To begin, I want to express my gratitude to all the officers and committee members for their warm welcome before and during my judging. I also wish to thank my steward, Peter, who ensured the ring operated smoothly. I would like to acknowledge the exhibitors who presented their outstanding dogs under my judging, and thank you for accepting my decisions sportingly, the overall quality of the entries was truly exceptional. Unfortunately, some exhibits stood alone in their classes, but their wins were well deserved.

1. Simpson’s ROMINJAY YOU BELONG WITH ME, 2yo Red & White Bitch with dark overlay, sister of below, she had such a beautiful feminine expression with a good stop and endearing dark eyes, she has a correct scissor bite, thick triangular ears, with a good strong neck flowing into well placed shoulders, adequate depth of chest, nicely ribbed back with a strong loin and correct high tail set, curled nicely over her back, she has lovely muscular hind quarters and nicely muscled throughout, she moved around the ring with confidence and covered the ground well keeping a level topline on the move, she was expertly presented and handled well.

Simpson’s ROMINJAY KING OF MY HEART, 2yo Red & White Dog with dark overlay, brother of above, he had such confidence as he entered the ring and didn’t disappoint, he had a lovely masculine head of correct proportions, with a good defined stop and lovely thick triangular ears with gorgeous dark eyes, correct scissor bite, he has a good strong muscular neck flowing into well placed shoulders, good depth of chest, with good spring of rib and strong loin with a correct tail set, beautifully curled over his back, strong and muscular hind quarters, he moved out with style and covered the ground well with a good rhythmic and resilient gait, keeping a beautiful topline as he moved around the ring, it was splitting hairs so to speak with these siblings but on the day I just preferred to movement of this boy, professionally presented and handled to perfection. Jordon’s IRONJACKS FAT BOTTOMED GIRL AT SOUTERBULL, 20mths Red & White Bitch, she was alert and confident as she entered the ring, she has a well-defined stop with a short muzzle, she has a broad and square mouth with correct bite, she has such beautiful dark round eyes, lovely rose shaped high set ears with a black nose with large open nostrils, she has a thick muscular strong arched neck, she has a good depth of chest with nicely rounded ribs, good forequarters nicely muscled stout and straight, nicely ribbed back with strong loin, correct tail set, she has excellent muscular hindquarters, she moved around the ring with confidence with that typical bulldog roll, maintaining a lovely trot as she covered the ground well keeping a level topline on the move, she was well-presented and expertly handled. Hunt & Oliver’s NOWITNA CEE YOUR KLASSIC AT KWANGCHOW (AI) JW, 20mths Red Bitch, I loved her character and the “look at me” attitude as she entered the ring, she has such a beautiful strong yet feminine head, with lovely dark oval shaped eyes, good pigment in mouth with that typical bluish-black tongue, good stop with correct scissor bite, her width of muzzle to skull ratio ideal, she has a beautiful strong arched neck that flows into well placed shoulders, good depth of chest and nicely ribbed back with a strong loin, correct tail set, she is compact and well balanced throughout, she has a lovely profuse coat of correct texture, she displayed that typical true rear movement, both in profile and coming and going giving that typical pendulum like action, professionally presented and handled to perfection. Mackenzie & Mackenzie-Haverson’s BECONPRIDE CARBON COPY WITH CHEUNTAO JW, 17mths Black Dog, he has a lovely strong masculine head of correct proportions, gorgeous dark eyes with a correct scissor bite, good pigment and a blueish-black tongue, good strong neck flowing nicely into nicely placed shoulders, adequate depth of chest with good spring of rib and a strong short loin, correct tail set, correct coat texture, he maintains a parallel action both ends with good reach and drive, covering the ground well and keeping a level topline on the move, he was very well presented and expertly handled.

3. Halliday’s BOJINGHAI ACE OF SPADES WITH KYLEASH, 13mths Black Dog. Handsome young boy, he has a lovely masculine head with endearing dark eyes, good stop with correct scissor bite, he has that typical blueish-black tongue, lovely strong arched neck into well placed shoulders, with a good depth of chest and nicely ribbed back with short loin, correct tail set, nicely muscled throughout he has a coat of correct texture, he moved out with style covering the ground with determination keeping a level topline on the move. well-presented and expertly handled.

