Thank you to the South Wales Kennel Association committee for hosting

enjoyed my day. My sincere thanks also go to my stewards, Mr and Mrs

1ST Captain Matt at Ropebbie VW (Mrs J Nicol)
Seven-year-old wheaten dog with a head of good length, dark, almond-shaped eyes and a strong
jaw with correct dentition. Moved soundly. I would have preferred a little more substance to his
body and a harsher texture to his coat.
1221. Scottish Terrier - Puppy Dog

1ST Berrybreeze Alexander of Brueik (Miss E J Bradley)
Ten-month-old black dog with a masculine head, well matured through the body, with a strong,
muscular neck and short loin. His coat was of good texture. Once settled, he moved well with
plenty of drive from behind, using his tail correctly to complete the picture.

1ST Lochgems Sole Sensation for Naviba (Miss E J Ashworth)
A powerful-looking dog, strong through the head and neck, with neat ears, a dark eye and a strong
jaw with correct dentition. His body has yet to mature to match, but he has good conformation and
a correctly set tail. Further maturity should bring greater balance to the overall picture. Presented
in excellent order and well handled.
2ND Celmareva Go The Distance at Ropebbie (Mrs J Nicol)
Two-year-old black brindle with a clean head, pleasing eye and good length of skull, matched by a
longer body. I would have preferred more spring of rib. He used his tail well and maintained his
balance on the move.

1ST Berrybreeze Tonka Bean (Miss C L Chapman)
A well-made two-year-old brindle dog with a clean skull, well-set ears and a pleasing, deep-set
eye. His good front and pleasing width of chest were particular strengths. He has ample substance
and sufficient depth of body, although his rib has yet to develop to match, which should come with
age and maturity. Once settled, he moved very well, and these qualities earned him the Reserve
CC today. A promising dog with a bright future.
2ND Berrybreeze Soul Man (Miss C & Mrs E Chapman & Tyler)
A nicely made black dog who appealed on the table and was very pleasing to go over. I would
have preferred a little more length of head. Unfortunately, he was reluctant to cooperate with his
handler on the move, although glimpses of correct movement were sufficient to earn him second
place. A lovely dog who needs to work more confidently with his handler to show himself to best
advantage.

1ST Ch Chatterdale Star Eclipse (Ms G Dixon)
A super black dog of correct breed type, whose quality readily showed why he is a champion.
Presented and handled to perfection. A long head with correctly set, erect ears on top of the skull
and a correct scissor bite. Not a big dog, but correctly made, with a good straight front, sufficient
width of chest and a well-developed forechest. Sufficient rib and quality through the neck. Powerful
hindquarters provided the drive to carry him smoothly and freely around the ring, moderation &
quality combined ,earning him the Dog CC today.
2ND Ch Berrybreeze Wisdom (Mrs L & Miss B Maidment)
A black dog and a worthy champion, presenting a pleasing outline. His head was not quite as long
as the winner’s, but he had good head planes, clean cheeks and a dark eye. Short in loin, with
further bodily maturity still to come at two years of age. I preferred the winner’s front assembly and
greater development through the body. His excellent, powerful hindquarters drove him well around
the ring. Carrying a profuse coat.
3RD Tout Nouveau Tout Beau Du Clan Des Petits Colonel Karmaristol JW Shcex (Mrs K Nixon)

1ST Tout Nouveau Tout Beau Du Clan Des Petits Colonel Karmaristol JW Shcex (Mrs K
Nixon)
A dark brindle dog of correct type, without exaggeration. Good length of head with clean lines,
although his ears were set a little low. Correct neck and shoulder placement, and moved soundly. I
would have preferred a little more quality and refinement to complete the picture.
2ND Trimscott Idris Elba (Mrs A Hughes)
A black male with good length of head and a dark eye giving a keen expression. Longer cast in
body, where I would have preferred more substance. Moved a little close behind.
3RD 2556 - Kenbloom Inky Account (Mrs J & Mr J Dawson)
1227. Scottish Terrier - Veteran Bitch

1ST Quaint Sabayon (Imp Fin) (Mrs L & Miss B Maidment)
A lovely nine-year-old veteran, full of her own self-importance and character, who has benefited
from maturity. Feminine, well-balanced head with excellent head planes, a pleasing eye giving a
keen expression and correctly set ears. Good lay of shoulder gave her quality through the neck.
Nothing overdone in her overall construction, with correct angulation and plenty of drive on the
move. Beautifully prepared and presented; no wonder she went on to win the Veteran Terrier
Group.
2ND Whistlynarra Whistling Wind of The Glen (Mr L Redfern)
Another lovely nine-year-old veteran with a sweet, feminine head, good head planes and a
delightful expression. Plenty of rib, although carrying a little more body than ideal. Well-made,
powerful hindquarters enabled her to move out with plenty of drive.
1228. Scottish Terrier - Puppy Bitch

