1. Page, Page, Page & Howell’s Ch Bleize De Montjuic at Winflash (Imp Usa). 7 yr old black who I have done well for previously and having now moved into veteran, he still appealed. All male, well-boned and good to go over and shown here with excellent muscling. I liked his overall outline and balance and his neck is nicely arched, he’s firm through the backline, has excellent ribbing, muscular in loin and tail pleased for length, set and carriage. Head of good skull to proportions with masculine expression and certainly no suggestion of coarseness; he has correct breadth of skull, moderate stop, oval-shaped eyes of good colour, well-broken ears frame the face as desired and his mouth is correct. Pleasing angulation both ends, elbows held close to the chest, standing straight in front on compact feet and well developed in forechest. Easy, clean action and covering the ground on the go around. Good distribution of spotting. Well handled to take the CC today.
2. Williams & Tanswell’s Tolkain Storm King from Phadante JW. 7 yr old black who has a lighter frame than the winner but still masculine in appearance. Neck of correct length to balance, deep through the brisket, ribbing carried well back, firm muscular loin, correct set on of tail and pleasing tail carriage. Skull of correct breadth, well-broken ears frame the face, oval-shaped eyes, muzzle proportionate in length to that of skull and correct scissor bite. He stands true in front but not quite the forechest of winner. Moving ok all through but overall out-moved by 1. Good distribution of spotting on pure white ground colour.
MPD (6,0)
1. Whincup’s Tamilanda Starlight. A somewhat varied class which saw this 7 mth old liver come out on top. Neck of good length, firm in topline, pleasing depth to chest, ribbing carried well back and developing as you would want, correct croup and tail just right for set and carriage. Nicely proportioned head with flat skull of pleasing breadth for age, expressive oval-shaped eyes, ears are well-broken and frame the face and dentition is correct. He stands well naturally in front and has excellent feet. When gaiting, he pleased on the down and back and for me, he had the best profile action in the class. Well distributed spotting and pure white background colour. Well handled.
2. Carroll’s Salvadorada Morpheus of Dalpaulisa. 8 mth old black of heavier build than the winner who is in need of some more ringcraft but did enough to take this placement. He presented a well balanced outline with nicely arched neck of good length, level topline, ribbing carried well back, firm loin, correct croup leading to tail of correct set which he carries as desired. Masculine head which good skull to muzzle ratio, moderate stop, expressive eyes of good shape and colour, ears frame the face and scissor bite. Pleasing construction throughout and stands true in front on correct feet. Didn’t let himself down when gaiting.
3. Christie’s Sophtspot Xtra Spicy
PD (9,2)
1. Reide-West’s Jemblewood Northern Stork. 9 mth old liver with lots to like and very good hands on. He presented a well balanced outline and he has a nicely arched neck, firm level back, good depth to chest, ribcage extends well back and ribbing developing well for age, muscular loins, correct croup and tail just right for length and set and is carried correctly too. Attractive head with masculine expression; good skull development, medium stop, oval-shaped eyes of good colour, ears are well-broken and frame the face, powerful muzzle proportionate in length to that of skull and correct dentition. I liked his angles front and rear and he stands well naturally in front. On the move, he went well all through but just felt handler, who did a good job, could have moved him out with a touch more pace. Even so, he was my Best Puppy here today and I was pleased to see he later took Puppy Group 3.
2. Brown’s Tamilanda Shining Star. 7 mth old black who was extremely lively and obviously enjoys life to the max! He has a good length of neck which is nicely arched, firm through the backline, ribbing extends well back, croup is correct as is length of tail but carried a touch higher right now although this could well be down to puppy exuberance. Head with good skull to muzzle proportions, expressive eyes, ears frame the face and his dentition is correct. Pleasing angles both ends, straight forelegs and compact feet but needing to develop further in forechest but again, he’s only a baby. On the move, he pleased all through but winner did have the edge.
