1. Howell & Hardy’s Amhard Union Jack. 6 mth old wheaten who is very raw right now. He is a touch longer than preferred but otherwise I thought him most promising and he has the frame which he just needs to fill. Neck of good length, topline rising as desired, ribcage extends well back, firm loin and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Masculine headpiece with good breadth to skull, well defined stop, expressive eyes of good colour which are placed well apart, correct ears, strength to muzzle and excellent dentition with good sized teeth. Well constructed both ends and with pleasing forechest for age. Uses himself as he goes and impressed on the go around. Well handled. Best Puppy Dog.

1. Saletti’s Jojase Clancy Thunderstorm. 6 mth old blue with plenty to like. Carrying good bone, he pleased in outline with moderate length of neck, characteristic topline, ribbing carried well back and developing nicely for age, muscular loin and tail set on well. Pleasing head and expression with good width to skull, eyes of good colour, rose ears, sufficient stop, strength to foreface and very good dentition. Pleasing angles front and rear and he stands on compact feet. Moving freely on the down and back.

1. George’s Tommy Beau. 17 mth old wheaten who appealed for overall type and is well-off for bone. Muscular neck, topline rising towards the loin, ribbing carried well back, broad loin and tail correct for both set and carriage. Masculine head with strength throughout; excellent skull, well defined stop, expressive eyes which are placed well apart in the skull, good ears and powerful foreface. Shoulders well laid and pleasing rear angulation with well developed thighs. Moving freely coming towards and covering the ground in profile but could be firmer going away.

1. Hardy’s Jojase Brogan Midnight Blue with Amhard. Blue brindle of 21 mths who appealed for type and carries such good bone. Muscular neck of moderate length, topline rising towards the loin, well ribbed back, breadth to loins and tail just right for set and carriage. Strong headpiece with masculine expression; excellent skull, eyes good for shape, colour and placement, correct ears, defined stop and powerful muzzle. He is well developed in forechest and stands well naturally. Pleasing profile action and carriage but a tad closer going away. Harsh texture to jacket.

1. George’s Romainville Mikkee Blue. Four quite different dogs competed in this class with the win going to this 2 yr old blue. He is a tad longer for my preference but he carries good bone and was very good hands on. Strong neck of moderate length, characteristic topline of the breed, well sprung ribbing and ribcage carried well back, muscular loin with breadth and tail pleased for set and carriage. There is plenty of strength to his masculine head; breadth to skull, well defined stop, expressive round eyes, correct ears and good dentition. Pleasing angulation both ends and well developed in forechest. Goes so well when viewed in profile. RCC.
2. Hannington’s Boudivella Love Story JW. 2 yr old wheaten who was close up to the winner here. He pleased in outline with muscular neck of moderate length, topline rising towards the loin, well sprung ribs which extend well back, broad strong loin and tail well set on and of good carriage. Quality head with breadth to skull, correct stop, expressive eyes, excellent ears, powerful muzzle and scissor bite. Pleasing front assembly and stands on very good feet but not quite rear angulation of winner. Moves out well on the go around and very well handled.
3. Hardy’s Amhard Tornado

1. Pryce’s Ch Cenaubach I Do JW. 2 yr old wheaten who was a standout in this class for me. All male, full of breed type and with such good bone and substance. He presented a typical outline with muscular neck of moderate length, characteristic topline, ribcage of good length and well sprung ribs, strong loins and tail just right for set and carriage. Super headed lad with the best of expressions; breadth to skull, well defined stop, eyes of good colour which are set well apart, correct ears, strength to foreface and scissor bite. Soundly built all through and moving freely on the down and back and covering the ground when viewed in profile. Excellent texture to jacket. CC & BOB.
2. Kirkwood’s Jeonty Kylo Ren at Cazcade. Hefty 6 yr old wheaten who is a great character and certainly made the handler work hard on the day! Strong, muscular neck, topline rising towards the loin, well sprung ribs, broad well-muscled loin and tail well set on. Masculine headpiece with strength all through; good width to skull, well defined stop, expressive eyes, correct ears and breadth to jaws. He has pleasing angulation front and rear, which is where he scored over 3, and he is well developed in forechest. Moving well on the go around with good self carriage.
3. Saletti’s Esp/World Ch Heremon Bear at Jojase

1. Hannington’s Ch/Bel/Dutch/Int/Esp Ch Boudivella Osca VW ShCEx. 11 yr old wheaten who still commands attention and shows himself off to advantage. Masculine all through, carrying good bone and well off for substance. Neck of moderate length, topline spot on, ribs well sprung and ribbing carried well back, muscular loin and tail just right for set and carriage. Quality head with good breadth to skull, well defined stop, excellent eye and ear, powerful foreface and good dentition. Well built both front and rear, well developed in forechest and stands on compact feet. Gaiting freely on the down and back and also pleased when viewed in profile. Harsh texture to jacket. Best Veteran.

