PGD (2,0)

1. Stephenson’s Kamgaard Kyffin for Brawdor. 19 mth who is obviously far from mature but with lots to like and was very good hands on. He presented a pleasing outline with moderate length of neck, short back with firm topline, brisket reaches the elbows, ribbing extends well back, short muscular loin, good croup and curled tail set on high. Appealing head and expression with pleasing breadth between his well set ears, first class eyes, good stop, muzzle of correct length to balance and scissor bite. I liked his angles both front and rear, he stands true in front on excellent feet and he is well developed in forechest. Gaiting freely on the down and back with good carriage. CC & BOB.

2. McPeake’s Laakso Joulu. This 2 yr old is very different to the winner. He has enough neck, very short backed with firm topline, good depth to chest, short well-muscled loin, good croup and curled tail set on well. Masculine head with good skull to muzzle proportions, dark expressive eyes, ears set on high and scissor bite. He stands on good feet but is not so good in forechest as winner. Moving ok when viewed in profile but winner had the edge coming towards. Good quality coat.

LD (2,1)

1. McPeake’s Treskha Tork. Hefty 5 yr old lad carrying plenty of bone. Muscular neck, short back with firm straight topline, brisket reaches the elbows, well ribbed up, short in the couplings and curled tail set on high. Pleasing head proportions with characteristic wedge-shape and masculine expression; dark eyes of correct shape, ears set on well and scissor bite. He stands a little untidy in front but has good feet. On the move, he goes pretty well on the go around but is a little closer going away. Coat of good texture.

OD (3,1)

1. McMahon’s Ir Ch Seasara High Flyer. Upstanding 5 yr old who has plenty to like. He has a very good neck, deep brisket, good length of leg to balance, firm backline, pleasing rib, nice short loin and curled tail set on high. Masculine headpiece with pleasing breadth to skull, ears set on high, eyes of good colour but a touch rounder, muzzle of correct length to balance and scissor bite. He stands well in front and has very good feet and on the move he carries himself well and pleased all through. Good coat. Very well handled.

2. Hennessey’s Laakso Esko at Elskerdeg. 6 yr old who is very different to the winner and out of a smaller mould. He presented a square outline with good length of neck, short back with firm topline, good depth to chest, pleasing rib and curled tail set on well. Balanced headpiece with breadth to skull between his well set ears, dark eyes although a little rounder than preferred and correct dentition. He stands on very good feet and on the move he went pretty well on the down and back but could have opened up more when viewed in profile. Good coat qualities.

1. McPeake’s Laakso Joulu. Went much better here when handled by his owner. Best Special Beginner.

GCD (1,0)

1. Gold’s Ch Graythor at The Venetian with Llassah. Powerful 5 yr old carrying good bone who is all male. Compact in outline with strong neck of medium length, short firm back, well sprung ribs, brisket reaching the elbows, short muscular loin and curled tail set on nice and high. Masculine headpiece with good skull to muzzle proportions, pleasing breadth to skull between his well set ears, dark expressive eyes of correct shape and scissor bite. He has good angulation both front and rear, stands true in front on pretty good feet and also pleased in forechest. On the move he has a good length of stride on the go around, is accurate coming towards but a touch closer going away. Good quality coat. Well handled to take the RCC.

1. Tress’ Treskha Veuve Clicquot. Three quite different pups challenged here with this 8 mth old coming out on top. She presented a pleasing outline with moderate length of neck, short back with firm topline, ribbing carried well back but obviously still to fully develop, nice short loin and curled tail set on high. Feminine head with good skull to muzzle proportions, dark expressive eyes, ears set on well and correct dentition. Standing on excellent feet, she has pleasing angles front and rear and on the move, opened up well on the go around with confident carriage. Best Puppy.

2. Mortimer’s Laakso Lumi. 9 mth old who was close up to the winner here and she pleased hands on. Medium length of neck, short back but topline to settle, ribcage of good length, short in the couplings and curled tail set on well. Quality head and expression, full of femininity, excellent eye and ear, good skull to muzzle ratio and correct dentition. Carrying good bone, she stands nice and straight in front and elbows are held close to the chest. Moving freely coming and going but winner had the edge on the go around. Good coat.

3. McMahon’s Seasara Kerfuffle

JB (3,2)

1. Maun’s Bowerhinton Ball of Fire. 15 mth old who is feminine all through. Neck of correct length, pleasing topline, rib developing as it should for age, ok for croup and tail set but tail is carried well. Nicely proportioned head with ears set on as they should be, expressive eyes of good colour and correct dentition but head still to finish. Pleasing front assembly, elbows close to the body, straight forelegs and standing on good feet. Gaiting freely fore and aft and goes pretty well on the go around but handler couldn’t quite keep up with her.

LB (2,0)

1. Mortimer’s Laakso Julaften. The two girls in this class really are like chalk and cheese. This 2 yr old came out on top and for me, she was the better hands on. Moderate length of neck, firm straight back, brisket reaches the elbows and well sprung ribbing, nice and short in the loin and curled tail set on high. Feminine head with good skull to muzzle proportions, pleasing breadth to skull between her well set ears, eyes ok for shape and colour and correct dentition. Carrying good bone she is correctly angulated front and rear and she stands well naturally in front on well arched feet. Moving freely all through and well handled here. Good quality coat. RCC.

2. Simmonds & Mott’s Kamgaard Kariad. 19 mth old who is certainly a livewire but has a lot of maturing to do. She has a good length of neck, shorter backed than the winner with firm topline, ribbing extends well back, short in the couplings and curled tail set on high, however she really does need to develop in forechest. Attractive head which is well proportioned, ears are set on well, dark expressive eyes, correct stop and good dentition. She stands on very good feet and when gaiting, she pleased on the go around and when going away but winner had the edge coming towards. Preferred coat of winner.

OB (2,1)

1. Tyson’s Ch Bowerhinton Bright Flame at Starceylon JW. 2 yr old who is full of quality and was presented here in firm muscular condition and handled to perfection. Powerful neck of correct length to balance, firm through the topline, chest of good depth, excellent ribbing, short muscular loin and curled tail set on high. Quality head which is well proportioned and with a super expression; excellent eye and ear, pleasing breadth to her slightly arched skull and correct stop. She is soundly constructed all through, stands nice and straight in front on such good feet and is well developed in forechest. Moving freely coming and going and she also pleased on the go around. Good quality coat. CC.

VB (1,0)

1. Hennessey’s Bowerhinton Bombette VW. This 10 yr old presented a lovely outline with such a good neck, short back with firm level topline, brisket reaches the elbows, ribbing extends well back and ribs are well curved, short well-muscled loin and curled tail set on high. Feminine headpiece with pleasing breadth to skull, ears of correct size and set, eyes of good colour but a little rounder which is probably due to age, muzzle proportionate in length to that of skull and correct dentition. Pleasing angulation front and rear, elbows close to the chest, straight forelegs and very good feet. She is a little closer behind when gaiting but went well on the go around. Well handled. Best Veteran. Pleased to see she later went Veteran Group 3.

GCB (1,0)

1. Gold’s Ravenheim Blue Mystique of Llassah. 13 mth old who left her wardrobe at home, which of course happens. Upstanding girl who is far from maturity but she was pleasing hands on. Muscular neck of correct length to balance, firm backline, ribbing carried well back, nice and short in the couplings and curled tail set on well. Nicely proportioned head with feminine expression; ears set on just right, dark eyes and excellent dentition. She stands well naturally in front on good feet but needs to fill out. Pleasing action all through. Good colour.