3. Carroll’s Salvadorada Morpheus of Dalpaulisa
JD (5,1)
1. Brown’s Tamilanda Shining Star
2. Williams & Tanswell’s Carodal Welcome Way via Waltzaway. 13 mth old black who is quite different to the winner. Muscular neck of correct length to balance, firm through the topline, brisket reaches the elbows, ribbing carried well back, well-muscled loin and tail of good length but carried a tad higher. Masculine in head with a flat skull but with more breadth, expressive eyes with well-pigmented rims, ears frame the face, powerful muzzle and correct dentition. On the move, he pleased coming and going but for me, winner had the edge on the go around. Good distribution of spotting on the body. Well handled.
3. Cattermole & Richards’ Anima Cordis Man in The Mirror for Kalvadene for Hafwenna (Imp Pol)
YD (6,1)
1. Alexander’s Offordale Belvedere. 20 mth old liver who is all male and was so good to go over. I liked the outline he presented with nicely arched neck of correct length to give the balance I was looking for, he’s nice and firm through the backline, ribbing is well sprung and he has a good depth of chest, loin is well-muscled, croup correct as is his tail set and carriage. Masculine headpiece with flat skull, correct breadth between his medium-sized ears which are well-broken and frame the face, eyes pleased for shape and colour, muzzle is proportionate in length to that of skull and powerful and dentition is correct. Shoulders well laid, elbows close to the body, straight well-boned forelegs, compact feet and excellent forechest. When gaiting, he opened up well on the go around and displayed such good carriage. Well deserveds RCC today.
2. Corcoran & Howard-Riddle’s Shydally Star Gazer. 2 yr old black who was close up to the winner here but the two dogs really are quite different to one another. This lad has an excellent neck, firm level back, brisket reaches the elbows, ribs are well sprung, loin is well muscled and croup and tail set are both correct and therefore tail is carried as desired. Head of good proportions with masculine expression, super eye, ears frame the face, moderate stop, powerful muzzle and scissor bite. Soundly built both front and rear, standing true in front on excellent feet and pleasing in forechest too. Eye catching, purposeful profile action with impressive length of stride. Good spotting. Very well handled.

3. Richards’ Hafwenna Big Tea Party
GD (3,0)
1. Cattermole & Richards’ Anima Cordis Man in The Mirror for Kalvadene for Hafwenna (Imp Pol). Three very different dogs competed in this class with my winner found in this 16 mth old liver. Well spotted lad who pleased in outline with good length of neck, level backline, brisket of good depth, ribbing extending well back, correct croup and tail good for set and carriage. Skull and muzzle length proportionate but would like a touch more breadth to skull, ears are well broken and frame the face, correct dentition and scoring over 2 in eye. He stands well naturally in front, has nice compact feet and he has pleasing angles both front and rear. Opens up well on the go around.
2. Warren’s Hafwenna Gulping Pixies. 2 yr old black who was very well handled here. Neck of good length to balance, firm topline, brisket reaches the elbows, pleasing croup and tail set and carriage as required. Head of good proportions, ears frame the face and are nicely broken but much preferred the eye and overall expression of winner. Standing true in front on compact feet and well-muscled all. Moving ok all through but winner had the edge on the go around. Rather sparsely spotted.
3. Wootton & Gardinor’s Hebemor Adonis Blue by Dakata
PGD (7,0)
1. Growcott-Jones’ Rodengrove Rudolph. Another varied class which saw this 4 yr old liver as my winner. Nicely arched neck of pleasing length, correct topline, well sprung ribbing and chest of good depth, firm loin, good croup and tail correct for length, set and carriage. Nicely proportioned head with flat skull, pleasing breadth between his well set ears which frame the face, oval-shaped eyes and scissor bite. Pleasing angulation front and rear and nicely developed in forechest. Scoring here in side gait and overall carriage and goes well enough on the down and back too. Nice distribution of spotting of a pure white background. Handled to advantage.
2. Saunders’ Hafwenna House of Stark at Giffwinnoah. This 3 yr old black presented a nicely balanced outline and has the elegance of the breed. Muscular neck of correct length, firm through the backline, chest of good depth, well-muscled loins, correct in croup and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Head of correct skull to muzzle proportions, well broken ears frame the face as desired, powerful muzzle and scissor bite. Forechest could be more developed but he stands true in front and has nice compact feet. Moving cleanly on the down and back and although he moves well enough when viewed in profile, winner had the edge.