1. Hardy’s Amhard Uschi. Two 6 mth old wheaten pups challenged in this class, both showing promise but very much babies as one might expect. This girl came out on top and what a super temperament she has. She pleased in outline with medium length of neck, topline rising towards the loin as desired, ribbing still to develop but ribcage extends well back, firm loin and tail is correct for set and carriage. Feminine headpiece with breadth to skull, correct stop, expressive eyes which are placed well apart, good ears and strength to foreface which is where she scored over 2. Pleasing angles front and rear and she went well on the go around.
2. Saletti’s Jojase Ciara Firestorm. Sweet natured pup who also presented a well balanced outline with correct length of neck, typical breed topline, good length to ribcage, firm loin and tail set on well and of good carriage. She has a good skull, expressive eyes of good colour and placement in the skull, correct ears and scissor bite but not quite strength of muzzle of winner. I liked her angulation both ends and she also moved out freely when viewed in profile. Feet could not quite match those of 1.

1. Fobisher & Davies’ Wilgusbin Wonder. 9 mth old brindle who is full of breed type, well off for bone and pleased for substance. Characteristic outline with strong neck of moderate length, correct topline for the breed, rib developing just as it should for age, strength to loin and tail well set on and of good carriage. Attractive headpiece with breadth to skull, round eyes set well apart and dark enough, well defined stop, strength to muzzle and excellent dentition. Shoulders well laid, very good forechest for age and firm, muscular hindquarters. Moves out well when viewed in profile and was well handled here. Best Puppy.

1. Hannington’s Boudivella Dottie. 14 mth old wheaten who was good hands on. She is nicely balanced with excellent neck, topline rises towards the loin, pleasing rib development and ribcage extends well back, muscular loin and tail is well set on. Feminine headpiece with good width to skull, well defined stop, expressive eyes which are set well apart, correct ears and strength to foreface. Well laid shoulders, standing on good feet and well-muscled hindquarters with well bent stifles. Pleasing action all through and carries herself well. Handled to advantage.

1. Whitehouse’s Amhard Tiger Lily. This was a particularly varied class which gave me lots to consider. The eventual winner was this 2 yr old wheaten, winning on overall outline and profile action. She has a strong neck of correct length to balance, typical topline, good length to ribcage, muscular loin and tail pleased for set and carriage. She has strength to her head yet retains femininity, well defined stop, expressive eyes of correct placement in the skull, powerful foreface and scissor bite. She out-moved the others in the class on the go around but could be more accurate too and fro.
2. Forbes’ Boudivella Higher Love with Karensbrae. 2 yr old wheaten who has much to like, is well off for bone and substance and was very well handled here. She has the correct length of neck which is nice and strong, pleasing spring of rib and muscular loin but croup could be firmer and as such gives the impression of a roach rather than a rising topline. Skull has good width, stop is well defined, eyes are good for shape, set and colour, foreface is powerful and dentition good. Moves pretty well on the go around. Harsh texture to jacket.
3. Saletti’s Marfidal Storm at Boudivella (fin Imp)

1. Pryce’s Ch Cazcade And So It Begins. Three quite different bitches competed in this class with the win going to this 5 yr old wheaten who very much appealed. Totally feminine, yet with such good bone and substance and so very well handled here. She presented a lovely outline with strong neck of moderate length, characteristic topline, first class ribbing, muscular loin and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Delightful head and expression with good width to skull, well defined stop, excellent eye and ear, powerful muzzle and good dentition. She is soundly constructed both ends and is well developed in forechest. On the move, she covered the ground when viewed in profile and also pleased on the down and back. Good quality jacket. CC.
2. Howarth’s Ch Amhard Sugar Plum. 3 yr old wheaten who has much to like and she was very good to go over. Feminine throughout with muscular neck of correct length to give balance, topline rises as desired, well sprung ribs, strength to loins and tail well set on and of good carriage. Correctly proportioned head with good width to skull, well defined stop, round eyes of good colour which are placed well apart, rose ears, strong foreface and scissor bite. She too has pleasing angulation and a well developed forechest. Moving freely all through with good carriage but winner just had the edge. RCC.
3. George’s Romainville Steel Magnolia

1. Forbes’ Ch Jeonty Dreams A Dream with Karensbrae JW ShCEx. 7 yr old wheaten who was particularly well handled here and showed herself off at all times. She presented a very good outline with moderate length of neck, topline rises towards the loin, good length to ribcage and ribs well sprung, she has breadth to loins and tail is just right for set and carriage. Quality head with feminine expression; good skull, eyes of good colour and placement in the skull, correct ears, defined stop, strength to foreface and scissor bite. I would just have liked to see a tad more forechest but this really didn’t detract too much such is her quality. On the move she went so well on the go around and pleased coming towards. Good quality jacket. Close up for the RCC here today.
