Cleverley’s JaneyJimJams Jinga Beer. Compact and upstanding this nicely sized 23 month old boy has plenty of well coloured, soft but still maturing coat. Head correctly proportioned, well set ears, good eye colour and pigmentation. Mouth ok. Shoulders and forequarters ok, with good chest and level top line and well set tail. Adequate rear angulation and well let down hocks. Moved well. Pleased to award Best Special Beginner in Show and pleased to see that he was awarded Group2 in the Southern Counties Championship Show Special Beginners Group 2. Amel-Azizpours’s Crofftysofty Hay Jude. Close decision between these two boys. He is a more mature 3 year old boy with nice soft and silky coat not quite as compact as 1. Good head proportions and ear set with good eye colour and excellent pigmentation. Mouth ok. He is muscular with good bone and good depth of chest. Not quite the reach of 1 today. PGD 0 entries LD 1 1. Amel-Azizpours’s Crofftysofty Hay Jude. 2nd in Special Beginners Dog. I have noted that he moved much better in this class. OD 3 1. Charleton’s CH House of Softy Indus (IMP SWE) ShCEx Compact, muscular and upstanding 6 yr old boy. Super coat of correct colour and texture. Well balanced and unexaggerated. Good head proportions with well set ears, eye colour good with good pigmentation. Good reach of moderately long, strong, muscular and slightly arched neck running cleanly into well laid shoulders. Chest moderately wide and straight well boned forelegs. Body short coupled with level top line and well set tail held gaily. Good turn of stifle and well let down hocks. He certainly gives the appearance of a happy dog full of character and he moved well despite the heat. Pleased to award him Best Dog in show and Best Opposite Sex and interested to see that he sired both Best Bitch and Reserve Best Bitch. 2.Herbert’s Saffini Smooth Operator At Julibidd. Celebrating his 5th birthday on the day, he is another quality dog. Compact, muscular and upstanding. He has a nice head with good eye colour and pigmentation. Dentition ok. He has good reach of correctly proportioned neck with well placed shoulder. Short coupled with level topline and good tail set. Not quite the coat texture of 1. Moved well. VB 3 (2) 1.Satherley, Satherley and Bye’s CH Silkcroft Sky Full Of Stars. I particularly liked the size and beautiful coat of this 12 year old veteran girl. She has profuse, well coloured, wavy, silky and soft coat that flows when she moves. Her head is of good proportions and she has well set small ears. She has good eye colour and pigmentation. Despite her age she remained happy and game and moved well. Pleased to award her Best Veteran Bitch and Best Veteran In Show PB 4 1. Satherley’s Going Viral. 8 month old well schooled, confident, spirited and happy puppy. She is compact, muscular and has good bone. She is well balanced and without any exaggeration. Nicely proportioned head with good planes and defined stop. Her medium sized ears are well set. Eyes good colour and good pigmentation. Excellent mouth and scissor bite. She has particularly well constructed forequarters with good reach of neck and well laid back shoulders . She has a level topline and correct tail set. Well turned stifle and well let down hocks. She consistently moved well with free flowing action. Pleased to award her Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Show 2. Munn’s Snowmeadow Unforgettable Ubble. Beautiful 8 month old puppy. Despite being unsettled, her qualities shone through. She already has a lovely profuse, well textured coat with promise of excellent colour. Very nice head, ear set, eye colour and excellent pigmentation. Excellent mouth and teeth. Like 1 she has good reach of neck and excellent lay back of shoulder. She has a straight front and is muscular with good bone throughout. She has a compact body, level topline and good tail set. Good turn of stifle and well let down hocks. Moved ok. She did enough to award 2nd place but when more settled could do better. JB 1 (1) Sp Beginners B 0 PGB 2 1.Fallon’s Crofftysofty Bee Yonce. Pretty 23 month old girl with beautiful profuse coat of correct colour and excellent texture falling in loose waves. She is compact, muscular, upstanding and unexaggerated in any way. Good head with well set ears. Eye colour correct with dark black rims. Mouth good. She has deep chest and good lay back of shoulder and straight forelegs, muscular with good bone. She has level topline and tail set ok. Muscular hind quarters with adequate turn of stifle and well let down hocks. Moves well. 2. John’s Dohoci Cariad Nicely sized 23 month old girl. A little unsettled in the ring. Her head is of good proportions with excellent ear set and small ears. She has good eye colour and pigmentation Mouth is ok Her coat is still maturing but has good colour. Well muscled and with good bone. Moved ok despite initial reluctance. LB 4 (1) 1.Grimes and Watson’s Keevasdream Purple Bliss For Spudler . Lovely two and a half year old girl. Good tempered, spirited and game. My notes say ‘what the standard says’ . She is balanced, compact and unexaggerated. She has excellent coat quality, soft, silky, with good colour and falling in loose waves. She has good head proportions, planes and defined stop with excellent small well set ears. Eye colour and pigmentation is good and she has an excellent mouth with big teeth and scissor bite. She has well laid back shoulder with straight, well boned and muscled forelegs. Her level top line is held on the move with excellent tail set and carriage. She has muscular hindquarters with well turned stifle and well let down hocks. She moves with free flowing action with both reach and drive. She pushed hard for the highest honours, but in the end by splitting hairs, delighted to award her Reserve Best Bitch and Reserve Best in Show 2. Lui’s Eblanahalls Kiss Curl JW. Another quality bitch, this 3 year old girl is active, short coupled and upstanding and exuding terrier type. Her coat is of good colour with a nice wave and flows when she moves, just preferred the texture of 1 today. Her head is of correct proportions and her medium sized ears are well set. Eye colour and pigmentation are good and mouth and dentition excellent. With good fore and hind quarters she has a level topline with well set tail. Moved well with reach and drive and pushed hard for 1st place. OB 8 (1) This was a class full of quality dogs and close decisions which inevitably meant that some very good dogs were not rewarded. By this time the heat of the day also seemed to affect performance and on another day placings may change 1.Hughlock’s Keevasdream Ballerina Blue JW ShCEx OSW Not exaggerated in any way she is a correctly sized beautiful 4yr old girl with the right quantity of fabulous coat of good colour, excellent texture which flowed as she moved. She is well balanced in both structure and movement, compact, upstanding and has the appearance of a happy dog full of character. Her head is correctly proportioned with flat skull and defined stop. Eye colour, pigmentation and mouth and dentition are excellent. She has a moderately long neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Straight, well boned and muscular forequarters. Level top line with well set, gaily held tail. Hind quarters are muscular with well turned stifle and well let down hocks. Her free flowing movement completes the picture. Delighted to award her Best Bitch in Show and Best in Show 2. Munn’s Snowmeadow Treacle Toffee. Lovely compact 4 yr old with another super coat of good length, texture, colour and flowing as she moved . A pretty bitch with nice head, good eye colour and excellent pigmentation. Excellent mouth and dentition. She is well balanced with good lay of shoulder, good forequarters, level topline, good tail set and good rear angulation. Although she moved well I felt she could have moved even better however she did enough to justify her placing in the class. Brace 2 (1) 1.
