1st: Torlay – Smart Dezine

Black & White, 3 years old. A lovely quality exhibit with excellent size and overall balance. Scored highly for head properties, true and firm in front, and quite compact in overall makeup. Displayed a level back, correct tailset, and good rear angulation. A very good mover coming and going, gaiting soundly throughout. Moved and showed well, and was presented in excellent condition.

2nd: Thain – Karamyst Flashlight

Black & White, 2½ years old. Quite sound and compact in makeup, with a good head, front, and nice large feet. Scored well in body qualities. Unfortunately became unsettled on the table after something appeared to disturb him, which affected his composure. However, once settled, he moved well and was well presented throughout.

Black & White, top-quality dog of 19 months. Super balance and style, and greatly pleasing in head, eyes, and neck. Firm in front, with nice body depth, square in outline, a level back, firm loins, and correct tailset. A good mover who outmoved all the others in the class. In the challenge, just lost out on maturity.

2nd: Armstrong & Hogg – Jam Yang Khor Sangmo La Mani Cum Colji (IMP DEU)

Grey, 3 years old. A quality exhibit with a good head, front, body, and topline. Compact in build with well-turned stifles and sound hocks. Fairly precise on the move and presented in nice condition.

Open Dog (3 Entries)

1st: Pediani – Ch Araki Yubetcha JW

Gold & White, 3 years old. An outstanding quality exhibit, absolutely bang in form. Very well balanced, compact in body and square in outline, with a superb head. True and firm in front, with an ideal neck, topline, loins, and quarters. Moved faultlessly, true both coming and going, and gaited well with good carriage. Presented in super order. CC and Best of Opposite Sex.

2nd: Chamberlain & Jiggins – Ch/Int/Fr/Hun Ch Araki Shamana

Black & White, 5 years old. Another quality, smart dog with a very good head. Compact and well balanced, with superb make and shape. Looking really good and only narrowly losing to the winner on condition. Moved very well. A very close decision, and I’m sure these two will change places many times in the future — I was simply splitting hairs. Reserve CC.

Another shown in excellent condition; I just preferred the overall outline of the winner on the day. A very close decision, and I am sure these two will change places many times in the future.