SONGSHIJIA CHIEF KWANGCHOW JW, 3yo Red Dog, he had such lovely dark oval shaped expressive eyes, correct scissor bite, good pigmentation in mouth with a lovely bluish-black tongue, he had a good strong neck flowing into well-placed shoulders, he was nicely ribbed back with a strong loin, correct tail set, he has a profuse coat of correct texture and has well developed hind quarters moving around the ring with a short striding gait on his tight round cat like feet, with that typical pendulum like action keeping a level topline on the move, nicely muscled throughout, expertly handled and well presented.

Junior (2,1a)

1. Westmorland’s ALDHAMMILL’S LUCIE LOCKET AT GAILBULLS, 13mths Pied Bitch, she stood alone but what beautiful presence she had with such confidence as she entered the ring, she has a lovely feminine head with a well-defined muzzle, correct bite, she has gorgeous dark eyes with a well-defined stop, she has powerful well arched neck of moderate length which flowed nicely into well placed shoulders, she has a wide brisket with well sprung ribs and short strong loin, her feet were compact and well knuckled, she moved around the ring with confidence keeping a level topline on the move, superbly handled and well presented.

1 Young’s LEYENDA’S BE DAZZLED, 22mths Light Brindle Dog, another that stood alone but I loved this boy when he entered the ring he had such confidence, he has a masculine head of correct proportions, lovely dark expressive eyes with a good well defined stop, correct bite, he has a lovely strong neck with flowed into well placed shoulders, good depth of chest and nicely ribbed back with a strong muscular loin, he has a low set tail, strong muscular legs with moderate angulation, he has small compact feet, well knuckled so typical of this breed, he moved around the ring with such confidence with a free flowing gait, keeping a level topline on the move, expertly presented and handled to perfection BOB

Hutchinson’s OSCHALBEN OLYMPUS JW, 18mths Brindle Dog, and yet another that stood alone but he certainly had the attitude and confidence, he has a masculine head with lovely dark eyes with a good stop, correct bite, he has a lovely muscular neck flowing into well placed shoulders, good depth of chest with well sprung ribs and a short strong loin, correct low set tail, nicely muscled throughout, he has lovely small compact feet and nicely knuckled, he covered the ground well keeping a level topline on the move, he was professionally handled and well presented, I had considered him for BOB but I just preferred the movement of the Junior class winner.

Holmes LONGSDALE’S MISS HOLMES, 3yo Cream Sable Bitch, what a beautiful feminine girl, she has lovely dark oval eyes with a correct scissor bite, she has small triangular ears set high, she has a short neck flowing nicely into well placed shoulders, she has a good depth of chest and nicely ribbed back with a short strong loin, correct high tail set curled nicely over her back, she has good angulation both rear and fore, she is nicely muscled throughout, good angulation both front and rear she has small round cat like feet, she covered the ground with that typical brisk action keeping a level topline on the move, well-presented and handled to perfection. Rogerson’s TISPITZA’S DAMNED BY RUMOUR OF NOSREGOR, 11mths Cream Dog, As he entered the ring he was alert and in total awe of his handler, he has beautiful dark oval eyes, with a good stop, he has small high set ears, correct scissor bite, a short strong neck set into well placed shoulders, good depth of chest nicely ribbed back with a well-developed loin, he has a lovely high set tail that curled nicely over his back, correct coat texture, nicely angulated both front and rear, he has lovely small round feet with well arched toes, he stood with a lovely square outline and moved out with confidence with that typical brisk action, and kept a level topline whilst on the move, well-presented and handled to perfection. Davies KIMETSU AYUKI KORI GO AT KASAISHIRO 12mths White Bitch, she was so adorable with a very feminine head, lovely dark eyes with correct stop and correct scissor bite, she has a lovely strong neck with flowed nicely into well placed shoulders, good depth of chest with a good spring of rib, she has a short strong loin and correct high tail set which was tightly curled, nicely muscled throughout, she has strong hindquarters which she used perfectly on the move, she covered the ground well keeping a level topline on the move, expertly presented and handled well.

