Wath, West Melton & District CS Open Show 28/02/26

Thanks to the Committee for uthis invitation. It was a cold day, in an equestrian centre, but an enjoyable one!

Miniature Poodle

P: (2,1) 1st Lister’s Calmanic Play It Again; 2mth old black D. Good mouth, nice dark eye, giving pleasing expression. Nice neck into shoulder. Firm body with good depth for his age. Nicely proportioned. Moved well. RBoB & BP

PG: (3,1) Lunnun-Turner & Dumont’s Arrowflight Luck Be A Lady with Sirensong. 15mth black B. Not too happy today but her attributes showed. Nice head & expression with good bite. Good neck into shoulders, well proportioned and moved well. BoB. 2. Talbot’s Ysabelkid Surprise Gift. 5yr old girl, a little round in the eye spoiling expression. Finer made than 1 and a little upright in angles. Nice body & moved well.

Toy Poodle

O: (2) 1. Thompson’s Afterglow Show Yer Nuts Trandella (JW). 2.5yrs D Very well put together. Nice head, eye & expression. Nice straight front. Good lay back of shoulder with firm body of good depth. Nice curve of stifle & firm hocks. Moved well. BoB 2. Gouldsborough’s Safiette Midsummer Moon. Nearly 4yr old B, weaker in head than 1 but nice dark eye and expression. Lighter in body and angles not so good. Moved well. RBoB.  

Std Poodle

P: (3) 1Barber’s Larune Break The Spell 9mth black B. This is a very nice youngster, but the owner must get to grips with her, so that she can show off her attributes which are a nice head eye & expression. Good neck into shoulder and nice straight front. Good firm body & lovely strong back-end. Erratic on the move but saw enough to confirm she moves correctly. BP& BoB. 2 Dziobon’s Sterlingway Astralmighty, 10mth black B with nice head, eye and expression. Good front, not the layback of shoulder of 1. Good body for her age and nicely proportioned. Moved well. 3. Kernick’s Hope Dreams Come True.

PG: (2) 1 Colton’s Sachemic’s You’re A Wizard. Mature black D who is nicely made. Masculine head of good proportions with nice expression. Straight front. Good angles front & back with firm hocks. Well proportioned body. Moved well. RBoB. 2. Irving & Foster’s Sarnia Takin It Eze. 12mth old, promising but naughty girl. Good head proportions, dark eye and good expression. Good neck into shoulders and firm body. Nice angles front & back.

PG:(1) 1. Turner’s Boule And One A Kaiser Chief at Vulabops 3yr brindle boy. Nice head & expression. Straight front. Nice strong neck with compact body. Moved very well. BoB

J: (1) 1. Spanias’ Charids Queen Of Hearts. 14mth B Nice head and expression, good ears. Good pigment, straight front, enough neck. Firm compact body, nice rear and profuse coat. Moved well. BoB.

PG: 1. Charids Q.Of H. 2 . Spanias’ Charids Spring Blossom, 23mth B with correct pigment. Preferred head & expression of 1. She has a nice shape and is balanced, with a firm, deep, body. Nice mover.

O: (2) 1. Spanias’ Charids King Of Hearts. 5yr boy of smaller build. Head a little wrinkled. Nice neck into shoulder and compact body. Firm back-end and moved well. RBoB. 2. Fisher’s Shulian San Angelo Star ay Poppykins. 4yr old bigger made dog and longer in body, so for me, not so balanced. Has a better head than 1. Nice firm back end. Moved well.

Japanese Shiba Inu

P: 1. Bryans’ Marilouvale Had It Coming. Just 6mth girl who was very fidgety but obviously has lots of promise. Nice head & expression. Lovely straight front legs and good, arched, neck into shoulders. Firm body for her age. Nice curve of stifle with firm hocks. Moved well. BP & BoB

PG: (3,0) 1.Bryans’ Marilouvale Annabelle B just over 2yrs. Nor so well balanced, longer in body. Nice head. Good firm back end. Moved well. 2. Broadhurst’s Hokkaido Lady In Red 4.5yr old girl who has a lovely head & expression but for me she’s a little short on the leg, making her look too long in the body, so not balanced. She has good depth of body and nice curve of stifle. 3. Behan’s Tiblha Fidget Aria Liarna

O: (5,0) 1. Bryans’ Marilouvale Eddie Murphy. 3.5yr boy who has a nice head & expression. Good front with nice arched neck. Nice back end and good mover. Overall, a nice dog, perhaps slightly long. RBoB. 2. Broadhurst’s Kintoki Mizuki, 3.5yr old B. Preferred head of 1. Well bodies, nice straight front. Good firm back-end. Moved well. 3. Bryans’ Marilouvale Break The Bank.