3. Claesen’s Dalstorm Just Jiving
LD (12,4)
1. Green & Sears’ Shydally Golden Star over Judally. Approaching 2 yrs, this black has so much to like and I thought he presented a lovely outline, strong yet retaining the desired elegance of the breed. Fairly long neck, clean and nicely arched as required, firm backline, brisket reaches the elbows, ribs well sprung and carried well back, correct croup and tail spot on for set and carriage. Attractive headpiece with masculine expression; flat skull which is proportionate in length to that of muzzle, moderate stop, well broken ears of correct set, super eyes for shape and colour and scissor bite. Good angles front and rear and stands on compact feet. On the move, he has a lovely length of stride when viewed in profile and is accurate when going away. Very well handled.
2. Cuthbertson’s Kalsidoni Blue Gemstone JW. This 3 yr old black was close up here but he’s really quite different to the winner and is a heavier build all through. He was good hands on and presented a pleasing outline. Correct length of neck to give balance, super topline, ribbing well developed and ribcage carried well back, firm muscular loin, correct croup and tail just right for set and carriage. Masculine headpiece with breadth to skull between his well broken ears which frame the face, eyes of good colour but a fraction rounder, powerful muzzle and correct dentition. I liked his angles front and rear and his well-boned forelegs are straight, elbows are close to the chest and he stands on such good feet. Sound all through when gaiting and opening up well on the go around.
3. Baker’s Kelevra Chive Talking with Dalleaf JW
OD (8,2)
1. Whincup’s Tamilanda Vintage Gold JW. Varied class with some very different males present and quite a range in size too. This 2 yr old liver came out on top, scoring here for overall outline and construction. Excellent neck which flows smoothly into well-laid shoulders, firm through the topline, brisket of good depth, excellent ribbing, muscular loin, correct croup and tail bang on for length, set and carriage. Masculine head with well broken ears which frame the face but rather more stop than moderate which took the edge off expression for me. He stands just right in front on excellent feet and is well-muscled throughout and I particularly liked his rear assembly and strength to second thigh. When gaiting, he is accurate fore and aft and covers the ground on the go around.
2. Moate’s Sundowndal Trijonkuro. 6 yr old black who couldn’t be more different to the winner and out of a smaller mould. Having said this he is masculine throughout and nicely constructed. Muscular neck which is nicely arched, level topline, brisket reaches the elbows, well sprung ribs, strength to loins and tail set and carriage also pleased. Balanced headpiece with flat skull, ears of correct set although not broken, powerful muzzle and scissor bite and much preferred overall expression to that of 1. Pleasing angulation both front and rear, standing well naturally in front and another with such good feet. On the move, he moved freely coming and go and he too has a good length of stride but winner did have the edge on the go around.
3. Gardner’s Ch Wrendragge Stone The Crows
VB (9,4)
1. Neath-Coyne & Baker’s Ch Buffrey Hanky Panky by Dalleaf JW. A really nice class to start the bitches off. This 9 yr old black was my winner and one who I have done well for previously, albeit several years ago. Feminine all through, an absolute delight to go over and presented in super condition and muscle-tone. Nicely arched neck of good length, firm backline, excellent ribbing, well-muscled loins, correct croup and tail pleased for length, set and carriage. Balanced headpiece with correct breadth to her skull between her well-broken ears which frame the fame as desired, expressive oval-shaped eyes with well pigmented rims, medium stop and scissor bite. Well laid shoulders, elbows close to the body and standing just right in front on super feet. Quite outstanding on the go around and clean when coming and going. RCC and Best Veteran. Pleased to see she later took Veteran Group 4.
2. Gardner’s Ch Dvojica Chilli Chutney for Wrendragge JW. 9 yr old liver who was hot on the heels of the winner and another who I have always liked. She presents a beautifully balanced picture with arched neck of correct length, firm through the topline, good depth to brisket, well sprung ribbing, strength to loins, correct croup and tail just right for set and carriage. Feminine headpiece with flat skull, excellent eyes for shape and colour, well-broken ears framing the face, muzzle proportionate in length to that of skull and correct dentition. Faultless construction, standing just right naturally whenever you look at her and she has the very best of feet and also pleased for forechest. Moving cleanly on the down and back and covering the ground when viewed in profile, however today winner just had the edge when I sent them around together.