Davies RYUUKITA BURNING TALISMAN AT KASAISHIRO (IKC), 2yo Red Fawn Dog, loved this boy he has such a determined alert look about him, lovely dark eyes with a good stop, correct scissor bite, he has a thick muscular neck which flowed into well laid shoulders, he has a good depth of chest nicely ribbed back with a well-defined tuck up, he has a short muscular loin with a high tail set, he has a beautiful coat of correct texture, he covered the ground perfectly with strong moderate strides keeping a level topline on the move, expertly handled and shown with such confidence BOB

Adey’s BURWEN BLUE CORVETTE AT ECHEZEAUX, 2yo Dog, A very handsome masculine boy, gorgeous dark eyes, with a well-defined stop, he has a correct scissor bite, lovely high set ears, he has a slightly arched strong neck with flowed nicely into well placed shoulders, he has good depth of chest and nicely ribbed back with a short loin, correct high tailset, nicely muscled throughout, good front and rear angulation, he covered the ground well with such determination and confidence with a light and energetic gait, keeping a level topline on the move, well-presented and handled to perfection. Caldwell’s VALKIRA SECRET LOVE AT TAIGHMUILNE, 4yo Red & white Bitch, what a beautiful girl with lovely dark eyes giving a friendly expression, she has well feathered ears carried close to her cheeks, correct scissor bite, she has a well-muscled neck of good length which flowed into well placed shoulders, she has a good depth of chest with a good spring of rib with a slight tuck-up, correct tail set well feathered with lovely plume, she has lovely free flowing movement with good extension and good rear drive, she covered the ground well keeping a level topline on the move, she was well presented and expertly handled.

Caldwell’s CRUNCHCROFT RAZZLE-DAZZLE AT TAIGHMUILNE, 8yo White & Orange Dog, a very handsome boy with lovely dark expressive eyes, giving that alert friendly expression so typical of this breed, he has well feathered ears carried close to his cheeks, he has a correct scissor bite, good adequate stop, he has a well-muscled neck which flowed nicely into well placed shoulders, he has a good depth of chest with a good spring of rib, correct tail set with a beautiful well feathered tail with a lovely plume, nicely muscled throughout, he covered the ring with such confidence and stylish movement keeping a level topline on the move, expertly handled and well presented. Chesterfield’s AINTSHE UNLOCK THE SWAG INTO BURNSETT, 14mths Black & White Dog, Absolutely loved this boy, he has such attitude with a “look at me I’m here” look about him, he has such endearing dark oval eyes, correct bite with a good stop, he has gorgeous heavily feathered pendant ears, he has a beautiful strong neck with flowed nicely into well placed shoulders, nicely ribbed back with a strong short loin, he has a lovely well feathered tail and correct high tail set, he has an excellent coat of correct texture a credit to his owner, he is well balanced and compact, nicely muscled throughout, he covered the ground well with free and jaunty movement, keeping a level topline on the move, he stood perfectly and was considered for BOB expertly handled and well presented.

Thompson’s TOYNBEE YOUNG HEARTS, 2yo Gold Dog, Masculine boy with correct head proportions, good stop with lovely dark oval expressive eyes, correct bite, adequate stop, he has a strong neck with flowed nicely into well placed shoulders, nicely ribbed back with decent loin, correct tail set & carriage, he covered the ground well with sound and jaunty movement, well handled and confidently shown.

3. Taylor & Johnson’s SIFRASONS MY SPECIAL ONE, 6mths Gold Dog, Absolutely loved the attitude of this youngster, he has gorgeous dark expressive eyes with correct bite, good stop, he has a lovely strong neck with carried his head perfectly, he has good depth of chest for his age, well ribbed back with strong loin and has a correct high tail set, with a lovely plume with he carried gaily over his back, he has an abundance of coat for his age in fabulous condition a credit to his owner, he was nicely muscled throughout, he was a little unsettled to start and certainly gave his owner a hard time by doing what puppies do best enjoying themselves in the showring, but once settled and realising what he needed to do I saw enough to award this boy BP & PUPPY GROUP 3 I foresee a good future ahead of this young boy.

