1. Ellis’ Ch. Philoma Wicked JW. Very balanced bitch, good overall proportions but took the class with her absolutely sound movement both in profile and on the out and back, nice feminine head, good shoulder, good turn of stifle, strong top-line, shown in good coat and condition, nice example of the breed, BB & BOB.

2. Houchin’s Ch. Philoma Simon Templar at Barnsdale. Wonderful dog, masculine head and expression, good dark eye, nice reach of neck, strong top-line, well angulated, very well handled and presented however on the day tended to toe in somewhat on the out and back, BD.

1. Forrest/Lucas’ Bernmont Sergeant at Philandros. Preferred the movement of 1 on the day which was somewhat tighter on the out and back, albeit on a somewhat uneven ground, good head and expression, excellent angulation fore and aft, strong top-line, correct bone, good feet and pasterns, absolutely sound on the move, DCC & BOB.

2. Macdonald’s Ch Kenbloom Have A Nice Day at Chedham. Somewhat larger male but excellent balance viewed in profile, good head and expression, good angulation but a little bit loose from behind on the out and back, RDCC.

1. Edwards’ Cyronelle Forest Fern. Nice 7 month old bitch, feminine head and expression, strong top-line, good turn of stifle, moderate angulation fore and aft, easy if somewhat untidy at this stage with movement on the out and back however impressive in profile, BP.

1. Clarke’s Parleshan Ebony Rose (imp IRE). Very nice 20 month old bitch, lovely head and expression, good angulation, correct reach of neck, strong top-line, good feet, good pasterns, strong bone and absolutely moved to advantage, BCC.

2. Edwards’ Cyronelle Pudgie Bear. Nice head, good expression, powerful shoulders, good front angulation but somewhat straight in the stifle.

1. Phillips’ Ch. Surleval Draig Sisu. 3 year old with very nice balance fore and aft, correct croup, good bone, moved impressively in profile, a touch untidy on the out and back and out of coat on the day but very well handled and presented, RBCC.

BOXER

I was delighted with my overall entry of Boxers, all of whom were handled and shown to advantage and shown in good condition, the ground surface was, to say the least lumpy and the exhibits coped particularly well with that on the day.

1. Fay-Smith’s Lorrosa Uptown Funk. Very nice young male, correct muzzle to skull proportions, good reach of neck, well set shoulders, square in profile, good croup, tail set and carriage, parallel ground covering gait.

1. Brown/Hutchings’ Winuwuk Ain’t No Sunshine. Preferred the overall balance of 1 on the day, masculine ‘puppy head’ good reach of neck, square in profile, balanced angulation, out-moved the class with his parallel ground covering gait.

2. Pynegar’s Berwynfa Pole Position. Correct head, good angulation, strong top-line, not the quite the croup and tail set of 1 but tidy on the out and back and good ground covering gait in profile.

3. Spencer’s Ashronsha Mr Lover Lover.

1. Mair’s Lorrosa Dizzy Rascal at Glenauld JW. Lovely example of the breed, correct head proportions, good bone, correct feet and pasterns, strong top-line, well angulated, easy ground covering gait, RDCC.

2. Pynegar’s Berwynfa Racing Lines. 9 month old youngster, good head and expression, well set ears, somewhat moderate in shoulder at this stage but nice turn of stifle and whilst somewhat narrow on the out and back, it should be remembered he is only a puppy.

1. Renshaw Turner/Turner’s Newlaithe Northern Soul at Sonshoby. I would have preferred a little more underjaw but moderate angulation fore and aft, square in profile, a touch straight in pastern but absolutely parallel on the out and back.

1. Robinson’s Legend of Thor at Robinsteck JW. Correct head proportions, good dark eye, good underjaw, balanced angulation fore and aft, good bone, correct feet and pasterns, easy ground covering gait.

1. Merritt’s Diceulon Top Hat and Tails at Merquin (AI). Somewhat broad in skull but excellent overall proportions, strong top-line, well angulated and also sound on the move, good feet and pasterns.

