Bannerdown Junior Stakes (Day 3)-   JD/B Utility /Terrier

1. Johnstone’s Clover Supernova Over Rouxboos (Imp USA) SCWT. This young lady headed up a quality class, scoring well here on her movement, free and confident with a particularly good side gait. Attractive feminine well proportioned head, with kind hazel eyes. Her neck flows cleanly into well-laid shoulders, good front assembly and pleasing balanced outline all topped off with a wavy well coloured coat.

2. Drake’s Travella Stride Out. WFT. Eye catching youngster presented in immaculate coat and condition. Very pleasing for overall breed type, his head has good length with an almost flat skull. Dark eyes full of terrier keenness with neat well placed ears. His neck flows into a clean front assembly with plenty in rib. He is short in back ending in a high set tail with plenty behind. It was a close call today, just felt the winner was a little more accurate on the move going away, but he does have a very good side gait.

3. Jackson’s Rhicullen Blue Knight JW. Bedlington Terrier

Higham Press Veteran Stakes (Day 3)  VD/B Utility/Terrier. A cracking class and not surprised to later learn that all class places were awarded to very worthy champions, all fit, healthy and still enjoying their showing. A tough class in the nicest way!

1. Sanderson’s Ch Esgia Highland Laddie VW. Skye Terrier. I judged this very attractive mature lad at the beginning of this year and rather like a fine wine, he just seems to be getting better with age and is probably in his prime now. He has a breed typical profile, with a masculine head, excellent well fringed prick ears which he used to advantage. His neck is well set into his shoulders, strong top line which he held on the move. Shown in great coat and body condition. Won this class on his free flowing and accurate movement, whilst carrying his tail correctly.

2. Tobijanski’s Ch Janski Bugurovski VW Cesky Terrier. Another great ambassador for his breed, put down in pristine coat and super body condition. Well balanced head of good length, dark eyes and strong under jaw. Clean front assembly, with well laid shoulders leading to correct top line with strong loin and muscular hindquarters. His super construction and muscular condition enabled him to move really well with reach and drive from behind.

3. Jackson & Minshall’s Ch Perrymere Just Bertie JW VW. German Spitz (Klein)
