BATH CH show 2026. Lowchen (Little Lion Dog)

PD (4,1abs)

1. Morgan-Stanley’s Golbourne Marcello. Lovely class to start with some promising youngsters here. This lad is only 6 months and already has a nicely balanced profile with a breed typical outline. Liked his head, well proportioned with a short strong muzzle and dark round eyes. Good neck and shoulders with decent front assembly, short loin, nicely angulated in the rear finishing with a well set on tail. Carried himself well on the move. BPD, promising youngster with a lovely attitude, pipped by the more mature BPB winner in the challenge for BPIB

2. Richardson’s Arfenco’s Warrior King Ivar for Hollinsclose. Another promising lad and a tough decision, just a fraction longer in the loin than the winner at the moment, but he’s  balanced in outline. Super head, muzzle in proportion to his skull, darkest of expressive eyes. Good length of neck, well laid shoulders, firm top line and nicely angulated in the rear. Shown in lovely coat and condition. Sound and active on the go around and a confident happy showman too.

3. Maguire’s Golbourne’s Valentino

1. Graham’s Ch Jameneli Back to Black. An eye catching boy who pleases for his overall size and shapely outline with a lovely flow from his neck down to his tail, he exudes confidence and showmanship. Attractive masculine head with strength and balance. Clean straight front, good bone and substance, good length of neck into well laid shoulders and firm top line, well muscled hindquarters with good bend of stifle and his plumed tail is carried over his back. Beautifully prepared coat. On the move, he powered around the ring with reach and drive with a proud head carriage all whilst maintaining his outline. Pleased to award him DCC and BOB. Good to see him placed third in a strong Toy Group.

2. Winter’s Prodigieux Darling Diamond. Another eye catching masculine lad with a shapely well balanced outline. He too had a really nice flow when going over him from his good length of neck, well laid shoulder, short loin and well set on plumed tail. Good bend of stifle with corresponding front angulation. Loved his head, well proportioned with a short strong muzzle and dark round expressive eyes with good pigmentation. He carries himself well on the move with a super profile action and confident carriage. Very well presented too. Just felt the winner had the edge today on his showmanship. Pleased to award him the RDCC.

3. Richardson’s Hollinsclose As It Was

1. Maguire’s Golbourne’s Valentino. This nicely presented lad is just 7 months old and he’s quite a raw baby at the moment with lots of growing and developing to do. His head is well shaped, with round very dark eyes, would like a touch more strength to his muzzle. Neck is of good length, short back, his ribcage is developing and has well bent stifles. Moved out confidently, a little close behind and needing to settle in front. Best Special beginners.

PB (4,1abs)

1. Dixon’s Golbourne Dazzling Diamond. This eye catching young lady is nearly 12 months old so she's almost fully grown and that showed in her movement which gave her the edge in this class. Pretty head so very feminine with strength and balance, and dark round expressive eyes. Clean straight front, good bone and substance, good length of neck into well laid shoulders, firm top line, well muscled hindquarters and her plumed tail is carried over her back giving her a typical outline. Beautifully prepared coat of correct texture. Used her good front and rear angulations to advantage and moved out with good reach and drive maintaining a lovely outline in profile. BPB, BPIB and gave a really good account of herself in the challenge to earn herself the RBCC.

2. Bicknell-Marren’s Prodigieux Lady Dogiva. This girl is a few months younger than the winner, so not quite as forward in terms of her development as yet, but gave a good account of herself and was more collected on the move than the baby standing third.  Lots to like with a nicely balanced breed typical outline. Pretty head and expression, well proportioned with round eyes and good strength to her muzzle. Clean front, ample neck into well laid shoulders and firm top line. Nicely made hindquarters and good tail carriage. Her well presented coat is developing well. Moved well on the go around, not quite the power or drive from behind of the winner as yet.

3. Morgan-Stanley’s Golbourne’s Set in Diamonds.

1. Winter’s Prodigieux Serendipity. Attractive girl with a lovely attitude, pleasing to go over with her happy temperament. Nicely balanced in outline with good bone and substance for her age. Feminine head with the darkest of brown eyes with dense pigmentation. Sound front assembly, neck of good length and she carries good bone and substance for her age, well laid shoulders and firm top line. Nicely made hindquarters topped off with a well presented coat of good texture. She moved out confidently and soundly whilst retaining her profile.

1. Patterson’s Hollinsclose The Promise for Bratilda. I liked this girl’s overall size and shapely outline. Pretty head, well proportioned, and very feminine, with round dark eyes and good strength to her muzzle all giving her a pleasing expression. Clean front, ample neck into well laid shoulders and firm top line. Muscular hindquarters topped off with a well presented coat of good texture. Moving well in all directions with good reach and strong rear action, carrying her plumed tail over her back. A confident happy show girl too. In today’s challenge for RBCC, she didn’t quite have the sass or verve of the PB winner, but she is a lovely girl.

2. Morgan-Stanley’s Golbourne Cherish The Luv. Another quality girl, who pleases for her breed typical outline, slightly smaller in frame than the winner but square and balanced. Feminine head with good breadth and relatively flat, with dark and expressive eyes, her muzzle could perhaps be a fraction longer. Decent front assembly, good length of neck, level back and correctly set well plumed tail. Nicely made hindquarter and corresponding front angulations. Moved out with good reach and drive. Well presented, just preferred the coat texture of the winner.

3. Beech’s Hollinsclose Love Story

OB (3)

1. Richardson’s Hollinsclose Love Machine. Like the DCC winner, this girl has that little bit extra sparkle today, and caught my eye as soon as she came into the ring. Pleasing for her overall size and shape and she too has a lovely flow from her nicely arched neck, well laid shoulders, firm top line, short loin and well set on tail. She has a very feminine head with good breath of skull, dark round eye expressive eyes and excellent pigmentation. Beautifully prepared coat of correct texture. Used her well matched front and rear angulations to advantage and moved out with good reach and drive maintaining a lovely outline in profile, her plumed tail carried over her back. A close run thing in the challenge for BOB, the male just having the slight edge today on his showmanship. Delighted to award her the BCC and was told afterwards that this was her third and crowning CC, (subject to RKC confirmation) Congratulations!

2. Proctor, Proctor & McGowan’s Golbourne Creme De La Creme avec Tramarllan JW. Another classy girl, slightly finer in build than the winner perhaps, with a pleasing and typy outline. Pretty head so very feminine but with the desired breadth of skull, with round dark eyes and good strength to her muzzle. Good front assembly, nicely arched neck of good length, firm top line and a short loin,  finishing with a well set on and carried tail. Moved very well in all directions with good reach and drive maintaining a pleasing outline in profile. Lovely coat presentation.

3. Bicknell-Marren’s Kerryken Ritzy
