1. Bailey’s Magicus Silvestris Prins Peter Pan (imp Nor). Two quite different dogs competed here with the win going to this 14 mth old. He pleased for balance and outline with clean neck of good length, short back with correct topline, good depth to brisket, very good ribbing, muscular loin, good croup and tail is correct for set and carriage. Masculine head with good length to his flat skull, expressive eyes, correct ears, clean cheeks and scissor bite. Standing on excellent feet, when gaiting he is clean on the down and back and went pretty well on the go around. Lovely rich tan.
2. Spain’s Starryedge Titan Buck. 13 mth old out of a smaller mould than the winner and not quite the bone. Neck of sufficient length, pleasing topline, ribbing developing well, short loin, more definition to croup than 1 and tail carried a touch higher. Balanced headpiece with flat narrow skull of good length, ears set on just right, pleasing eye, clean cheeks and correct dentition but overall preferred expression of winner. Moving well enough all through but again winner had the edge. Good colour and markings.

1. Lancaster & Rosser’s Erkenwyne Wildfire. Once again, here were two very different boys challenging. This 3 yr old was the victor who pleased for overall type and outline. Slightly arched neck of good length to balance, short firm back, brisket of good depth, well sprung ribs and muscular loin but tail carried higher than the ideal. Well proportioned head with flat, narrow skull, eyes of correct shape, very good ears, clean cheeks and good dentition. Confident carriage on the move, gaiting freely when coming and going and also went pretty well on the go around.
2. Wegmann’s Talanors Typically Trouble for Essvana. 3 yr old who wasn’t entirely settled here. Pleasing type and compact in outline with lean, slightly arched neck of good length, topline not quite as firm as that as winner, good depth to chest, pleasing rib, nice and short in the couplings and tail carried correctly. Masculine headpiece with flat skull, ears set on just right, correct cheeks and scissor bite but preferred eye of 1. He stands on correct feet for the breed, although has a touch more width in front. Unfortunately, as not relaxed he didn’t give his all on the move. Very good colour and markings.

1. Bodsworth’s Ch Safiette Theos Doron. I was presented with two very nice dogs here with this 2 yr old coming out on top. I thought him an excellent type and he was good hands on. All male, yet with the essential elegance of the breed and presenting a compact outline. Excellent length of neck which is slightly arched, short back with correct topline, super ribbing, good depth to chest, short in the couplings and tail pleasing for set and carriage. Quality wedge-shaped head with flat skull, ears correct for size and set, almond-shaped eyes which are sufficiently dark, clean through the cheeks and scissor bite. He stands well naturally in front on excellent feet and when gaiting, he uses himself to the fullest and very much impressed on the go around. CC & BOB.
2. Lomas’ Ch Axaldarn Viking Wolf JW. This 2 yr old shares the same sire as the winner and he two has much to like and was shown here in firm, hard condition. Clean neck of good length to give balance, short firm back, correct ribbing, good depth to brisket and well-muscled loin but tail carriage not quite that of 1. Another good headpiece and masculine in expression; flat skull of good length, correct ears, almond-shaped eyes, clean cheeks and scissor bite. Very good front assembly, standing nice and straight on correct feet for the breed and certainly didn’t let himself down when gaiting, moving freely all through and on his toes at all times. Very good colour and markings. Close up for the RCC.

1. Warner’s Ch Talanors Time For Fun ShCEx VW. Quality lad of 7 yrs who was excellent hands on. Solidly built, he is compact in outline as desired and presents a very nice picture. Fairly long, muscular neck, short back with firm topline, good depth to brisket, short loin, correct croup and tail of pleasing set and carriage. Balanced headpiece with flat, narrow skull, ears of correct set, almond-shaped eyes which are well filled below, clean cheeks and good dentition. Of sound construction, standing true in front on very good feet and well-muscled all through. Moving freely with confidence and very well handled here. RCC and Best Veteran.

1. Straughan & Cripps’ Ch Talanors Time To Shine at Mannikai. Quality girl of 7 yrs who presented a compact outline, feminine throughout and elegant as required. Slightly arched neck of correct length to give balance, short back and firm through the topline, ribs well sprung, good depth to chest, muscular loin and tail correct for both set and carriage. Attractive wedge-shaped head with narrow flat skull, very good eye and ear, well filled below the eye and scissor bite. She stands well naturally on correct feet and when gaiting she went well when viewed in profile and also pleased coming towards. Good quality coat. RCC.

1. Lomas’ Hurrockheath Miss Emmeline. 4 yr old who appealed for overall type and was good hands on, although carrying just a touch more weight than the ideal. Compact in outline with a lovely length of neck, short firm back, good depth to chest, well sprung ribs, short loin and tail correct for set and carriage. Feminine headpiece with correct skull, almond-shaped eyes, pretty good ears, clean cheeks and scissor bite. Pleasing angulation front and rear, straight forelegs and standing on excellent feet. Goes well on the go around with good drive from behind but could be cleaner coming towards. Very good colour and markings.
2. Stockton’s Magpiebank Breeze for Marlablue. 3 yr old who is totally feminine and another presenting the desired compact outline. She has a very good neck which is slightly arched at the crest, firm backline, brisket not quite to the elbow, pleasing rib and short in the couplings. Most attractive head and expression with flat skull of good length, eyes correct for shape and colour and well filled below, clean through the cheeks and good dentition. She stands well naturally in front and has the correct feet for the breed but winner scored in hind angulation. Moving ok but winner had the edge overall. Very good for colour.

1. Walshaw’s Ch Kentwone Lyra at Janmark JW. 4 yr old who was a comfortable winner in this class and very well handled. Balanced girl with clean neck of good length, firm topline, good depth to brisket, excellent ribbing, well-muscled loin and tail just right for set and carriage. First class head with correct skull, super expressive eyes, ears good for size, placement and carriage, clean through the cheeks and correct scissor bite. Standing true in front on correct feet and she particularly impressed in hindquarters. On the move, she pleased on the down and back and goes very well when viewed in profile. Correct for colour and markings. CC.
2. Spain’s Nespoli You Are My Sunshine. This 4 yr old presents a compact outline and also pleased for size. Very good neck which is slightly arched, firm backline, pleasing rib, short loin, good croup and tail of correct set and carriage. She has good length to her wedge-shaped head, eye shape not quite that of winner, clean cheeks and correct dentition but preferred overall expression of 1. Standing well naturally in front and she has breed typical feet but could use just a touch more bend of stifle. Moving ok all through but couldn’t match action of winner. Correct markings. Well handled.
