Samoyeds

Thank you so much to the committee for inviting me to judge and especially to the exhibitors for a fantastic entry.

I have to say a special THANK YOU to my amazing stewards, who kept the ring running beautifully. So often these people are forgotten and without them we would not have these shows! They keep every thing running and on time. Not to mention all that paperwork!

The breed as it stands now is in very good hands. I congratulate the breeders on the wonderful dogs. Decisions were hard and I feel many could easily change places. I was told afterwards we have a New Champion so CONGRATULATIONS!

It was a pleasure and privilege to go over such super dogs,.

I last judged at SKC and noted a concern about eye shape and size . I did notice again 2 years later that even in younger dogs ,there were a few small eyes, and incorrect shape which completely changes the lovely smiling expression, but overall the balance was good but please can you try to address it. . Also to note a lack of silver tips. It was a glorious sunny day, but few dogs sparkled. Last thing to note is size. PLEASE keep an eye on that as many were top of the standard and it is something that can creep in and go unnoticed until it is too late. On the good side, Lovely coat condition, with super harsh coats, also movement was super. . And finally as always it was lovely to feel the warm atmosphere from the exhibitors. A beautiful breed and equally warm and friendly people.

Strong pastern, straight front, whichever angle I looked was pleasing and balanced. All the sammy traits were there in abundance including feet and feathering and it just kept getting better. Strong loin, well set tail, strong hocks, everything was right about this girl. I was thinking when she moved and boy did she move. OB (6/2) 1st Taronakits It's Kayanova JW (Miss A Haffenden) Everything you want and in the right place! This young lady came in and just commanded the ring. Superbly balanced body, exquisite head with good pigmentation, dark almond eye set to give that heart warming sammy expression and that lovely broad head, and neat stop. No sign of coarseness, no weakness, just pure balance. Going over her was a dream, she screamed breed type, neck not too long not short, well arched, and onto well laid shoulder. She took me back to all the samoyeds I have been over and to me she was perfection she had all the attributes in the right place, Head and expression check, feet, and feathering check, strong back, supporting well sprung ribs, and a lovely deep chest. Harsh outer coat with silver tips this lady had it all, and she moved! My Pleasure to award BCC and RBOB pushing the boy very closely had she been in full bloom it was a no brainer, it really was pulling at straws. I found out it was her third that day, and my RCC winner was her daughter, so a delightful end to a days judging. 2nd Vandreem Imperial Amore (A & B W Jebson) what a stunner, so pushed to decide on her and my winner she had everything going for her classic headpiece, and lovely expression, really good reach of neck, and good legs, strong bone, you really would have to look hard to find any fault if there were any, and to see her on the move was an absolute pleasure. As she covered the ground with ease. My only reason for 2nd and even then I looked and looked again was she is well up to size. I said once she would have her day, and I am sure of it that day will come. Sammies mature slowly, so keep going. She will make it! Every dog has their day, and hers will come. 3rd Ch Lisa Z Limanowskiej Kotliny to Vandreem (Imp Pol) (Mrs A & Miss N Kirkwood & Carruthers)
