Quite well made but lacks the substance of the winner. Square, compact outline with good width and depth to rib, strong topline and high set tail. Strong and positive on the move with a well-balanced profile going round. Good harsh coat. 2nd: 3012 MERCER, Mrs Mary Ann Balthazar Fernando At Fennymore R/R Square outline with good tail-set nice neck and high set tail but a little rangy at this stage and needs to fill out as he matures. Pleasing head with round dark eyes, good nose pad and layback. Moved pretty well going and coming and in profile. 3rd: Res: VHC: Class 1437 JD (3 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: 7243 Mr A BARBI Cilleine Last Wicket For Sparlero R/R Promising dog with nice size to rounded head and typical expression from dark round eyes, broad underjaw and fairly neat ears. Good outline to body with nice width and depth to ribs, moderate angulation and nice bone. Carried himself well on the move. BJ 2nd: 2999 GREEN, Miss Rachel Emily Newtonians One Who Wandered B/T Sm Square outline with nice top-line and neck, and moderate angulation but not as cobby as the winner. Dark round expressive eyes, nice nose pad and cheeky expression. I would like a shorter coat. Accurate coming and going on the move and lovely balanced profile going round. Good size to rounded head, well-turned up fore-face and large open nose pad, dark round eye. Excellent profile going round on the move with a free, relaxed gait and nicely accurate coming and going. CC. This was my dog winner the last time I judged, shown here because I was a late substitute judge. It was a fresh challenge for him, there were plenty of top-quality dogs to choose from on the day, many of whom were not entered last time. And, I would have had no hesitation in coming to a different conclusion on this occasion if I thought the situation had changed. 2nd: 3017 SELBY, Mr Mark & SELBY, Mrs Yvonne & ALLEN, Miss C Zilcan Captain Cave Man R/R Lovely square outline with good neck and head carriage, high tail-set, pleasing moderate angles front and rear, and nice rib cage. Appealing head with width to underjaw, nice turn up and expressive eyes giving typical expression. R/R Promising bitch with quite broad under-jaw, nicely laid-back nose pad and typical expression. Nice proportions to out-line and good neck. Very nice substance and moderate angles with good neck and tail-set. Her coat was not at its best today, so she looked less substantial than she is, but the texture is there. Lovely head with, expressive eye, good turn-up, width of underjaw and laid-back nose. Moved very well. 2nd: 2993 BARNEY, Mrs D M Cilleine Timeless R/R Top quality baby, with square proportions, pleasing rib cage and moderate angles front and rear. Harsh coat and lovely head and expression with dark round eyes, good width of jaw and laid back nose pad. Very expressive dark round eye, good nose pad and pleasing width to underjaw. Harsh coat and she moved well coming and going and with a very balanced profile going round. 2nd: 3005 HERSHAW, Mrs T A Beauborne What's On At Tremaloy B/T Nice type with expressive rounded head with dark round eyes, quite good turn-up and laid-back nose pad, and neat ears. Quite square in outline, with fare width of rib cage but could use more substance. Rounded head with open features, dark round expressive eyes and good nose pad, whilst not the neatest of ears. She moved quite accurately coming and going and kept her shape going round. 2nd: 3008 MCGILL, Mrs Rasa Bjulaseta Honey Spring R/Sm Lots to like, she has the correct short tight coat that seems to alluded a number of smooths today. She also has a nice square outline, whilst she could be broader in body. Nicely rounded head with expressive eyes with an accurate action coming and going and a richly coloured coat. 3rd: Res: VHC: Class 1447 LB (4 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 3011 MERCER, Mrs Mary Ann Fennymore Annie Power R/R Excellent type, strongly made body with a square proportions, moderate angulation and good width to body, with crested neck and high-set tail. Expressive head with good width to her face, well turned-up jaw, laid-back nose pad, dark round eye and strong pigment. Very alert expression and I think the “terrier disposition” quote in the standard was written especially for her. Moved well with a very balanced profile going round. Res CC 2nd: 2998 GREEN, Miss Rachel Emily Beauborne Stefani Topmead B/T R Square proportions with strong topline and moderate angulation front and rear, and high set tail. But I would like a little more of her. Rounded head with dark eye and turned up underjaw. Moved quite well coming and going with a nice smooth action going round. 3rd: 2995 BLORE, Mrs Val H Movalian Burning Desire Res: 3008 MCGILL, Mrs Rasa Bjulaseta Honey Spring VHC: Class 1448 OB (7 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: 3003 GUY, Mr D Ch Donzeata Royal Etiquette R/Sm Impressive bitch with lovely substance, square compact proportions with pleasing width to rib and loin, crested neck, high set tail, good substance and short tight coat. Lovely rounded head with open features, neat ears, dark round eyes, broad, well turned-up underjaw and well laidback, open nose pad giving very typical expression. Good accuracy on the move coming and going with a smooth balanced side action going round. CC BOB 2nd: 3002 GULLON, Mr C J Ch Datiro Chickadee JW OSW R/Sm Excellent bitch very compact, and typey, with square outline, big rib cage, broad loin, nice neck and high-set tail. Good size to her rounded head, dark eyes and good nose pad and turned up muzzle giving very alert expression but not quite matching the winners “softness” for me.
