It was an honour to be asked to judge today. The committee and exhibitors were friendly and welcoming to both myself and Pauline, the student judge who was present in the ring all day. 

Baby Puppy Dog 1

1st Dooley; Olander Vom Bruggener Land, just 5 months old. What a super promising puppy, beautifully balanced head, front, body and hindquarters with plenty of bone, very settled on the move and will watch him with interest. 

Veteran Dog 3-1

1st Perry & Etches; Ch Starvon Cryptic Spyda, 9 years old This male was so familiar when I was going over him and until I wrote the CC had no idea who he was. Loved his overall shape as a youngster and he’s just got better and better. Masculine wedge shaped head, good ear placement, dark mask, muscular neck with super lay of shoulder, firm back with elliptical shaped body, neat natural bob tail, well-muscled hindquarters with good bend of stifle, parallel going away and on return. Harsh coat with clear harness markings, DCC & BIS BVD BVIS

2nd Uitendaal; Multi Ch Noriniikes Balder De Bombe 9 years old, another lovely balanced male not showing his age, just preferred head of 1st, well-muscled neck and forequarters, good length of rib with firm topline with well-muscled hindquarters, plenty of bone, lovely tight feet, effortless gait.

Puppy Dog 1

1st Drinkwater; Artig Take A Chance On Me, 11 months, solid in body for age, wedge shaped head with well-defined stop, mask clearing, dark eye, good ear carriage, strong neck on well-placed shoulders with good length of back with clearly defined harness markings. Strong hindquarters, with moderate turn of stifle, well-muscled throughout, a little apprehensive to begin with but settled. Might benefit from not such a heavy chain and looser lead. BPD RBPIS

Graduate Dog 2

1st Chaplain & Chaplain; Aescwine Cor Blimey. 22 month old male of good type, nice masculine wedge shaped head with good ear set and dark eyes, strong neck and well laid shoulders, clear harness markings, good depth of chest, strong back and top line, moderate bend of stifle, well-muscled. Moved well. Just needs to body up. 

2nd Husbands; Bowkol Farming Odyssee, slightly longer in body than 1st and not quite the lay of shoulder which showed in his movement. Slower maturing dog

Post Graduate Dog 3

1st Day, Lampen & Wilson; Vallhollow Born In The USA St For Rosco (imp USA) just turned 2 years old, dark coloured male that really needs hands on to appreciate his finer points, clean cut blunt wedge shaped head, defined stop with dark oval eyes & well placed pricked ears, lovely strong underjaw, strong neck, well placed shoulders with good forechest and depth of chest, well boned legs and strong top line, neat natural bob tail, well-muscled broad hindquarters with good bend of stifle, easy mover. In the challenge he really pushed CC winner hard. RDCC RBIS

2nd Linney & Atkinson; Aeswine Bottom Dollar, 3 year old male, not the biggest male but balanced both fore and aft, super on the move which gained him this place.

3rd Cameron & Woods; Bowkol Kynligr Odyssee,

Limit Dog 3

1st Peacock & Jackson; Danga’s Sune Jamesson at Kirkholme (imp SWE) Easy winner here, masculine blunt head with moderate stop, dark eyes and rims of correct shape, ears erect. Well-muscled neck on gently sloping shoulders, nice depth of chest with good forechest and closely fitted elbows with clearly defined harness. Good length of back with strong loin, well-muscled hindquarters, lovely little natural bob tail with moderate bend of stifle, correct amount of bone, movement was easy and ground covering, very balanced.

2nd Spry; Westorps Wild Thing To Pepperthyme (imp SWE), masculine head with soft expression, moderate neck and shoulders, good length to height ratio, just felt I would like a little bit more of him all over. Not as steady on the move as 1st.

3rd Smith, Smith & Stockbridge; Ruanticx Spyro The Dragon With Valladar,

Open Dog

All super males who are so similar and could all have swapped places very easily.

1st Strong & Clinton; Ch Ohanaway Having A Blast at Mackjama, 6 year old male, sturdily built, masculine head, dark oval shaped eyes, medium size pricked ears. Muscular neck going into well laid shoulders, elbows close to chest, nice forechest, ribs well sprung, body of good length, muscled hindquarters, well boned legs with tight feet, harsh coat, extremely easy mover which won him this class.

2nd Perry & Etches; Ch Starvon Easy On The I Edison, 4 years old, balanced and well-muscled all through, just not so fluid on the move as 1st.

