PGD (2,1)

1. Walker & Krzyszkowski’s King Sombra. 2 yr old who pleased for overall type and outline. Moderate length of neck, correct length to height proportions, ribbing well sprung, could be touch firmer in croup but tail of good carriage. Balanced headpiece with dark expressive almond-shaped eyes of good size, slightly rounded skull, moderate stop, clean through the cheeks and excellent dentition. Very good forequarters with shoulders well laid and nice straight forelegs. Moving very well on the go around with good carriage. Just a tad closer going away.

1. Walker’s Big Mcintosh JW. 2 yr old who I see is the littermate of the previous class winner. This boy is excellent hands on given his correct construction. He presents a balanced outline with correct length of neck, firm through the backline, ribcage of good length, firm croup and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Super head and expression with good skull to muzzle proportions, dark almond-shaped eyes, ears set on just right, moderate stop, flat cheeks and scissor bite. I liked his angles front and rear and he stands well naturally in front. Sound on the move and uses himself to advantage. RCC.

2. Holliday’s Pandaprint Fantasy. Coming up to 3 yrs, this boy also pleased although he’s quite different to the winner. Sturdy and with a touch more length to body. Neck of correct length, not quite as good in topline as 1, ribbing well sprung, firm loin and tail set on high and carried over the back. Most attractive head which is well proportioned, skull slightly rounded, correct eye and ear, moderate stop, flat cheeks, dark pigmentation and correct dentition. Moving freely on the go around and nice and firm when going away but winner just had the edge when coming towards.

1. Cheshire’s Ch Dalton Hera from Hearmean (Imp Nld). 2 yr old who is full of quality, sturdy as desired and a delight to go over. All male, yet not coarse in any way, and presenting such a good outline with neck of moderate length, firm backline, excellent ribbing, firm loin and high set tail of correct carriage. Well proportioned head with slightly rounded skull, expressive almond-shaped eyes of good size and colour, ears set on just right, flat cheeks and scissor bite; all features combing to give the distinctive expression of the breed. First class front assembly with well laid shoulders, good forechest, elbows close to the body and straight forelegs. Moving soundly all through with good carriage but just could have gaited with a touch more verve. Excellent coat and presentation. CC.

2. Gunn’s Newtonwood Crazy for Love to Harvahope. 5 yr old who also has lots to like. Sturdily built and with medium bone. Pretty good neck, firm topline, ribbing well sprung and high set tail of good carriage. Nicely proportioned head with nice dark eyes, ears of correct set and clean through the cheeks but overall preferred expression of winner. Pleasing angulation both ends but not quite flow through the upper arm and elbows as 1, however he moved out well when viewed in profile and is true when going away. Good coat.

1. Gunn’s Ch Janabear Dance O'the Knights. Two quite different dogs challenged in this class with my winner found in this 8 yr old. Correct for type, he presented a nicely balanced outline with neck of medium length, firm level topline, good length to ribcage and well feathered tail set on high and of good carriage. Balanced headpiece with masculine expression; almond-shaped eyes of good size and colour, ears of correct set, flat cheeks and good dentition. On the move, he was parallel coming and going and also pleased on the go around. Good coat. Best Veteran.

2. Holliday’s Pandaprint Casanova. Sturdy 7 yr old with plenty of coat. Neck of moderate length, firm backline but a touch more length of body that that of 1, ribs well sprung and tail set on well and of good carriage. Quality head with slightly rounded skull, medium stop, expressive almond-shaped eyes of good colour and size, flat cheeks and excellent pigmentation. Pleasing angles front and rear and moving well when viewed in profile, true when going away but not quite front action of winner.

1. Cooper’s Elperrito Bright Light. 2 yr old who was well handled here. Totally feminine, yet sturdy as required and presented with good muscle-tone. Neck of sufficient length, level topline, ribcage of good length and ribs well sprung, firm loin and tail set on high and of good carriage. Attractive head with good skull to muzzle proportions, ears set on as they should be, excellent eye, clean through the cheeks and scissor bite. She has good angles both ends and when gaiting she is accurate on the down and back.

2. Gunn’s Pinkie Pie for Harvahope. 2 yr old who couldn’t be more different to the winner and obviously loves life, giving her handler a hard time such was her exuberance! A ‘scopey’ girl with more neck and also more length of leg, firm level backline, ribbing carried well back and high set tail which is well feathered and of good carriage. Balanced headpiece with slightly rounded skull, medium stop, expressive eyes of good shape and colour, ears set on just right, flat cheeks and correct dentition. Moves well in profile when settled but winner had the edge to and fro.

1. Young’s Newpark Alice in Wonderland. 2 yr old who was handled to advantage here and for me, the best hands on in the class. Feminine all through, she presented a balanced outline with moderate length of neck, firm topline, ribbing well sprung and tail set on high and of good carriage. Nicely proportioned head with pleasing expression; slightly rounded skull, moderate stop, very nice eyes for shape, size and colour, flat cheeks and correct dentition. Well laid shoulders, straight forelegs and moderately angulated hindquarters. Moving freely fore and aft. Good coat and presentation.

2. Tarff’s Newpark Masquerade at Havredemer JW. This 2 yr old also appealed and she pleased for overall outline with neck of correct length, firm level back, ribcage of good length and well feathered tail set on high and of correct carriage. She isn’t quite as sturdy in build as the winner nor as well sprung in rib and therefore took second place here. Feminine headpiece with good skull to muzzle proportions, eyes of good colour but not quite shape of those of 1, clean through the cheeks and correct scissor bite. She has good angles both ends and moved freely and uses herself as she goes.

3. Smith’s Mooncast Piccolo Princess

OB (3,0)

1. McCallum-Sealy’s Ch Pandaprint Forever. Approaching 3 yrs this girl is brimming over with quality and style, beautifully presented and so very well handled to show her off to perfection. Excelling for type, she scored in outline with neck of correct length to balance, firm through the topline, first class ribbing and well feathered tail set on high and carried over the back. Most attractive head with feminine expression; slightly rounded skull, almond-shaped eyes of good size, ears set on just above level of the eyes, flat cheeks, muzzle proportionate in length to that of skull and correct dentition. She is sturdy as required and of sound construction both front and rear and also pleased in forechest where so many fail. She stands just right naturally and certainly didn’t disappoint when gaiting, moving true when coming and going and a delight on the go around, showing herself off to the max. CC & BOB.

2. Young’s Newpark’s Creme De La Creme JW. 4 yr old who was also well handled and very much appealed when going over given her super construction. Feminine all through, she is sturdy and presented in excellent nick. She is a touch longer in body but doesn’t particularly strike you as unbalanced, neck is of correct length, topline is level as required, ribbing extends well back and her tail is set on high and of good carriage. Balanced headpiece with correct skull, moderate stop, expressive eyes of correct shape, colour and of good size, ears set on just right, clean through the cheeks and scissor bite. When gaiting, she is accurate on the down and back and also went well when viewed in profile. RCC.