3. Burrows’ Ch Ellemstra Tough Cookie at Shacarlu
MPB (2,1)
1. Richards’ Hafwenna Defying Gravity. 8 mth old black standing alone here. Feminine all through and very well handled. She has a good length to her arched neck, is firm in topline, brisket of good depth and tail pleased for length, set and carriage. Good skull to muzzle proportions but head still to fully develop; ears frame the face, moderate stop and scissor bite. She stands nice and straight in front and has lovely compact feet. On the move, she went pretty well coming and going and pleased on the go around. Sparsely spotted but clean, pure white ground colour.
PB (8,1)
1. Quayle & Beaumont’s Cubalibre Triple Hazy. 9 mth old black who was unsettled initially but did more than enough here to secure this placing. I thought she was full of quality and she presented a super outline with arched neck of correct length to balance, excellent backline, chest reaches the elbows, super ribbing for age, firm loin, croup just right and leading to correct set on of tail which she carries as you would wish. Super headed pup with correct skull which is balanced by a powerful muzzle, she has the very best of eyes, ears frame the face and are well broken and she has correct dentition. Well built both front and rear, straight well-boned forelegs, elbows close to the sides and compact feet. Moving freely all through. Best Puppy Bitch.
2. Harris’ Diocletian Sea Nymph. Coming up to 12 mths, this black is quite different to the winner but she shows promise and was good hands on. Pleasing in outline with neck of good length, correct through the backline, chest of good depth, muscular loin and tail set on correctly and carried as desired. Feminine headpiece but still to fully develop; she has correct proportions, expressive eyes, ears frame the face and are well broken and dentition is good. Pleasing angulation both ends and she stands true in front on compact feet. Moving well when viewed from all angles but winner was quite outstanding in this department. Good distribution of spotting and pure white ground colour.
3. Carrington’s Caprilli Remember Me
JB (7,1)
1. Christie’s Sophtspot Wild Child. 13 mth old black who was so very well handled here. Feminine throughout, she was very good hands on and should go on to do very well. Nicely arched neck with plenty of length, excellent topline, ribbing extends well back, firm muscular loin, correct croup and tail just right for set and carriage. Most attractive head with correct skull to muzzle proportions, expressive oval-shaped eyes, ears frame the face as desired, moderate stop and scissor bite. She stands nice and straight in front on compact feet but still to fully develop in forechest as you would expect given her age. On the move, she is eye-catching on the go around and carries herself with style. Good distribution of spots and excellent ground colour.
2. Haywood-Ridgway & Jenkins’ Sophtspot with Style at Luccombe. Black who turned out to be the littermate to the winner which doesn’t surprise me as they are very similar in so many ways. Elegant and so very well balanced with nicely arched neck, firm backline, brisket reaches the elbows, ribbing developing well, well-muscled loin, correct croup and tail pleased for length, set and carriage. There is balance to her headpiece with flat skull, oval-shaped eyes of good colour, ears framing the face, powerful muzzle and correct dentition. Soundly constructed front and rear, she stands well at all times and has lovely compact feet. When gaiting, she moved freely fore and aft and covers the ground when viewed in profile. Close up to 1.
3. Harris’ Diocletian Sea Nymph

1. Scott’s Sophtspot Whirlwind. I really liked the first two in this class. My winner turned out to be another littermate to the two girls which headed the previous class. Quality youngster who put on such a good performance to take this placement. She has an excellent neck which is arched as desired, firm level topline, good depth to chest, ribbing carried well back, muscular loins, excellent croup and tail is set and carried just right. Head of good proportions with feminine expression; oval-shaped eyes of good colour with well pigmented rims, ears are nicely broken and frame the face as they should and she is correct for dentition. She too presented such a good outline with nicely arched neck of correct length to give balance, firm backline, brisket reaches the elbows, ribcage extends well back and ribbing developing as it should for age, well-muscled loin, good croup and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Attractive, well proportioned head with feminine expression; well-broken ears frame the face, eyes are of correct shape but just a smidge lighter although nothing untoward, powerful muzzle and scissor bite. Good angles front and rear, standing true in front with pleasing forechest and she has very good feet. Opens up very well when viewed in profile and another who was handled to advantage.