Keeshound

PG: (1) 1. Bennett’s Zandvoort Mr Sunshine. 17mth old dog who is nice & compact. Nice head proportions, eye & expression. Good neck into shoulder and profuse ruff. Strong body and firm back end. Moved well RBoB.

O: (2,1) 1. Brunt’s Ch Zandvoort Moonlight. 2.5yr old B who was a bit fidgety but had lovely proportions. Good head and expression lovely small ears. Nice neck into shoulder. Strong compact body with profuse coat and good ruff. Firm back and good movement. BoB.

AV Import Reg Utility

O: (4,0) 1 Cunningham’s Korean Jindo, Yulyeong Special Edition. Lovely youngster who is very sound and nicely put together. Appealing head with nice eyes and erect ears, giving a nice alert expression. Firm body and good back end. Good mover. 2. Spry, Balode & Emerson’s Xoloitzcuintle, Tamoanchan Xareni (Bel/Lux JCh) Nearly 3yrs old B with a lovely head and alert expression, helped by well set, quite large, ears. Nice, elegant neck into well placed shoulders. It was a cold day, and I think she felt it so, was a little hunched. Moved well. 3.Cunningham’s Korean Jindo, Kwest’s Eunhasu at Yulyeong.

AV Utility Veteran

(6:3) 1. 1 Cunningham’s Korean Jindo, Int’Ir Ch Yulyeong Warrior Princess (Ir JCh) 8.5yr old girl who is still very sound. Lovely head, nice eyes and erect ears, giving a lovely expression. Straight front with slightly arched neck. Good, firm, body of correct length. Presents a nice picture. Moved well. BV. 2. Wallington’s Dalmatian Dallyador Secret Passion for Rovinjdal (JW). 7.4yr old B with a nice head & expression. Good straight front and well laid shoulders. Firm, strong body. Nice curve of stifle. Moved well. RBV. 3. Clare’s Chow, Benoleo Shiraz.

Utility Group

A nice group of dogs from which I chose Gp1: Baker’s Bulldog, Smoochabull Cyrus the Viruss Into Pacolito.15mth old dog who I thought had the most beautiful head. He is very sound throughout with good muscle. Nice broad shoulders and straight front legs. Deep body and strong back. Moved well. A definite male bulldog but not overdone. Gp 2: was Moore’s Shih Tze, Ch Unstoppable Alpiu Slenis To Jaxtzu JW ShCEx OSW (Imp LTU).. 2yr old dog with a lovely head. Big dark eyes giving soft expression. Nicely arched neck giving aloof appearance. Firm body of nice length and depth. Moved well on perhaps not the best of surface for this breed. All topped by a super coat. Gp 3: Cunningham’s Korean Jindo, Yulyeong Special Edition. Gp 4: Toy Poodle, Thompson’s Afterglow Show Yer Nuts Trandella 

Utility Puppy Group

Again, some nice young dogs from which I chose Gp1: Reid-West’s Dalmatian, Jumblewood Northern Stork. At 8-mths this boy is very mature for his age so I hope he’s finished. He has a lovely Head& expression. Good strong neck into well laid shoulders. Strong body of good length and, overall, well balanced. Moved very well and looked elegant and capable of great endurance. Gp 2: Cunningham’s Korean Jindo, Yulyeong Special Edition. Gp 3: Hattrell’s Lhasa Apso, Valentino Mystique at Khinjan. This very attractive young lady didn’t like the floor but she oozes quality. Gp 4: Bryans’ Shih Tze, Marilouvale Had It Coming.
