Bath C.S. Championship Show 2026

Dorwest Junior Stakes

I extend my sincere thanks to Malcolm Trevis who stewarded each day for me so efficiently.

Day 1

A good class.

1st Place

79 - Enjanicka Toscana Ocio, Breed: Bolognese (Mrs J Towers). Very good quality coat presented in perfect condition. Black pigmentation. Attractive head and expression. Absolutely square in outline and very unexaggerated. Shows and moves to best advantage. He should have a bright future ahead of him.

2nd Place

1254 - Kinsridge Dark Moon, Breed: Norfolk Terrier (Miss D Jenkins). Another star in the making but today, he was just feeling the heat a little. Broad skull and well-placed ears. Dark, expressive eyes. Well laid shoulders; strong compact body. Hard, dense jacket and moved out with some drive from the rear.

3rd Place

1407 - Eblanahalls Gold Fascinus, Breed: Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier (Mrs L N Lui)

Day 2

1st Place

2047 - Corotine Velvet Tuxedo, Breed: Pointer (Miss M & Mr R Saunders & Newton). This smart, graceful dog presents a lovely outline when stacked and did not disappoint on the move. Masculine, handsome head with slight dish. Lond clean neck and good shoulders. Good depth of brisket. Nicely arched, well padded feet.

2nd Place

2906 - Merchinetes Taliesin at Typica, Breed: Spaniel (Welsh Springer) (Mrs J M Rees). Mature for age and shown in excellent condition. Grand head with well-shaped ears. Good forehand with decent bone. Good spring of rib and strong, well-muscled hindquarters.

3rd Place

2624 - Vanitonia Smart Move, Breed: Spaniel (Clumber) (Mrs T Vallance)

Day 3

1st Place

4040 - Sannah Callisto, Breed: German Shepherd Dog (Miss T Fisher). I judged this lovely young bitch just a couple of months ago at an Open show. In my critique then, I wrote: “I admit to being quite taken with this youngster. Unexaggerated and well balanced with good height to length ratio. Clean head with lovely dark eyes. Good forehand, well defined withers. Good depth of chest. Naturally, stands well. Moved soundly with a good side gait but she needed more room and I would like to see her outside or in a bigger ring. Truly excellent temperament.” Here on grass, she had the opportunity to really get into her stride and she did impress me. Still just a puppy, I hope she has a good future ahead of her.

2nd Place

4238 - Artsam Bring The Moon, Breed: Samoyed (Ms E & Mrs M Hunt & Honey). Really smart with a flat skull, good ears and the best of pigment. Good forehand with decent bone and very typical feet. Shown in good coat and was most impressive on the move.

3rd Place

3965 - Serenlas Dream Maker, Breed: Collie (Rough) (Mr J & Mr A Ransome)

Day 4

1st Place

5480 - Here We Go Again at Swanwite JW, Breed: Basenji (Mrs I Legget). A high quality, tricolour bitch. Refined and elegant with plenty of leg length. Well-proportioned head with dark, almond eyes. Nicely arched neck and short, sturdy body with good spring of rib. Free moving with a very easy stride.

2nd Place

4597 - Charids Queen of Hearts, Breed: Chow Chow (Miss C Spanias). I admired the make and shape of this bitch. She coped really well with the intense heat. Flat, broad skull with neat, well-placed ears. Clean eyes. Good bone, legs and feet. Well ribbed body. Very typical, slightly stilted action.

3rd Place

5601 - Madika Shine On JW, Breed: Beagle (Mrs S Arden)
