LEEDS CHAMPIONSHIP DOG SHOW 2026 PHARAOH HOUND It saddens me to see the decline in interest in this lovely, ancient breed and I find this hard to understand. Yes, they are athletic and active but having lived with the breed for well over a decade, I know they are great companions, affectionate, clean and easy to train. Just three bitches present today but I was happy to award both the Challenge Certificate and the Reserve CC. BEST OF BREED : 2007 ASHBY, Ms Y & CAPPELAERE, Ms M & SAMWAYS, Ms C Kurriera Krystal Amethyst VW Bitch CC : 2007 ASHBY, Ms Y & CAPPELAERE, Ms M & SAMWAYS, Ms C Kurriera Krystal Amethyst VW Res Bitch CC : 2006 ASHBY, Ms Y Regina Alessandra Best Veteran : 2007 ASHBY, Ms Y & CAPPELAERE, Ms M & SAMWAYS, Ms C Kurriera Krystal Amethyst VW Class 810 PGB (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 2008 LLOYD, Mrs Nanette & LLOYD, MR P.R Doucai's Fontana Of Athanasius. Feminine and she presents a really typical outline when standing with her well carried ears and good length of neck. Decent shoulders, could have more depth of brisket. Flowing profile action just a shade close going away from me. Class 811 LB (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 2006 ASHBY, Ms Y Regina Alessandra. Good head planes and well-set ears. Pleasing, alert expression. Clean, slightly arched neck and well-laid shoulders. Decent depth of brisket with moderate cut-up. Moved with an easy, fluid action. Reserve CC. Class 813 VB (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 2007 ASHBY, Ms Y & CAPPELAERE, Ms M & SAMWAYS, Ms C Kurriera Krystal Amethyst VW. CC & BOB. I gather this win gave her title today so many congratulations. She is very nicely balanced and moderate in all respects. In excellent physical condition for 9 years of age. Good length of head with parallel planes and good-sized ears. Pleasing forehand with good pasterns. Well ribbed with good topline and slightly sloping croup. Moved out well with an easy, fluid gait. Judge: Tom Mather
