1. Gee’s Watercroft Rumour Has It. Quality red pup of 10 mths. Balanced in outline with strong neck of good length, firm level topline, ribcage extends well back and tail set on well. Masculine head with good breadth of skull, oval-shaped eyes, ears correct for size and set, strong muzzle of correct length to balance and scissor bite. Soundly constructed and has good breadth all through. Gaiting freely on the down and back and has excellent reach in front on the go around. Good texture to jacket. Excellent temperament.

1. Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Turn The Tables. 13 mth old red of good type, carrying good bone and presenting a compact outline. Moderate length of neck, excellent topline, well sprung ribs which are carried well back, short loin and tail set on well. Balanced headpiece with breadth to skull, well defined stop, eyes good for colour, strong muzzle and correct dentition. Moving out well when viewed in profile and using himself as he goes, nice and clean coming towards and ok behind. Excellent texture to jacket.

1. Jenkins’ Kinsridge Dark Moon. A rather varied class with three very different boys competing. This 16 mth old black/tan was my winner. Carrying good bone and of pleasing type but with a touch more length. Strong neck of good length, firm topline, pleasing rib, muscular loin but could be shorter and tail correct for set and carriage. Masculine head with very good expression; broad skull, dark oval-shaped eyes, ears good for size and set, strong muzzle of correct length to balance and good dentition. Purposeful profile action and straight coming towards albeit somewhat wider.

2. Smith’s Javidel Repeat If I May. 2 yr old black/tan who is small and compact as the standard requires. Neck of sufficient length, pretty good in topline, well sprung ribbing, nice short loin and tail set on well. Head of good proportions with breadth to skull, well defined stop, expressive oval-shaped eyes, ears of correct size and set and scissor bite. He stands on good feet but when gaiting he wasn’t quite as easy on the go around as the winner. Good quality jacket with excellent texture.

3. Thompson & Pope’s Belleville In A Word

OD (5,0)

1. Gee’s Ch Watercroft Easy Tiger. My first two here very much appealed and although quite different to each other, they are both full of quality and were excellent hands on. This 2 yr old red came out on top and he showed himself off at all times to take the win. Carrying good bone, he is compact in outline, has an excellent neck, firm through the topline, well sprung ribbing, short muscular loin and tail is set on well. Best of heads with good breadth to skull, well defined stop, keen expressive eyes, ears correct for size and set, strength to muzzle and scissor bite. Well built both front and rear and stands nice and straight in front on excellent feet. Moving true when coming and going and excellent on the go around with such good carriage. Very well presented with hard, wiry jacket. CC & BOB. Pleased to see he went on to take Group 3.

2. Thompson-Morgan’s Ch Layhefields Great Ridge by Belleville. 2 yr old red who pushed the winner all the way. Compact in outline with strong neck of correct length to give balance, short firm back, excellent ribbing, well-muscled loin and tail set on well. Quality head with good skull to muzzle proportions, the very best of eyes, ears pleased for size and set, well defined stop, strong jaws and scissor bite. Well laid shoulders, elbows close to the body, straight forelegs and stands on such good feet. On the move, he was accurate on the down and back and also pleased on the go around with excellent drive from the rear. Jacket of good texture and so very well presented. RCC.

3. Nunez’s Treehouse Always There For You

1. Tate’s Jaeva Rings A Bell. Black/tan coming up to 8 mths who grabbed me hook, line and sinker! A total character, excelling for type, compact in outline and a delight to go over. Medium length of neck, short firm back, good length to ribcage, short in the couplings and tail set on well. Feminine headpiece which is well proportioned, good breadth to skull, well defined stop, the best of eyes, ears correct for size and set, strength to muzzle and correct scissor bite. Well constructed both front and rear and she stands true in front on excellent feet. Free, purposeful action on the down and back and she also pleased on the go around where her excellent driving rear movement could be observed. RCC and Best Puppy and later went on to take Puppy Group 3.

2. Gee’s Watercroft Juicy Gossip. 10 mth old red not quite in her full jacket on the day. Another soundly built pup but she is quite different to the winner and overall not quite as compact but having said that, I wouldn’t consider her long. Strong neck, level backline, pleasing rib development for age, correct croup and tail set on well. Very nice head and expression, being totally feminine, with oval-shaped eyes, ears good for size and set, well defined stop, strong wedge-shaped muzzle and correct dentition. Nice straight forelegs and firm muscular hindquarters. Gaiting freely when she got going.

1. Gee’s Watercroft Sticky Wicket JW. 14 mth old red who is a very happy showgirl. Neck of good length, excellent through the topline, ribbing extends well back, firm loin and tail set on well. Nicely proportioned head with good breadth to skull, expressive eyes, correct ears, good stop, scissor bite and excellent pigmentation. She stands well naturally in front and goes so well on the go around and has excellent carriage but is a touch closer going away. Well presented and pretty good texture to jacket.

1. Tate’s Jaeva Poker Face. 18 mth old black/tan. Feminine throughout and presenting a compact outline. Neck of medium length, super topline, good length to ribcage, short muscular loin and tail set on well. Balanced head with good breadth to skull, dark expressive eyes, ears correct for size and set, strength to muzzle and good dentition. Pleasing angulation front and rear and she stands straight in front on good feet. On the move, she went very well on the go around and also pleased coming towards and was ok going away. Decent texture to jacket.

OB (5,1)

1. Jenkins’ Ch Kinsridge Strawberry Moon. Two very nice bitches headed this class with the win going to this 16 mth old red. She appealed for type, carries good bone and was excellent hands on. She presented a well-balanced outline with strong neck of correct length, short firm back, good length to ribcage, short muscular loin and tail is set on well. Feminine head with broad skull, well defined stop, expressive eyes of good colour, strong wedge-shaped muzzle of correct length to give balance to the head and scissor bite. Pleasing construction both front and rear, standing nice and straight in front on very good feet and well-muscled all through. Goes so well on the go around and has excellent carriage and also pleased fore and aft. Hard, wiry jacket which is very well presented. CC.

2. Gee’s Ch Watercroft Stitch In Time JW. 22 mth old red who used herself fully and is also full of quality. She excels in outline with strong neck of medium length, firm level back, excellent ribbing, nice and short in the loin, correct croup and tail set on well. Attractive, well-proportioned head with excellent eye and ear, correct stop and strong muzzle. Shoulders well laid, straight forelegs, pleasing forechest and she is so well made in the rear too. Moving cleanly coming and going and gaiting with purpose on the go around where she is a delight to watch. Quality jacket and presentation.
