SBD (1)

1. Hancocks & Bailey’s Rattustrap Crimes At Night JW. Two years old lad, with a pleasing outline, very well conditioned with super muscle tone, his jacket has rich tans with well defined markings, good thumb marks and pencilling. Masculine wedge shaped head, very dark almond shaped eyes giving a keen expression. Ample neck, moderately angulated front and back. Profile action was good, just needs to strengthen in front and I would like to see him drive a little more from behind. Best Special beginners.

1. Spain & Spain’s Starryedge Titan Buck. 10 month old pup, he has a lovely long, wedge shaped head and his sparkling dark eyes give him a keen and alert expression. Nice length of neck with slight crest, firm top line and well angulated throughout. Still quite immature as you would expect, needing to fill his frame a little more and body up. Shown in good coat with well defined markings, rich tans and very good thumb marks. He can stand a little awkwardly in front, and his front movement needs to settle too. His profile outline and gait was pleasing. Pipped for best puppy by the more mature puppy in the next class, but certainly developing along the right lines.

1. Bailey’s Magicus Silvestris Prins Peter Pan (imp Nor). Now when this young man first entered the ring, I had no idea that I would later be awarding him the DCC, as he can be rather unsettled on the move. I think this was because he wasn’t being moved at the correct pace in this class, as his construction suggests that he should be more than than capable of moving freely and with drive. At nearly 12 months, he is well developed with plenty of muscle tone and substance, good ribbing, with ample neck, firm top line and well carried tail. Nicely angulated fore and aft. I loved his head, wedge shaped with small dark almond shaped eyes and strong under jaw, which gives him a proper terrier keenness and his ears are set high and dropped neatly. Thumb marks and pencilling were well defined with rich tans. In the challenge he showed much better driving off from low set hocks and there was just something about him that kept drawing my eye. Happy to award him the DCC and Best Puppy in breed.

LD (2)

1. Brown & Davies’ Wystry Agony And Ecstasy JW. This mature lad is strongly made, shapely in outline with good substance, and shown in great condition with well defined markings with rich tans. Nicely balanced wedge shaped head, well placed and used ears and dark almond eyes. Long clean neck with a slight arch, with a deep brisket and his ribs are carried well back to a strong slightly arched loin. Would like a fraction more rear angulation. Moved soundly in all directions whilst holding his outline.

2. Hayllor’s Isari King Of Hearts At Starryedge. A little more finely built than the winner, but he has a clean outline and shown in great condition, with well defined markings, good thumb marks and pencilling with rich tans. Pleasing wedge shaped head, a keen alert expression and good strength to his under jaw. Ample length of neck flowing into a well held top line. Liked his depth of chest, well sprung ribs, and slight arch to his loins. On the move, he didn’t seem to have his mind on the job today, and was pacing at times. I think moving him a little faster would enable him to show off a decent stride from his well angulated rear and low set hocks.

OD (2)

1. Lomas’ Axaldarn Viking Wolf JW. Liked the size, substance and proportions of this lad with a pleasing shapely outline. Masculine wedge shaped head, his eyes could be a shade darker, his ears are set high and dropped neatly. Good length of neck with a slight arch. Well developed through the body, his brisket is well let down, with good ribbing. He has a good top line and underline and his hindquarters are well angulated. Moved steadily and soundly in all directions whilst holding his outline and low tail carriage. Well presented with rich tans and well defined markings. In today’s dog challenge, he didn’t quite have the drive from behind of the junior and veteran dog class winners.

2. Walker’s Wystry Depths Of Glory For Sizlin JW. I liked the outline of this boy and his overall substance and masculinity. Pleasing wedge shaped head with dark almond eyes giving him an alert expression, his ears were a tad wayward at times. Ample neck with slight crest, well developed through his body, brisket well let down and well angulated fore and aft. Shown in great condition with plenty of muscle tone, well defined markings with good thumb marks. His construction and well let down hocks suggest that he should be able to move true and freely, just felt his handler was rushing him a bit so he was not quite as settled on the move today, and not always holding his outline in profile.

VD (2,1abs)

1. Warner’s Ch Talanors Time For Fun Shcex ShCEx VW. Quality 7 year old lad in his prime. Liked his overall size and balanced outline, and shown in great condition with plenty of substance and muscle tone. His head appeals, very much, masculine wedge shaped, dark almond eyes showing terrier keenness, one of his ears was little wayward at times, but forgave him this on his other qualities which were are still very evident and he scored highly on the move today, sound in all directions, driving off from his low set hocks whilst holding his top line. Good length of neck with a slight arch. He is well developed through the body, his brisket is well let down, with good ribbing and he has good angulations fore and aft. Well deserved RDCC today and Best Veteran in breed.

SBB (1 )

1. Hancocks & Bailey’s Bacolibay's Shrike. Only just out of puppy and needing to gain a little more confidence particularly on the move. She has a feminine wedge shaped head and the darkest almond eyes, her ears could perhaps be a little higher set and need to settle and drop a little more. She has a clean neck which fits well into her nicely placed shoulders, well bodied for her age and she’s well angulated fore and aft. Shown in gleaming coat with rich tans and well defined thumbprints and pencilling.

