1. Macdonald’s Kenbloom Have A Nice Day at Chedham. 13 mth old who I thought an excellent type, is of good size, carries excellent bone, presents a super outline and was good hands on. Muscular neck of correct length to give balance, firm topline, brisket reaching the elbows, well rounded ribcage, breadth to his well-muscled loins, slightly sloping croup and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Excellent head and expression; broad skull, good brow, well defined stop, flat cheeks, super eye and ear, correct short muzzle and scissor bite. Good angles front and rear and standing on excellent feet. On the move he goes so well when viewed in profile and he’s accurate going away. Front just needs to tighten a tad but he has time on his side. Very good colour and markings. CC & BOB.

PGD (3,1)

1. Everton’s Coldlea Midnight Sapphire. Two 19 mth old litter brothers competed in this class. The win went to this lad who pleased for overall type and presented a very nice outline. Slightly arched neck of correct length to balance, firm level back, chest of good depth, muscular loin, slight slope to croup and tail pleasing for set. Masculine headpiece with breadth to skull, expressive dark eyes, good stop, flat cheeks and muzzle of correct length. I liked his angles front and rear and he stands true in front on large compact feet. On the move, he was accurate fore and aft and opened up pretty well on the go around. Well handled. RCC.

2. Thorpe & Meyrick’s Coldlea Special Addition. This boy was somewhat erratic but I was informed this was his first show; more ring experience will benefit him greatly I’m sure. Like his brother, he also pleased in outline with neck of good length, firm through the topline, good depth to brisket, broad muscular loin and correct croup. Good skull to muzzle proportions but not as good in skull as winner; eyes of good colour, distinct stop and correct dentition. Pleasing angulation both ends but standing a little untidy in front which reflects when gaiting, however he is nice and firm in the rear.

OD (3,2)

1. Jeffries & Bell’s Ch Kingdom On The Rock Wielkopolski Bernardyn for Bellfries. 2 yr old who carries very good bone and substance and was very well handled here. Muscular neck which is long enough to balance, excellent topline, brisket of good depth, well rounded ribcage, broad loins, correct croup and tail of good set and carriage. Masculine head with good skull to muzzle proportions; broad skull, well defined stop, clear eyes of good colour and correct dentition but preferred overall expression of CC and RCC winners. Pleasing angles front and rear and he stands well naturally in front and has large compact feet. On the move, he goes well when viewed in profile and has power through the hindquarters, just a tad wider coming towards.

1. Clarke’s Parleshan Ebony Rose (imp Ire). 14 mth old who is most promising and she was good hands on. She presented such a good outline with a nice long neck which is slightly arched, firm straight back, good depth to chest, ribbing developing well for age, muscular loin and tail just right for set and carriage. Feminine head with breadth to skull, well defined stop, excellent eyes which are full of expression, ears or correct size, flat cheeks, short muzzle and good dentition. She is soundly constructed both front and rear, stands true in front on very good feet and certainly didn’t disappoint when gaiting. Very good markings. Would be interested to see this girl as she matures on. RCC.

OB (2,1)

1. Booth’s Ch Chandlimore Star Struck with Beausaints. 2 yr old of excellent type and full of quality. She pleased for size and substance, carries super bone and was a pleasure to go over. Muscular neck of good length, well rounded ribbing, brisket reaches the elbows, broad well-muscled loins, slight slope to croup and tail pleased for set and carriage. Balanced headpiece with feminine expression; broad skull, prominent brow, lovely dark eyes, well defined stop, flat cheeks, short muzzle and correct dentition. Well made both ends and she stands nice and straight in front on excellent feet and is well developed in forechest. When gaiting, she pleased all through. Good markings. CC. Just lost her topline a tad in the BOB challenge.
