Eastern Counties Yorkshire Terrier Club

I would like to extend my sincere thanks for the kind invitation to judge at Eastern Counties Yorkshire Terrier Club open show. It was truly a pleasure and an honour to be part of such an event.

The atmosphere throughout the day was friendly, relaxed, and welcoming, making the experience all the more enjoyable. I am very grateful to all the exhibitors who supported me with their entries—it is always appreciated and never taken for granted.

My thanks also go to the committee for their hard work and dedication behind the scenes.

I was particularly pleased with the overall quality of the dogs exhibited.

Thank you once again for the opportunity—it was a thoroughly rewarding day.

BPB (2,0) 1st – Hutchinson, Mrs M & Mrs J – CLASSY AND SASSY OF NEW DEAL (Imp Hun) An outstanding 4.5-month-old puppy of correct size and lovely proportions. She presents a classic head with a beautiful expression, complemented by dark eyes and dark pigmentation. Her topline is level, and she carries her tail gracefully on the move. A rich dark steel colour starts coming through shiny, heavy, silky coat. Although reluctant to move on the lead today, she performed beautifully off lead. A very promising bitch and a well-deserved Best Baby Puppy in Show.

2nd – Dixon-Hardwick, Mrs M – ENTERTAINER OF NEW DEAL AT AACHARMOE NAF TAF A 21-week-old baby bitch on a smaller scale. She has a lovely head and expression and presented herself exceptionally well both on the move and on the table.

PD (1,0) 1st – Hayden, Miss S – HAPPY LIFE OF NEW DEAL AT MYSHERIE A 10-month-old male with an appealing head and expression, enhanced by dark eyes and pigmentation. He maintains a level topline both on the move and when stacked, carrying his tail proudly. The dark steel colouring is developing well across his body. With an excellent temperament and confident movement, he was presented to a high standard. A deserving winner of Best Puppy in Show, Best Dog, and Reserve Best in Show.

Veteran D/B (2,1) 1st – Carr, Miss S – R WILLIHELM SPECIAL ROMANCE A 9-year-old bitch in excellent condition, looking wonderful for her age. She has a feminine head and expression, clear tan colouring, and a silky coat with good volume. She moves well when settled. A worthy Best Veteran in Show.

MPB (1,0)v1st – Thompson, Mrs E – QUEENSLAKE MAGICAL RING An 8-month-old bitch of smaller scale, compact and well-proportioned. She has a correct bite, dark eyes, and good pigmentation, along with a pleasing head and expression. Her dark coat, level topline, and confident tail carriage enhance her overall presentation. She moved very well to secure Best Minor Puppy in Show.
PB (1,0) 1st – Hutchinson, Mrs M & Mrs J – TRAYSHELLIN TRADITION TAF An 11-month-old bitch with a beautiful feminine head and expression. She shows strong pigmentation, with tan colour developing nicely. Her body coat is a lovely dark steel blue with a silky texture. Well-shaped and elegant, she moved gracefully in the ring. A deserving Reserve Best Puppy in Show.

JB (3,2) 1st – Foster, Miss T & Mrs T – MARLUKNEY BLOSSOM GODDESS A 1-year-old bitch with a very pleasing head and expression, supported by dark eyes and pigmentation. She carries a correctly textured dark steel coat and has a well-constructed body with a nicely filled chest and correct tail set. She moved confidently and freely, earning Reserve Best Bitch in Show.

YB (1,0) 1st – Dixon-Hardwick, Mrs M – GEEGEE’S HEAVENSENT TO AACHARMOE An outstanding 16-month-old bitch with a beautiful head and expression and excellent pigmentation. Her coat is of exceptional quality—heavy, cool to the touch, silky, and of correct colour with great volume. She is well-sized with a balanced outline, maintaining a level topline and moving with enthusiasm and joy. A pleasure to judge, she rightfully took Best Bitch and Best in Show. Wishing her continued success.

PGB (2,0) 1st – Carr, Miss S – R WILLIHELM LOVING MOMENT A 6-year-old bitch with a pleasing head, clear tan colouring, and good pigmentation. She moved happily around the ring.

2nd – Foster, Miss T & Mrs T – JANKERI BEATRICE A 2-year-old bitch with a feminine head and expression, complemented by bright tan colouring. She has a strong body, good proportions, and moved very well.

LB (2,1) 1st – Carr, Miss S – R WILLIHELM DREAMS OF LOVE A 6-year-old bitch with bright tan colouring, a pleasant expression, and good pigmentation. She displays a steel blue body coat but was not inclined to move freely in the ring today.