1ST Berrybreeze Bewitched (Miss C L Chapman)
Another lovely black puppy from this kennel, with a correctly balanced head that is still developing,
a lovely dark eye, correct scissor bite and erect ears when she used them. Strong neck, good
forechest developing and a lovely straight front. Already quite mature through the body, with
sufficient substance, powerful hindquarters and a correctly set tail. She showed well and went on
to win the Terrier Puppy Group.
2ND Karmaristol Cilla (Mrs K & Mr N Nixon)
Just six months old, this baby has a lovely long head, matched by a longer body, and needs time
to mature. Her coat is coming through with the correct texture. Reluctant to move today, she would
benefit from further ringcraft practice to build her confidence and allow her to show herself to better
advantage.
1229. Scottish Terrier - Junior Bitch

1ST Funkytown Abracadabra (Mr Leon Braun)
My wow dog of the day. From the moment she entered the ring, her wonderfully arrogant
expression and the way she looked down her lengthy nose melted my heart. Dark, almond-shaped
eyes gave that correct keen, intelligent expression. The cleanest of heads, elegant and so
feminine, with large teeth, a correct scissor bite and neat, small ears. Her well-laid shoulders gave
quality through the neck. Mature through the body for her age, with a broad forechest, well-sprung
ribs carried well back, a short loin and powerful hindquarters, with plenty behind the tail. When she
moved, she commanded attention, powering around the ring of her own accord. I simply could not
take my eyes off her. It was a close decision between her and her mother for the Bitch CC, but this
girl’s movement just gave her the edge today. Best of breed
2ND Kingsview Just Matilda at Amawyn (Mr E & Mrs A E Mccracken)
A smaller black bitch with a beautiful, clean, lengthy head, well balanced throughout, and a
pleasing eye. Her ears were a little tall. Excellent forechest and well off for bone. Her coat was of
good, harsh texture, although her new jacket was still coming through; once fully grown, this
should enhance her overall presentation. It will be interesting to follow her progress as she
matures.
1230. Scottish Terrier - Post Graduate Bitch

1ST Honeypaws Isn't She Lovely Ger Jch (Mrs T & Mrs A Skudder & Caley)
An elegant black bitch who stood out in this mixed class, with a feminine head, pleasing eye and
neat ears. Good spring of rib, although I would have preferred it carried a little further back. Good
forequarters and hindquarters enabled her to move with pleasing reach and drive. A clear class
winner.
2ND Celmareva Extravaganza (Mr M L Spry)
This little lady was rather short of coat today and would benefit from a fuller jacket to show her to
best advantage. A quality head and good front with pleasing width of chest. Long and low in
outline, she appealed more overall than the others in the class.

1ST Berrybreeze Burnt Toast (Miss C L Chapman)
A larger brindle bitch, strong through the body and neck and very mature for her age. Correctly
made head with a keen expression, although I would have preferred a little more femininity. Well-
developed rib and correct angulation, with good extension in front and plenty of drive from the rear.
In the challenge, I preferred the winner’s overall balance and stronger topline, which she
maintained more consistently on the move.
2ND Stellanera High Society (Ms B Mahmoudi)
A pretty little black bitch with a pleasing head and lovely dark, almond-shaped eye. Good lay of
shoulder gave quality through the neck, with pleasing body proportions and well-developed rib. I
would have liked a little more drive and enthusiasm on the move today to show her qualities to
best advantage.

1ST De Ch Marland Deliza Jww Ger/nld/int Jch (Mr Leon Braun)
My Reserve CC winner, with a stunning headpiece, lovely neat ears and one of the best
expressions of the day. She possesses that quality through the head, neck and shoulders which I
feel is too often lacking in the breed at present. Mature through the body, with good width, ribs
carried well back, a short loin and powerful hindquarters. Used her tail well and moved freely. Her
daughter’s youthful verve just gave her the edge today, although these two could easily change
places on another occasion. The family resemblance was clear.
2ND Ch Berrybreeze She's The One (Mrs L & Miss B Maidment)
Another beautiful black bitch, unfortunate to meet the winners today. A clean head and pleasing
eye, combining elegance with a powerful neck and strong, very well-ribbed body. Deep and low,
with a correctly set tail and well-developed hindquarters. Moved out satisfactorily.

1ST Trimscott Hollyhock (Miss S Duckhouse)
A black bitch with good length of head and pleasing head planes. Powerful through the body, with
a hard coat, although I would have preferred a little more refinement through the neck and more
angulation. Well handled.