1. McCarthy/Gething’s Ch. Boxania Romanoff to Jeddhi. Impressive male, correct skull proportions, good reach of neck, powerful shoulders, correct bone, good feet and pasterns, well angulated fore and aft, absolutely sound on the move, well handled and presented, DCC.

2. Mair’s Ch. Macbarra Kickin Up A Storm at Glenauld JW. Just preferred the head of 1 whilst this exhibit has a good square profile, strong top-line and moved to advantage.

3. Van-Beck’s Ch. Newlaithe Respect JW.

1. Jones/Charles’ Charlons Perseus. Very sound 8 year old, a little short in underjaw but good reach of neck, powerful shoulder, strong top-line, well muscled throughout, sound on the move, BV.

1. Pearn’s Bonmac Little Star JW. Lovely 2 year old bitch, correct feminine head, good dark eye, balanced angulation, good croup and tail set, well tucked in elbows, absolutely sound on the move, delighted she went on to win the Special Beginners Group 1st place, BSpB.

1. Fay-Smith’s Lorrosa Treasure. Lovely minor puppy bitch, charming feminine head and expression, square profile, balanced angulation, good feet and pasterns, absolutely sound on the move when settled.

2. Huckerby/Dowell’s Norwilbeck Bellchime Syrah. Good feminine head, nice reach of neck, good top-line but ‘threw’ a hock when moved on the out and back which I am sure will resolve itself in time.

1. Van-Beck/Taylor’s A’diddle Respect for Newlaithe. Lovely young puppy who was the most ‘up together’ of the 4 on the day, feminine head, excellent balance and angulation, good bone, well knuckled up feet and a lovely prospect, BP.

2. Brown/Hutchings’ Winuwuk Seasons In The Sun. Well proportioned head but plenty of ‘wrinkle’ at this stage, nice balance, strong top-line and sound on the move.

3. Spencer’s Ashronsha Dolly My Love.

1. Mair’s Longsdale Stormy Lovers at Glenauld. Lovely junior, feminine head and expression, balanced angulation, level top-line and absolutely sound on the move.

1. Van-Beck’s Newlaithe Come On Y’all JW. A very nice youngster, feminine head, balanced fore and aft, good pasterns and nice feet, square in profile and a very nice prospect.

2. McCarthy/Gething’s Boxania Don’t Blame Me at Jeddhi. An attractive youngster, good dark eye, well set ears, well angulated but her hocks were somewhat loose on the move on this particular day.

1. Kelly’s Casemates Witch Time. Lovely feminine head, good reach of neck, powerful shoulders, strong top-line, well angulated fore and aft, correct bone, good feet and pasterns, RBCC.

2. Pearn’s Bonmac Little Star JW. Repeat.

This was a particularly strong class.

1. Brown/Hutchings’ Winuwuk Firecracker. Out-moved the class, shown in lovely coat and condition, feminine head of good proportions, nice dark eye, excellent angulation, strong top-line, absolutely sound on the move, impressive both in profile and on the out and back, I was delighted that she went on to achieve Group 3 on the day, BCC & BOB.

2. Mair’s Merribox In Cahoots with Glenauld JW. Another very nice bitch, square profile, good reach of neck, strong top-line, good feet and pasterns, absolutely sound on the move.

3. McDonald’s Yeteb Little Miss Splendid.

Two very nice exhibits, I just felt that 1 demonstrated a square profile on the day.

1. McCarthy/Gething’s Ch. Lorrosa My Heads Been Turned to Jeddhi. Well angulated, lovely head and expression, strong top-line, shown in excellent coat and condition, absolutely sound on the move.

2. Carter’s Ch. Susancar Celia Deal. A lovely bitch I have had the pleasure of judging in the past and is a wonderful example of the breed possessing many merits but today she wasn’t quite able to hold her square profile on occasion, however this should not distract from the undoubted qualities of this bitch.

3. Brown/Hutchings’ Winuwuk Ghostly Affair.
