My thanks to the Committee for the invitation to judge at this prestigious show and to the exhibitors for the pleasure of assessing your lovely dogs. I am grateful to my very helpful and efficient stewards who kept the ring running smoothly at all times. VD/B (3 1Ab) 1st Toms Ir. Ch. Ir. Sh Ch Int.Sh.Ch. Toberbilly I Wish You Luck Vet. Ch, CVW 26, Jun. Ch, JD, Cen W., CW23; This mature dog was shown in full rich chestnut coat, very handsome and refined in looks. A pleasing head of parallel lines, nice shape and size of dark eye. Ample length of neck flowing into a well-laid-back shoulder. Well-balanced body with plenty of depth of rib cage, which flows well back. Gentle sloping topline, Good width across back end. He moved freely, showing use of his hindquarters. BV. 2nd - Coleman’s Devacott Rose Creek At Camaling; She has lovely front construction with good bone and nice feet. Pretty head, in terms of planes, an appealing amount of chiselling, and her dark eye combined to give her an intelligent expression. Straight forelegs with sufficient oval bone. Good depth of chest and well-sprung ribs, that are carried well back. Wide over croup and thigh. She did not exhibit the same driving movement as the first. BPD/B (0) MPD/B (3) 1st Murchison’s Corcencone Come Home To Corphin; 1st show for these well-behaved sibling babies. At 6 months, they still have a lot of growing to do. He has a well-proportioned head, with raised brows and dark eyes. Clean neck of good proportion to body that flowed into well-set shoulders. Good front assembly with sufficient depth of chest. Ribs well sprung. Nice width over croup. Good tail set, and he carried it well when he settled on the move. 2nd Vallance’s Corencone She’s A Star ; clearly, many comments said before apply to this litter sister. She has a sweet, gentle expression, clean neck, good topline and pleasing outline. Lovely oval bone and tight feet. Lovely rich chestnut coat. She needs to settle on the move but practice makes perfect. BBP 3rd Vallance’s Corencone Is This Love. PD/B (2) 1st Vallance’s Corcencone Oh My Heart; This dog is a lovely shape when viewed in side profile. He has a sufficiently long and lean head with plenty of brain room. Good amount of work and good stop. Dark eyes set under brows, showing a kind expression. Good length of clean neck that flows into well-laid shoulders. Nice front and rear assembly with good length of upper arm and plenty of bone. Sufficient depth of chest and spring of rib. Top line gently slopes downwards to good tail set. Good coat colour. He outshone his siblings in movement and good coordination. BDP, BP. 2nd Murchison’s Corencone Come Home To Corphin. JD (1) 1st Donnelly’s Glendruid Tangled Up in Blue; 13-month-old dog of substance without exaggeration. Streamlined body proportions giving an elegant appearance. Lovely, soft expression from dark eyes that just draw you in. His head is of good proportions. Deep and capacious body with well-sprung ribs, well-angulated shoulders and good sweep of stifle. Strong bone and good, tight feet. Muscled topline. He used his well-muscled hindquarters to move soundly, carrying his tail level with his back. YD (0) GD (3) 1st Clarke’s Riverbrue Gives You Hell; This young dog is full of quality, very graceful and refined in looks. Nicely balanced throughout. His head is long and lean, with a lovely expression from dark almond-shaped eyes that sit under raised eyebrows. Sufficient chiselling enhanced his expression. Moderate length of clean neck. Well-laid-back shoulder, straight forelegs and plenty of oval bone. Nicely arched feet. Deep chest, well-sprung ribs that were carried well back. Wide hindquarters . He carried his topline well on the move. Good rich chestnut coat that was gleaming. I just would have preferred more free-flowing movement in the challenge. 2nd Murray’s Quensha I Know Him So Well; A very nice outline in stack. A slightly stronger boy in head and body than 1st placed. He has a good balance of head proportions, with a lovely, attentive, intelligent expression. Good length of clean neck laid well into shoulders that slope well back. Strong bone, but I would prefer tighter feet. His body is deep with well-sprung ribs. Sufficient muscling on hindquarters. Good topline to well-set tail. He moved well, but I would like to see more reach at the front. 3rd MacFarlane’s Harelferg MacFarlane For Umfrido. PGD (1) 1st Murray’s Henaleas Maximilian With Derrydore JW; A rangy boy with good bone; nice arched feet and good deep richness to his coat. His eyes, of the correct shape, exude both refinement and style, good amount of work to his foreface, and good stop. Sufficient neck length, good angulation at the front with good length of upper arm. Plenty of oval bone and nice tight feet. Nice depth of chest, giving plenty of lung room, with ribs well sprung and carried well back to a muscled loin, and good width to the back end. His topline flowed gently to his tail set. Moved well from all angles, using his hind angulation and well muscled thighs to exhibit both happy, sound and free-flowing action. A pleasure to award him DB and BIS. LD (4;2Ab) A good class with quality exhibits. 1st McKelvey’s Allardus Of The Victorious Pure At Edenaveys (Imp Nel); A well-balanced dog throughout with nothing exaggerated. His head is very pleasing, with a nice, lovely, soft expression from dark, bright eyes that are set below raised eyebrows, enhancing his expression. A strong front with good length of upper arm and a depth of chest that dropped nicely below the elbow. Good tuck-up and well-muscled hindquarters. Nice topline that flowed well into a good tail set. He moved well with a flowing action, carrying his tail well. 2nd MacFarlane’s Harelferg New Tricks For Umfrido Shcex.;This dog comes from a slightly different mould to the 1st place. Nevertheless, he has a well-balanced head with correctly shaped and coloured eyes. Long length of neck that was set cleanly into the shoulders. Would prefer a longer upper-arm. Good bone. Nice topline. Good spring of rib carried well back. Good angulation of hindquarters. Carries a full, flowing, rich coat. Unfortunately, he