3rd Uitendaal; Multi Ch Noriniikes Iene Miene Mutte 

4th Mcardle; Ch Starvon Get The Drinks In For Monascreebe,

5th Drinkwater; Ch Danga’s Norton Junkerson In Galerita (Imp Swe)

Veteran Bitch 3

Three lovely veteran bitches all not showing their age. 

1st Day: Ch Starvon Binit Sinit Dunit with Kiekholme, 9½ years old who I’ve judged before as a youngster, feminine head, clear mask, dark eyes, muscular neck, shoulders long and well laid back, oval shaped chest, good spring of rib, loin strong, back firm, solid well-muscled hindquarters, harsh coat, won this class on her lovely steady movement, BVB RBVIS

2nd Dodd Ch Tanellis Bloomin Primrose, 8 years old bitch who is beautifully balanced with good height to length ratio, very similar comments as 1st just felt not quite the drive of 1st.

3rd Cox; Feuervale’s Torchwood (Imp Che)

Minor Puppy Bitch 1

1st Pallatina; Valltineya Chex Me Out, 8 month old red bitch, very feminine, quite raw at the moment, just needs time to body up, feminine blunt wedge head, super dark eyes, pricked ears, nice length of neck, good shoulder placement, moderate spring of rib, nice tail set with good rear angulation and enough bone, lovely harsh outer coat, very easy strides.

Puppy Bitch 1 

1st King; Danga’s Tindra Gimlidotter at Forvana (imp SWE). 10 month old and very steady both on the move and standing. Nice wedge shaped head with well-defined mask, nice eye shape with good strong underjaw, strong neck, well laid shoulders with nice depth to her chest, strong back and loin and once she settled moved out with plenty of drive, BPB BPIS

Graduate Bitch 1

1st Dodd; Tanellis Dare To Love, 23 month old bitch, blunt wedge shaped head with well-defined stop and mask, nice dark eye with dark rims, medium size pricked ears, correct bite with good underjaw. moderate neck on well-placed shoulders with good length of back and clearly defined harness markings, firm hindquarters with moderate turn of stifle, well-muscled throughout and quite positive on the move once settled, I would just like a little more of her.

Post Graduate Bitch 2

1st Linney & Atkinson; Aescwine C’est La Vie, 2 year old bitch, quite pale in colour, bodying up well. Very feminine head with soft expression, well placed ears and nice length to neck on good lay of shoulder, ribs of adequate length with firm loin and good rear angulation, steady mover, just needs time to mature, lovely harsh coat.

2nd Cox; Ruanticx Final Fantasy, also 2 year old darker coated bitch of good breed type, just finer all through than 1st and I felt slightly longer in body, also not so positive in her rear movement as 1st.

Limit Bitch 3

1st Linney & Atkinson; Aescwine Cuz Everyone Talks, litter sister to post grad winner, slightly darker in colouring with dark mask, blunt wedge shaped head, dark oval eyes, neat pricked ears, muscular neck sitting into well placed shoulders, chest reaching elbows, ribs well sprung, body firm with strong loin, well-muscled hindquarters with well bent stifles, enough bone, tight feet, powerful on the move. 

2nd Conway& Oakden; Starvon Hello There at Spawood, 2 year old bitch, similar to 1st but just appeared longer in body. Extremely easy movement.

3rd Fernandez & Hobbs; Valaller Copyright,

Open Bitch 6-1

1st Linney & Atkinson; Ch Aescwine Ampelography, 5 year old bitch, lovely honest bitch, nice blunt wedge shape to head with dark oval eyes and well placed medium sized ears to give that intelligent alert expression. Muscular neck on well-placed shoulders with good breadth of chest, well sprung ribs with firm back, good rear angulation with enough muscle to allow free steady movement, coat harsh with well-defined harness markings, In challenge she really showed the power in her effortless movement, BCC BOS.

2nd Pallatina; Ch Valltineya Lasso Ur Dreams JW, 3 year old red bitch, very similar in type to 1st nice blunt shaped wedge head with good stop, dark eyes. Correct bite with good underjaw. Strong neck, good lay of shoulders and depth of chest, level top line with moderate tuck up. Good rear angulation, well-muscled, very steady on the move. Harsh coat. RCC

3rd Amon; Ch Pepperthyme Wild Fire,

4th Day; Ch Starvon Gives me Goose Bumps,

5th Uitendaal; Multi Ch Sharinjah Simasuu,