Taylor & Johnson’s DENZKA ELDRITCH TO SIFRASON, 16mths Gold Dog, Absolutely stunning I loved this boy as soon as he entered the ring, he had the confidence and attitude I like in this breed, he commanded attention and certainly didn’t disappoint, he has lovely dark expressive eyes, good medium stop, correct bite, he has a lovely arched neck which flowed nicely into his well-placed shoulders, good depth of chest and nicely ribbed back with a good strong loin, he has a correct tail set which was carried nicely over his back and well feathered, good angulation both front and rear, this boy is in excellent coat a credit to his owner, he moved around the ring with such style and with beautiful free flowing movement, keeping a level topline on the move, beautifully presented and handled to perfection I had no hesitation on awarding him BOB & GROUP 3

2. Chesterfield’s PHAREAL HEARTBREAKER INTO BURNSETT, 4yo Gold Dog, Another stunning boy he has a lovely masculine head, with dark oval eyes, well set ears with correct bite, he has an adequate stop, strong slender neck into well laid shoulders, nicely ribbed back with strong loin, correct tailset, coat in excellent condition a credit to his owner, he covered the ground well with a free and jaunty movement so typical of this breed, well-presented and handled with confidence.

1. Gavin’s VIOLACEOUS MY GIRL, 10mths Pepper & Salt Bitch, I wrote in my notes “WOW Absolutely stunning young girl” as soon as she entered the ring, I thought WOW! She certainly oozed quality and didn’t disappoint, she has such beautiful dark expressive eyes with adorable arched eyebrows, good stop with correct scissor bite, lovely high set ears she has a strong muscular neck with flowed down nicely into her well placed shoulders, she has a good depth of chest and nicely ribbed back with a short strong loin, correct tail set, she has both good front and rear angulation, This young girl had such confidence showing her socks off as she covered the ground well with an effortless free flowing gait, keeping a level topline on the move, I can see this young lady having a very successful future ahead of her and I had no hesitation in awarding her BP & PUPPY GROUP 1

2. McGarrigle’s WLANIMU’S LUCK FAVOURS THE BOLD FOR IGGLEWICK (IMP UKR) 13mths Black & Silver Dog, dark expressive eyes with lovely arched eyebrows, she has a good stop with correct scissor bite, strong neck flowing into well laid shoulders, good depth of chest for age, good spring of rib with a short strong loin, correct tail set, nicely muscled throughout, unfortunately this boy was distracted by his very vocal kennel buddy who decided it was time to play rather than to show today, but that’s totally understandable and did make me smile, eventually he did settle and I could asses his movement, he covered the ground well and when settled looked a picture standing, well presented and handled with confidence once the dog had settled.

Whitcombe’s ARKANGATH ZOLA BUD 4yo Pepper & Salt Bitch, lovely masculine boy with beautiful dark eyes with lovely arched eyebrows, he has a good stop and correct scissor bite, she has a strong muscular neck with flowing nicely into his well-placed shoulders, he has a good depth of chest and nicely ribbed back with a strong loin, correct tail set, nicely muscled throughout, he has the correct harsh coat texture so typical of this breed, nicely muscled throughout with good front and rear angulation, he covered the ground well keeping a level topline as he moved around the ring, he has such lovely movement I loved his confidence as he moved around the ring keeping a level topline, he was well presented and expertly handled BOB

Wylie Sylvester’s POSHDELIGHTS AFTER EIGHT FOR ARCANEON, 2yo Black Dog, Another quality dog with lovely dark eyes, good stop with correct scissor bite, he has a good length of neck into well laid shoulders, adequate depth of chest and good spring of rib with a short strong loin, correct high tailset, nicely muscled throughout, he covered the ground well keeping a level topline on the move, well presented and professionally handled.