Feminine head and expression with her flat skull proportionate in length to that of her muzzle, oval-shaped eyes, ears frame the face and her dentition is correct. I liked her profile action and self carriage, she is true when coming towards and ok when viewed from behind. Good distribution of spotting.
2. Kaal & Jones’ Rapanooey Rosebank von Schunikka JW. 2 yr old black who was close up to the winner here and so very well handled. Neck of good length, firm backline, brisket reaches the elbows, pleasing ribbing, well-muscled loins, correct croup and tail of good length. Her skull and muzzle proportions are correct and dentition pleased but overall preferred expression of winner. She has good angles both ends and although she stands nice and straight in front on excellent feet she doesn’t quite have the breadth in front of 1. Excellent profile action and carriage. Well distributed spotting.
3. Wareham & Wylde’s Tamilanda Gold Standard at Dotsadaisy
PGB (9,3)
1. Tingey’s Dallyador White Magnolia JW. 3 yr old liver who for me was a comfortable winner in this class and one who was particularly well handled. Pleasing outline with nicely arched neck of correct length to give balance, firm backline, brisket of good depth, well developed ribbing, muscular loin, correct croup and tail just right for set and carriage. Nicely proportioned head with flat skull, oval-shaped eyes, ears frame the face and are well broken and scissor bite. Pleasing spotting and pure white ground colour.
2. Healey, Healey, Wheaton & Gardinor’s Hebemor Careless Whisper from Dakata. 2 yr old liver who was a little ‘milky’ in underline. She presented a pleasing outline with nicely arched neck of correct length, firm level backline, brisket reaches the elbows and ribbing well sprung, well-muscled loin and tail of good set and carriage. Feminine head with correct skull to muzzle proportions but winner had the edge in overall expression for me. Could stand tidier in front but when gaiting, she pleased on the go around.
3. Edens’ Steyndal Diamond White at Dalens JW
LB (15,7)
1. Quayle’s Cubalibre Star Attraction JW. The first two here were close up and both an absolute pleasure to judge. The nod went to this liver who is approaching 3 yrs. A delight to get hands on given her super construction. So correct in outline with arched neck of good length, firm topline, good depth to chest with lovely spring of rib, strength to loins and tail correct for length, set and carriage. Balanced headpiece with delightful expression; flat skull, moderate stop, oval-shaped eyes, nicely broken ears which frame the face, powerful muzzle and correct dentition. She has lovely bone, yet retains the elegance of the breed and I liked her angles front and rear. Standing well naturally in front on excellent feet and pleasing for forechest too. Moving freely all through and covering the ground.
2. Burrows’ Shacarlu Bee Happy. 3 yr old black who could have easily switched places with the winner. Feminine throughout, she too just felt right when hands on and was so very well handled here to show off her virtues, of which there are many. Balanced in outline with clean neck of correct length, excellent topline, correct ribbing, well-muscled loin, croup just right and leading to correct set on of tail which she carries just as she should. Most attractive head and expression, full of femininity and correctly proportioned; oval-shaped eyes of good colour, well broken ears framing the face, moderate stop and scissor bite. Of sound construction, standing dead-on in front and certainly didn’t disappoint when gaiting where she covers the ground with ease.

Quality through and through and the one who gave me a real buzz on the day; my CC winner from a very nice bitch line-up and also going on to take BOB.
2. Scott’s Ch/Ir Ch Sophtspot La De Da at Belsmard ShCEx. 6 yr old black who I have done very well for at Group level before and another presented in super nick and shown to advantage here. She is quite different to my winner and a ‘scopier’ girl but nonetheless, she certainly cannot be overlooked. Totally feminine, she has a nicely arched neck with a touch more length, firm topline, brisket reaches the elbows, excellent ribbing, strength to loin, correct croup and tail bang on for set and carriage. Most attractive head and expression; correct breadth to muzzle which is proportionate in length to her muzzle, super eye and ear and scissor bite. Another who is so well made with super angulation front and rear and standing true at all times. Clean, effortless action coming and going and lovely long stride when viewed in profile.
