JD (2,1)

1. Lowes’ Callowdale Lucky Luciano. 13 mth black/tan who appealed for type, size and outline. Slightly arched neck of correct length to give balance, firm through the backline, brisket reaches the elbows, pleasing rib but obviously still to full develop, broad loin and tail of correct carriage. Quality head with good breadth to skull, excellent eye and ear and fairly broad square muzzle. I liked his angles front and rear and he stands on good feet. Pleasing profile action and carriage. Rear needs to strengthen. Good coat. RCC.

PGD (1,0)

1. Nicoll’s Bobby Digital. 3 yr gold carrying good bone. Muscular neck, firm level back, good depth to chest, ribbing well sprung and breadth to loins. Masculine head of good proportions, eyes of good colour and correct dentition but not really expression I was looking for. I stands true in front and is well developed in forechest. Moves ok all through but could make more of himself.

LD (3,0)

1. Harrison’s Callowdale Christian Grey. Disappointing class overall which saw this 3 yr old grey/tan the only one to place. Not in full coat on the day but he’s typical of the breed and presented a pleasing outline when using his tail. Muscular neck, firm topline, ribcage extends well back and his broad loins are well muscled. Well proportioned head with masculine expression, defined stop, oval-shaped eyes of good colour and scissor bite. Pleasing angulation front and rear and standing on good feet. Moves pretty well in profile.

OD (2,1)

1. Roberts’ Ch Callowdale Tenzin Nyima. 2 yr old black who impressed for overall type and outline and is all male. Muscular neck of good length to balance, firm through the topline, brisket reaches the elbows, well sprung ribs, broad loins and tail pleased for set and carriage. Very good head and expression with correct skull to muzzle proportions, dark oval-shaped eyes which are placed well apart, breadth to muzzle and good dentition. Carrying good bone, he stands well in front on compact feet and pleased for forechest too. I liked his angles front and rear and he moved out with purpose on the go around. Good coat. Very well handled to take the CC & BOB.

LB (2,0)

1. Doran’s Tamdrin Rinchien. Two black/tan girls challenged here with this 4 yr old taking the class. She pleased for overall type and is well-off for bone. Muscular neck, topline could be touch firmer, pleasing rib and good depth to chest, broad loins and tail good for both set and carriage. Well proportioned head with feminine expression; breadth to skull, correct stop, oval-shaped eyes of good colour and correct dentition. Pleasing angles both ends and she stands on good feet. I liked her profile action and she went pretty well coming and going.

2. Bailey’s Callowdale Dixie Rockin It at Sagrael. 3 yr old who was well handled here. Well-muscled neck, firm backline, brisket reaches the elbows, well sprung ribbing, breadth to loins and tail set and carried well. Feminine headpiece but not quite overall expression of winner, although she has a good eye and ear and correct dentition. She carries good bone and stands on rounded, compact feet. Moving pretty good on the go around and true behind but just a tad wider when coming towards.

OB (1,0)

1. Jackson’s Ch Callowdale Midnight Star. 4 yr old black/tan carrying good bone who I thought an excellent type and was good hands on. She pleased in outline with muscular neck of good length to give balance, firm through the topline, good depth to chest, ribcage carried well back, broad muscular loins and tail set and carried well. Very nice head and expression, strong yet retaining femininity with dark oval-shaped eyes, ears of correct size and set, square muzzle and marked stop. Pleasing construction all through and she stands on excellent feet. When gaiting she opens up well and moved with purpose. Good quality coat. CC.

VB (1,0)

1. Lowes’ Ch Callowdale Easy Street. 8 yr old black/tan who is extremely lively which was lovely to see! Well boned, she is balanced in outline with slightly arched, muscular neck, good through the backline, ribbing well sprung and tail set on high and of good carriage. Super head and expression with breadth to skull, marked stop, dark oval-shaped eyes of good placement, fairly broad muzzle and correct dentition. She stands true in front on excellent feet and is well developed in forechest. When settled she moved very well on the go around. Good coat. RCC and Best Veteran.