PB (3,1abs)

1. Brown & Davies’ Wystry Purple Destiny. These two girls are at quite different stages of development at the moment, this one had more body and muscle tone at this stage. Feminine in outlook yet with desired strength, pleasing wedge shaped head with the darkest of eyes, giving her an alert keen expression, her ears can settle a little. She has well-laid shoulders, good depth of brisket, firm top line and a pleasing bend of stifle, all topped off with a gleaming jacket, rich tans and well defined markings. She shows freedom of movement in her side gait, at the moment , she’s just a little close behind going away. Best Puppy Bitch.

2. Hayllor’s Starryedge Mamaquilla. This girl is more finely built than the winner and more immature at the moment needing time to fill her frame a little bit more and body up. She has a decent wedge shaped head, her ears could be a little higher set and need to settle and drop. She has a nice length of neck with slight crest, firm top line and well angulated throughout. Shown in good coat with well defined markings, rich tans and very good thumb marks. Moved out steadily.

JB (3)

1. Knight & Knight’s Talanors Typical Tanzanite. Very attentive young girl who was the most collected and settled on the move which gave her the edge in this class. She has a keen expression from her dark almond eyes, well placed and set ears. I loved her feminine head showing good balance and correct wedge shape. Decent neck and shoulders, still needing to fill her frame, a bit more, but she has a nice spring to her ribcage, showing a good cut up behind the ribs. Thighs are of a good width with good muscle tone, and well angulated rear to complement her front angulations. In great coat with well defined thumb marks and rich tans. On the go around she has a pleasing side gait showing reach and drive, one to watch as she grows on and develops.

2. Brown & Davies’ Wystry Purple Destiny. See puppy notes, not quite as coordinated as the winner on the move and ears not as settled yet, but she’s still young yet.

3. Hancocks & Bailey’s Bacolibay's Shrike.

LB (1)

1. Knight & Knight’s Talanors True Magic. Not long out of puppy, so she as you would expect still needs to fill out a bit more and also gain more confidence on the move although she did have a very nice profile on the stack. Lovely feminine wedge shaped head, flat skull, and the darkest of eyes, and high set ears which can drop a little more. Decent length of neck with a slight arch. Her body is developing well and her brisket is quite well let down, with a nice amount of spring to her ribcage. Her hindquarters have a good bend to the stifle. Shown in great coat with rich tans and well defined thumb marks. In the challenge, just felt that she didn’t quite have the drive or balance on the move as the older more mature girls in the open class, but time is on her side as she is a promising young lady.

OB (4)

1. Walshaw & Walshaw’s Ch Kentwone Lyra At Janmark JW. This girl stood out for me in the entry today, she clearly has a great rapport with her handler who knows how to get out the best in her in the show ring. Compactly and strongly built, she’s all terrier in outlook and gives a very clear impression of being fit for function. I can imagine her turning on a sixpence and dispatching a rat with ease. I liked her profile, she’s curvy, elegant, and very feminine. Loved her feminine wedge shaped head, well placed and used ears, dark almond eyes and strong under jaw all giving a keen expression. Long clean neck with a slight arch, strength through the body, with a deep brisket and ribs carried well back to a strong slightly arched loin. Strong and muscular hindquarters. On the move, she moves true and freely in all directions. No hesitation in awarding her the BCC and BOB today.

2. Forshaw & Forshaw’s Jandor Moonlight Melody. Another quality girl, similar size to the winner, a fraction heavier in her body. She has a shapely outline on the stack with a balanced feminine head, showing the desired wedge shape, well filled in under the eyes, and the darkest of eyes giving a keen alert expression. Her ears were a little wayward at times today which I forgave today due to her other qualities. I liked her long elegant neck with the slight arch, her brisket is down to the elbow and she has a nice spring to the ribcage, showing a good cut up behind the ribs. Strong and muscular hindquarters with a good bend of stifle. Shown in great condition and coat with rich tans with well defined markings and clear thumb marks. Clean, sound movement on the go around. Pleased to award her the RBCC.

3. West’s Junetta Fenetta.

VB (2)

1. Brown & Davies’ Ch Digelsa Dark Indulgence At Wystry JW ShCEx OSW. Both these girls were 7 years old and a great credit to their owners. I thought the winner just had the slightly better movement and ear carriage. On the stack, she has a shapely profile, curvy, elegant, and clearly feminine. Pleasing wedge shaped head, well placed and used ears, dark almond eyes with a keen expression. I liked her long clean neck with a slight arch, she still has strength through the body, with a deep brisket and ribs carried well back to a strong slightly arched loin and well muscled hindquarters. Shown in great condition and whilst her tans are starting to fade, she has clearly defined markings and very good thumb marks. In today’s challenge for best veteran in breed, I just felt she didn’t quite have the drive from behind of the veteran dog, but a close run contest.

2. Rudd’s Digelsa Dark Velvet ShCEx VW. Similar size girl to the winner just a touch heavier in the body but she’s still quite shapely in profile. She has a balanced head, showing the desired wedge shape, well filled in under the eyes which are very dark eyes, with a bright alert expression, her ears were a little wayward today. Ample neck into well laid shoulders, she has strength through the body, with a deep brisket and her ribs are carried well back to a strong slightly arched loin. Shown in great coat with well defined thumb marks. Not quite as settled on the move as the winner today.