did not demonstrate the same reach at the front as others. OD (4) 1st Graham’s Gwendariff Not On Your Nellie; 2-and-a-half-year-old boy with a nice outline in stance and on the move. Streamlined and elegant. Good head proportions, long and lean. Eyes of good colour and size, and good ear placement. Clean, muscled neck that flows into well-laid shoulders. Well-constructed front and good angulation front and rear. Ribs are well sprung and of good length. Good length of loin. Muscular topline. Nice angulation of hindquarters, which were well muscled. Powerful hind movement. RBD 2nd Walsh’s Gwendariff Wambam Thanku Mam Jun. Ch. JD.; A dog that is very pleasing to the eye, particularly in overall balance and head proportions. A clean, lean head with nicely shaped, dark eyes. He carries a good length of arched neck. Straight front with plenty of bone and nice, tight, arched feet. Well sprung ribs that are carried well back. Good length of loin. Required front and rear angulation. A flat, rich chestnut coat. On the day, his movement could have been more free-flowing and showing more powerful drive from behind. 3rd Donnelly’s Int. & Ir Sh Ch Forfarian Mind Yer Manners; 4th Hughes Brabrook Golden JB(2) 1st Donnelly’s Glendruid Careless Whisper; A rangy girl in a coat of rich chestnut with silky feathering adding to her natural elegance. A pretty head and expression with sufficient chiselling around the eyes and in the foreface. Good neck length. Straight front construction with good angulation and well-boned. Good slope on backline. Plenty of width across back end and thighs. Moved well. 2nd Davies;Zimbra Della Magna Sila At Lochfrae (Imp Ita); A smaller girl with pretty head and soft feminine features. Very nice shape of head, which was long and lean.Straight front. Would prefer stronger bone and greater depth of chest. Ribs well sprung and carried well back. Topline gently sloping to tail set. Well-toned muscle and moved well. YB (2) 1st McCleave, McLeave & Crowe’s Gwendariff Victoria Plum; Long and lean with good length of muzzle. Dark eyes set under brows that enhanced her intelligent expression. Good reach of neck flowing into well-set shoulders. Straight front, good angulation front and rear. Plenty of bone and nice, tight feet. Coat of good rich chestnut colour. Good slope to topline, good width across rear quarters. I would have preferred to see her move with more flow and power from the rear. 2nd Davies Zimbra Della Magna Sila At Lochfrae (Imp It) GB (1) 1st Murchison’s Harelferg Penny Lane Via Corphin; Although she stood alone, she is worthy class winner. Very feminine in appearance, sleek and racy. Good balance throughout. Very well defined detail in foreface. Dark eye and low-set ears. Good front and rear angulation. Straight front, oval bone and elbows well let down. Neck of good length. Her topline gently slopes into the correct tail set. Well-muscled hindquarters, which she used to her advantage on the move. One of the best movers of the day from all angles, however, she lost her concentration in the challenge and did not move out and back with the same flowing front action and momentum of rear drive that she did in this class. PGB(2) These girls are from different moulds but are nice examples of breed type. 1st Borthwick’s Danwish Aria On Lotushill; Very pretty head and expression on this well-balanced young lady. Very nice shape of head with some lovely working around the eyes. Intelligent expression that was soft and kind. Good length of neck into a well-constructed front, good depth of chest that flowed well below the elbow. Lovely angulation and straight oval bone. Her ribs are well sprung and they are carried well back. Good slope to topline and good width across the back. Stifle is well bent and her hocks are well let down. She moved soundly, demonstrating good coordination of limbs. RBB 2nd Coleman’s Camaling Rose Royale This 5 year old girl has a pretty head with some working around the eyes and foreface. Lovely length of neck that flows into well laid back shoulders. Narrow in front with good depth of chest. Firm topline, with a gentle slope that flows into a good tail set. Good length of rib and muscular loin. Well toned muscles and moved well. Presented in good condition and finished with a good coat. LB (2 1Ab)1st Vallance’s Glencarron Second Edition To Corencone; This 4-year-old lady is feminine in appearance, sleek and racy. With nothing overpronounced, her very nice head is long and lean with correct eye shape and a good dark colour. Lovely arch and length of neck set cleanly into well-set shoulders. Forelegs are straight with plenty of bone and nice, tight feet. Her chest is deep and she has a narrow front. Good angulation both front and rear, with stifles and hocks well bent . Wide first thigh, giving good balance to her body proportions. Presented very well and carrying a lovely, rich chestnut flat coat. She moved with drive and true action when viewed from front and rear. BB RBIS OB (4) 1st Tom’s Ir. Ch. Ir. Sh. Ch. Ladysdale Maud Gonne To Shilvodan Jun. Ch. JD. Cen. JW; Not the tallest of bitches, but this 5-year-old girl is very eye-catching, especially in the stack. Nice head, with parallel planes, good length of muzzle and well-defined stop. Expressive eyes of good size, exuding kindness and intelligence. Nice arch of clean neck. Good front construction, straight bone and tight feet. Sloping topline. Good tail set. Well-muscled, with good width of rear end. She carried her tail well on the move, which was sound and free-flowing. 2nd Vallance’s Lynwood Rather Ravishing At Corcencone; An appealing girl of good size and nice body proportions. She has good chiselling around the eyes and foreface. Good ear set. Her head is full of grace, although I would prefer more length between stop and occiput. Good length of neck and balanced front and rear construction. Straight front with good bone and tight feet. Ribs are well sprung and loin is well muscled. Ample coat. She just did not use her hind muscles to propel herself on the move. 3rd Donnelly’s Int & Ir Ch & Sh. Ch. Forfarian Red Or Dead At Ballydavid; 4th Murphy’s Clannrua Fiarua;