Longstaff’s CARLITA’S PASSION TO LOVE AT SHIHMALI 7mths Gold & White Bitch, what a beautiful stunning puppy she just wanted to please, and cover me with kisses! she was a delight to go over and certainly made me smile, she has the most beautiful dark round eyes, with a good stop and correct bite, she has a lovely arched neck flowing into well placed shoulders, she has an excellent abundance of coat of correct texture for her age a credit to her owner, she is nicely muscled throughout, she moved around the ring with such confidence, and kept a level topline as she coved the show ring with a beautiful , expertly presented and handled to perfection, I see a good future ahead of this young lady I was delighted to award her BP & PUPPY GROUP 2

Moore’s CH UNSTOPPABLE ALPIU SLEMIS TO JAXTU JW ShCEx OSW (IMP LTU), 2yo Gold & White Dog, he has the most adorable dark round eyes, with a lovely masculine head of correct proportions giving that distinctive chrysanthemum like effect so typical of this breed, he has a short square muzzle with correct bite and good stop, he has a superb arched neck which flows into well placed shoulders, he has a good depth of chest and nicely ribbed back with a short strong loin, correct high tail set with a beautiful plume which he carried gaily over his back, this boy has an amazing abundance of coat of correct texture an absolute credit to his owner, he is nicely muscled throughout, I have always admired this dog from the ring side and to go over him today I was not disappointed he certainly showed his socks off as he always does, I was so pleased to award him top honours, BOB & GROUP 1

1. Butterfield’s OLDCHARM LOVE ME DO CHEQUERPEI, 6mths Gold Sable & Black Mask Dog, what a confident cheeky youngster! He certainly knew how to make me smile, he has the most adorable dark eyes full of mischief, correct bite with an adequate stop, he has a strong neck which flows into well placed shoulders he has good depth of chest for his age and nicely ribbed back with strong loin, correct tailset with a lovely plume which he carried nicely over his back, he has small neat hare feet ,he was such a character moving around the ring with such confidence as if to say “look at me I’m here” he certainly showed his socks off and I can see a good show career ahead of him, expertly handled and well-presented, I was pleased to award him BOB & BP & PUPPY GROUP 4

2. Lowe’s RICHEARON THAT’S EASY, 21mths Gold Bitch, she has beautiful dark eyes, with an adequate stop, correct bite, lovely neck flowing into well placed shoulders, she has a good depth of chest with a good spring of rib with a strong loin, correct tailset with lovely plume which she carried well over her back on the move, nicely muscled throughout she covered the ground well keeping a level topline on the move, well presented and professionally handled.

Knox’s WYLDETTE LILITH NEVER EVE, Shar Pei, 15mths Red Bitch, I judged this young lady at another show a few weeks previous, she has such a beautiful expressive face with lovely dark eyes, good stop, moderate wrinkle, small thick ears, correct bite, she has a lovely coat of correct texture, good depth of chest, well ribbed back with short loin, correct tailset with good curl, nicely muscled throughout, she is still very cheeky and lively doing things her way, but I just loved her character she moved around the ring with a positive drive, keeping a level topline on the move, well-presented and handled to perfection. Hunt & Oliver’s MOSSPARK BLUE SPANGLE VW, Chow Chow, 9yo Blue Bitch, Absolutely loved this girl, she definitely wanted to please and I wasn’t disappointed and especially for her age, she has the most beautiful endearing dark eyes, good stop and correct scissor bite, she has a strong muscular neck that flowed nicely into her well placed shoulders, good depth of chest with nicely sprung ribs, she has a short strong loin with correct high tailset, which she carried nicely over her back, she has a beautiful profuse dense coat of correct texture, she is nicely muscled throughout, she has beautiful small round cat-like feet standing well up on her toes, she moved around the ring with that pendulum like action so typical of this breed, keeping a topline on the move, superbly presented and professionally handled to perfection, I was pleased to award her BAV UTILITY VETERAN

Whitcombe’s PAIGETURNER LILY THE PINK, Miniature Schnauzer, 7yo Black Bitch, another stunning veteran with beautiful dark eyes, with beautiful bushy eyebrows, she has a good stop and a correct scissor bite, she has a lovely slender neck which flows nicely into well laid shoulders, she has good depth of chest with a good spring of rib, she has a short strong loin and correct tail set, she is nicely muscled throughout, with correct harsh coat texture, she covered the ground well keeping a level topline on the move and was a picture standing, well-presented and expertly handled.

She has an abundance of coat of correct texture, and is nicely muscled throughout she has good front and rear angulation, it was pleasing to see her stride out with purpose and with a good reach and strong drive with free-flowing movement and keeping a level topline on the move, expertly handled and well presented.
