 My sincere thanks to the committee for this opportunity to judge this quality Group and the hospitality was very much appreciated. My thanks to the exhibitors and fellow judges for the quality of dogs that came through for me to assess. Some close decisions had to be made. A most enjoyable day. 


G1 4875 - Ch Winter Melody Triple Trouble at Amical, Breed: Siberian Husky (Mr E Rees)

Feminine Fox-like head with well-placed erect ears. Lovely eye and expression. Moderate neck into well-built body, straight legs on good feet and firm elbows. Well bent stifle, good hocks and tail well set on and well covered. Presented in super coat and projects a balanced moderate picture. Moved with light footed action over the ring and kept up her first-class performance until the final decision..

  

G2 4636 - Ch Philoma Simon Templar at Barnsdale, Breed: Giant Schnauzer (Mr M, Mrs J & Miss H O Houchin)

Masculine head of good length with good skull gradually tapering to eye and nose. Dark eye and good ears. Moderate strong neck into well-built strong body of good depth. Good quality bone on good feet. Strong thighs and firm hocks. Tail well set on and well carried. Presented in good harsh coat and moved with good striding gait holding good top line.

  

G3 4754 - Sandbears Twenty Two, Breed: Newfoundland (Ms S Blake)

 Head of good size and shape with skull of good breadth and muzzle not too long. Clean dark eye and well-placed ears. Strong clean neck into well-proportioned body, good depth, straight strong legs on good feet. Ribs well back and well-developed rear. Good tail and in immaculate condition. Moved with drive and free gait. Holding good top line.

  

G4 4824 - Ch Chandlimore Boys Night in, Breed: St Bernard (Mr B & Miss A Deegan & Grainger)

Well-proportioned and lovely type and size. Head of good size, short muzzle and good eye. Ears well placed. Neck of good length, muscular and fitting well into body. Strong straight legs and good feet. Broad back, good ribs, well developed rear and good tail. Presented in good condition with good markings. Moved with good, coordinated stride over ring holding a balanced picture.



Also shortlisted for a further final assessment were quality exhibits, Alskan Malmute - Kaskae Eiffel For You, Dobermann - Multi Ch Protocol’s The Midas Touch (imp USA), Russian Black Terrier, Ir Ch Erussky Black Widow (Ai) and Portugues Water Dog – Ch Rarjo Captain Curl MacDuff.
